Mudskipper flitted from branch to branch for a while before collapsing on Mire's bottom in the clearing. She smirked at him quietly, and sniffed a nearby flower that she'd been attracted to the scent of, and had slumped down by. The breeze was cool, the babbling brook provided some much needed ambiance, and the birds chirped songs to each other far above them. The only thing she wished she could see better was the sunlight; but most of it came in shades of grey to her. It was still just, in general, a very lovely day. She hummed quietly to herself, enjoying a common peaceful solitude that she'd come too familiar with. Mudskipper only quirked his head and squeaked occasionally, more interested in the bugs flying by than Mire's boring quiet.
"If you want to go play, you can," she said simply, eyes closed and face to the nice breeze. "No one's holding you here by your tail," she joked, putting a hoof on the end fluff while he squeaked indignantly at her until she giggled and lifted it, tucking her leg back under her. "Go on," she sang in a sleepy voice, "I'll still be here when you get back, so long as it's not dark."
