It was not often Fell took the underground paths at the edge of the Swamp. The enclosed space and hard-packed floors were too alien to the buck, and the bioluminescent mushrooms that lighted the path too bizarre. They were cultivated, he supposed, by the loose-skinned kin that frequented these caverns.
