Though there wasn't much to fascinate him at this well-known academy, his aimless wandering had led him to the lake behind the monster dorms. Tch, why were monsters the only who had access to it? Decidedly not caring if he'd get in trouble for using it, he jumped in, immediately feeling more relaxed.
The sea was where he belonged, and though this was nothing more than a glorified puddle, it was tons better than being on land. It sucked that the student pin prevented him from taking on his natural form, but at least he still had his tail and fins, allowing for some mobility.
He took a deep breath and swam deeper, down and down. Far away from the surface, far from the light.
At least... that was the plan, until another sort of light caught his attention.
A soft, blue glowing light, beckoning him closer and closer...
