The songbird chittered as the acha buck stumbled into the cave but it seemed her greeting was unheard. Exhausted as he was, the poor dear seemed to collapse once he found a pile of dry leaves and fluffy moss. She let out a soft series of coos before shifting into a mare.
Sweetly humming, she walked around the father-to-be. He was tired, that was for sure. Whether or not there was something he was in search of, specifically, besides her... No, she didn't think so. Just healthy children. Perhaps ones not so tired as he.
"Your children shall be healthy and strong, blessed with stamina to allow them to go the extra mile that others find more difficult. They will bring joy and love to those around them, especially those they hold dear. And for it, they shall never feel alone."
With a kind smile, she rested her nose against his forehead. He would feel rested in the morning and for awhile after that, too. Until then she felt the aches creep into her own body. She had little ones to check in on and though she ached, his ailment taken unto herself, she bore it with grace as she walked into the night.
