That was my first thought when my mom told me Trump won.

I asked my beau, "This is how the end of the world starts, isn't it?"
His reply, "Yeah, probably. This is how the Empire started in Star Wars, anyway."
In other news, the dollar has already lost more than 3% of its value in the past day.
And we managed to crash Canada's immigration site.
(And apparently the Mexican peso has basically gone into a freefall, not sure if related...)
At least we still have Marvel movies?
*totally went to see Doctor Strange today*

I was totally grieving today, Paladin. Like, so depressed. Anyway, I'm really glad you saw a movie, Brandy! I like it when you see movies o.o

I saw Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children on Monday.

The only movies I go to see are kids movies or superhero movies. >>;
(It was a toss up between Kubo and Doctor Strange yesterday, actually, but we'll probably wait until Kubo actually releases on DVD to watch it, Marvel's CG and special effects are always worth the theater trip.)
I think we might try to go see Wonder Woman when it comes out.
(I don't care about DC's movie track record, I actually happen to like most of them, plus, she looks like a BAMF.)
And they gave us teaser shots from the new live action Ghost in the Shell.
Hnnnnnng. MUST. SEE.
We don't go out of our way to watch much, though, because I'm a total child in my preferences. ('GIVE ME CARTOONS OR SUPERHEROES, EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS.')
Also because going to the movies wipes me out for a whole day even if we were two of a whole eight people in the enormous theater, and I often suffer migraines from movie-watching.

The last two times I went to the movies on MONDAY, early afternoon...NO ONE there. I was the only one in the movie theater! I waited until the movie had been out for weeks. That way no one is there with me. (Actually, I didn't do that intentionally, but that's how it happened to work out, and I was pleased with the result)

So yeah, avoiding people tips: Monday (when there's school for the children), early afternoon, weeks after movie is released.

Superhero movies and kids movies are great, though, so I don't blame you. Not everyone loves movies. I guess I'll have to add Doctor Strange to my watch list if YOU'RE watching it...because well, it's Da Brandy. (I still have to watch "Brave", and that's been out forever!)

Also, when I'm done with the movies, I'm ready to be back home (in part because popcorn gives me the fatigues!)

Well, it... HAS to be Tuesday or Wednesday for us, those are the days my beau gets off.
And Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the better choice, anyway; a lot of people take Mondays to get an extra day to their weekend.
And we only go matinee showings, anyway, it's expensive to go any other time.
If you like superhero movies, or just the actor Benedict Cumberbatch, I expect you'll enjoy Doctor Strange.
I actually saw Brave in theaters! My beau's mum took me to it. It's sooooo good.
(Maleficent is good, too. And Big Hero 6. And Rise of the Guardians. If you haven't seen them yet and want to binge kids movies. They've all been out for some time now. >>; )
We don't buy concessions, usually; I smuggle stuff in in my purse if we really want something. >>;
We've kinda derailed this topic. owo;

That's true. Matinee time is always better. It's actually busier on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when I go, but maybe that's just where I live. (Probably in the morning, you're right, it would be less busy. I'm a night owl and thus prefer going in the afternoon or night). I always want to buy popcorn; it's my treat, but it's certainly a lot cheaper if you don't.
Yes! I need to see all of them! I feel like I did see Maleficent...but it was a while ago, so I'm not sure.

Well, we can get back on track. Let's see what happens with this dystopia.

Ah, we go early afternoon, I just have my beau wake me in time for us to head out; in a theater that could probably seat two or three hundred, there were eight of us.
I imagine it was full opening weekend.
I used to love theater popcorn, but now I hate spending needlessly, so we go the cheaper route and skip concessions, plus my purse is basically a bag of holding so I can smuggle in all sorts of stuff.
Maybe you watched it in theaters? It premiered something like two years ago if I remember right. >>;
It might be a very serious nuclear winter sort of dystopia if things progress as Putin wants...
Word on the net is that Trump is basically going to pull us from NATO.
If the EU fractures and can no longer stave off war, and without us as an ever present watchdog like we normally are, Russia can start invading and make war whenever they please.
Goodbye Ukraine. Goodbye Baltic states. Hello new world war.
We'd have likely been better off with the kid from Iowa as president...

Yeah, the pursue is always the smuggle train xD

Yeah, if I did watch it, it was definitely in theaters.

Let's hope that doesn't happen then xD
