        █ BACKGROUND


Taya was born in a farmland with her older brother and father. Her mother died while she gave birth to Taya but her older brother Gabriel took care of her and raised while their father drinks his life away. As Taya have grown, she wanted to sing and dance and her brother supported all the way but their father how ever was a different story. Taya was tending to her mother's garden while Gabriel chopped some wood, their father walked over to her as she looks up at him, she was about to say something until she was slapped away.

Her father grabs her shirt and slaps her again as she begged him to stop but she saw a whip in his hand then she tries to crawl away then she screams out for help and hopefully her brother can save her. Gabriel heard his sister's cries as he runs toward her scream with the axe in his hand, he then saw his own father ontop of Taya then he grips the handle of his weapon as he runs over to his father, he tackles him while Taya crawls away.

Gabriel was so angry with his father for what he just done to his little sister and to his own daughter, Gabe punched his father as he moved toward Taya to make sure she was alright. Taya cries as she tries not to afraid then she screams again, Gabe told Taya to run which she did but as she ran, she heard Gabe's cry out in pain then his cries subsided then she cries as she started to run away.

Night soon fall as she was in a tree to make sure her father was not around, she gets out of the tree as she searches for her brother but there he was, body covered in gashes and cuts, she knew that she was too late to help him, she sobs quietly as she mourns the loss of her only friend and brother.

She looks up toward her him then she removes a silver cross necklace from her brother's neck then puts it on hers, she then struggles to move his body away from home to bury him with their mother. As she finished burying him, she grabs her gear quietly and carefully not to wake the monster that slept in her home then she ran away to be on her own and in hope of finding her own happiness and to where she can be safe from her father's wrath.
