Today had been an alright day so far, as far as days went recently anyway. He'd worked some hours first thing which was money and it was pretty nice out today so instead of heading back to Abel's place Taavi climbed onto Valour's back and directed the Braviary over to the park, all of them could do with the fresh air and stretching their.... Well whatever it was each of them stretched.
Once they alighted and Valour was in the air again Taavi took three pokeballs from his belt and released a Dratini, a Chingling, and a grey Vulpix. "Hey guys," he offered the trio a smile. "I thought it would be a nice day for a walk? And if we go by the pond we can let Kielo out too." He hadn't meant to keep the feebas egg that Mulder and Scully had brought to him, only to look after it until it was able to fend for itself but when it had turned out to be shiny.... People did terrible things to shiny pokemon and because of them, she was better off with him and she didn't seem to want to go anyway so it all worked out.
The Vulpix stretched and yawned, sniffed around at the ground a bit and then set off at a leisurely pace closely followed by the Dratini. Taavi scooped up the Chingling, placed her on his shoulder and then followed after the pair. Stress and fear were never far from his mind these days, and they had made their mark on him in his drawn tired features, but for now at least he was content in the spring air and the company of his friends.

It was getting warmer... thank Arceus! Citrine really didn't care for the cold. Winter clothing was too bulky. Winter in Kodo made her miss her desert home, but she wasn't going to go home any time soon. She'd been training hard lately, and decided to take a break. It just so happened that today, the park was planting flowers, and had teams of volunteers helping. Citrine hadn't seen so many flowers in one place in her life! This was great! She'd spent all morning digging and planting flowers in neat rows along paths and trails and in the various flower beads around the park. It was hard work, but it was so much fun! They'd finished now, though, and Citrine was streaked and smudged with dirt and sweat from working so hard. But OH! Did it feel great to help like that! She decided to take a walk around the park now to see how all the flowers looked. Everyone had worked so hard this morning, she was going to enjoy their labor!
Of course, she wasn't going to enjoy it alone. Nornsteen was called out, more then happy to hang around her trainer out of sight. It was maybe a little too hot for Betty, but Schala could totally use more time out in the fresh air! Really, everyone could, but she wasn't comfortable unleashing everyone at once. So Citrine just walked along with her espurr at her heels, and Nornsteen somewhere near by, probably in the shadows.
"Isn't this nice out here, Schala?" Citrine asked the little psychic type. The feline wasn't paying too much attention to her as she chased a little bug across the dirt. Citrine laughed a little... until the little thing took off at a run down the path. "SCHALA!" Oh that darn cat! Citrine took off at a run after her.
The little espurr ran along the path, taking a sharp turn around a hedge, and almost ran right into a vulpix! "Purr!" The little one stopped so fast she nearly tumbled over.

"Woah, careful there!" Taavi smiled down at the Espurr who had almost run into Swift. "You don't want to cause an accident there.... Are you Schala by any chance?" From the rather urgent sounding voice calling that name he was willing to bet that she was.
<> Swift observed; he'd flinched a bit when she charged around the corner but now that he saw there was no threat he'd relaxed again and offered the psychic type a slight smile. <>

"Purr pur purr! Espurr es purr!" The little espurr waved her paws around. She didn't seem frightened or anything, just excited. "It's a race. My human just doesn't know it yet." She was very proud of herself, being able to out run her human. Specially now that she was apparently hot and tired. Citrine saw someone over the bushes, he was just standing there and seemed to be talking to someone? She rounded the well manicured hedge and spotted her espurr.
"Schala~!" She whined. "Why do you have to run off like that?" She carefully picked up the feline, then looked at the young man and his pokemon. "I'm so sorry. She didn't bother you, did she?" Citrine was quite dirty today. Head to toe she had dirt smudged here and there over her medium tan skin and clothes. Her green hair was in two braids over her shoulders and she had a large-brimmed hat on her head. "I hope you were being nice." She said, poking the espurr in the belly, getting a ticklish squeak from the pokemon.

Scully sighed slightly and shook her head. <>
"No, she's no bother," Taavi replied with a smile to the... err... the rather earthy looking girl. "Um," he tucked a braid of hair behind his ear, tried to think of something else to say, and after a pause went for; "So she's Schala, who're you? I'm Taavi and these are Swift, Scully, and Melody. Pleased to meet you!"
'Did you fall down in the mud or...?' No. 'So did you know you have a bit of dirt on your...?' No. Nope, he could think of no good way to bring up the fact that she was smudged all over in dirt so he wasn't going to say anything at all.
