It wasn't really like Lyra to sit and brood. She usually dismissed things as easily as they came, always one to move with the flow and never against it... Well. That's not true either. She went against the flow when she didn't like it. But even so, the moping was unlike her... She was laying on her bed, hands behind her head, and curtains drawn. If she wanted to she could almost pretend that she was back in the forest, with the night sky above her head. But she couldn't really. Her legs were folded over each other, her feet idly tapping the air as she thought. She knew that she had another roomie. They'd told her that she had one, and the fact that the other side of the room was decorated now made it all to clear. She'd have to get used to living with someone again. She'd never lived with someone until now. She didn't trust anyone enough to live with them. Maybe spend the night with them or a couple days and mooch of them, but never live... She sighed a heavy sigh, as if she could get rid of all of her nerves by just exhaling. She knew it was entirely unrealistic to do so.
She'd have to suck it up... She wasn't going to be a b***h about this. She didn't know how her roomie felt about this reassignment, but she wasn't going to make it hard for them just because she was being petty. While it was true she didn't trust sleeping with or around someone unless she could ensure that they were sufficiently exhausted, it was kind of... Whatever. She knew that she was in a different environment now. The academy was nothing like the underworld... But old habits die hard, especially when they're what helped her live until now. But now she knew that this was just something else. She was going to make the most of this situation. She unfolded her legs and nodded her head. Standing up and opening the curtains and looking outside for a moment. She had a pretty good view from her room... It was nice. She knew this wouldn't be as bad as she was making it out to be. She scolded herself, relaxing a little bit. Who knows? Perhaps it'd be a chance to make a good new connection... She decided to wonder about her roomie instead, a different train of thought, as she sat on the windowsill. Relaxing in the warmth of the sun.

Doing this had to have been either the most daring or the absolutely most stupidest thing Azura could ever do. As he would scale the castle walls, Azura would feel somewhat tingly in his fingers as he’d be getting closer and closer to that window side that he’s looking for. Knocking on the window, Azura had himself supported by the window frame as he would hope she’d answer. Hey Julia? Can you open the window? It’s really cold here! Azura would ask, as he held on for dear life. There’s actually a reasonable explanation for this... but please hurry! It’s cold and slippery!! Azura pleaded.

It's been some time since Julia'd been reassigned to her new roommate and she wasn't sure they'd adjusted to the situation yet. They hadn't talked much, especially with Julia's penchant to stay outdoors as much as possible and so far, the nights were a little awkward. But she didn't let that bother her; Julia knew that either warm up to each other or the awkwardness would persist, either way, she could get by and it wasn't like the sitation would last forever. She's had worst roommates before anyway.
That morning, Julia had overslept after spending most of the night before playing with her bones, trying to improve her control. The sometimes-grating chirping of birds hadn't even woken her and so, when her eyes opened to see her Lyra gone and the room looking much brighter than it normally was, she almost immediately jumped out of bed, hurrying to get changed. She hadn't warmed up to her new Knit teacher even though Marisenn was incredibly friendly with her, but Julia didn't care to miss more of the class. She was almost out the door when she heard a familiar voice asking her to open the door, a voice that she'd never expected to have heard here.
"Azura?" she called out in shock, rushing to see him somehow hanging on to the window sill despite the cold she could feel even through the glass. She didn't waste anytime unlatched the window to let him in, shutting it quickly behind him. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in class now?" Any other time, she'd be crowing about the guts it took for Azura to make it this far despite how much trouble he'd get into, especially considering the time, but at the moment, all she could feel was surprise.

Thank goodness that she finally opened the window! As soon as she did, Azura quickly leaped inside and let out a loud huff of relief. It was good that he finally made it inside the room, but the fact that he did this was pretty bold and stupid. Oh thank gods... it was a long way down. Azura chuckled to himself as he sat on her bed. As soon as she asked why he wasn’t in class, Azura shrugged. Oh, well... why aren’t you? Azura would ask, seeing that she rushed to get ready. Anyway, so the reason I did this! I tried to get a job as a fisherman apprentice. Azura explained. Apparently there’s this guy in town who opened up a shop and sadly, I couldn’t find him. All I know is that he’s a shifter. Anyway, I kinda lost track of time in the forest and here I am. The head master was in the courtyard and he’d get me in trouble if I just walked in late through the front entrance, so here I am. Azura then saw by the floor of her door a piece of paper that seemed decorated. Wondering what it was, he picked it up and looked at the cover. Annual Gala.... what’s a gala? Azura asked her, handing her the paper.

With Azura safely inside, Julia couldn't help but giggle at his statement, which seemed incredibly nonchalant considering what Azura just did. "No, kidding," she shook her head; the room was rather high up. Now that he was here, Julia was acutely aware of how messy her side of the room was. It wasn't a dump by any means, but she wasn't in the habit of spending much time tidying so books and clothes and bags were strewn all over the dresser and chairs. Normally, this wouldn't bother her in the least, but she hadn't expected a friend to visit, especially not like this.
Shrugging off her discomfort for now, Julia raised an eyebrow at Azura's retort. "I was just about to leave when you appeared. You're damn lucky, any moment later and you'd have missed and stayed stuck out freezing," she added lightly. He then explained exactly what brought him out here and she had to admit, the whole thing sounded convoluted enough to border on ridiculous. Then again, Azura practically lived for ridiculously intensive training so that didn't surprise her. "So you thought the best way to avoid getting into trouble for entering late was to climb the walls of the girls' dormitory?" She smirked and shook her head. "No offense but I'd rather brave the mages." She was only half-serious, and it showed in her tone.
Suddenly remembering the time, Julia turned to call out to Azura, but before she could get them both out, he picked up an elaborate letter that she'd missed lying on the ground. Curiosity getting the better of her, she took a peek, and the announcement for the annual gala made her sigh. She'd forgotten about that. "It's just some dance they have every year, they've got nice food but it's usually really stuffy and boring." She spent her last two galas bored out of her mind and snacking, especially she was alone and couldn't use her raiment because it was 'improper'. It wasn't like she cared about that, but Marisenn always asked her to behave at these events and Julia always grudgingly conceded. Being Marisenn's ward meant that she couldn't avoid them either.
Julia grabbed the invitation from Azura's hands, but before she could throw it, an idea struck her. Both Kayl and Azura were first years and apparently, this was Azura's first gala considering he'd never heard of them before. She tilted her head appraisingly. "Say, do you want to go? I heard they're much better with friends." Since she couldn't ditch, the best thing she could do was spend the gala with her friends (she'd have to check that Kayl was going as well. If she had to suffer, they should too, and it might even be fun). It'd be a novel experience for sure.
That taken care of, it was time for something more important. "Come on! We need to get to class before Miss Troy gives us another lecture. And before someone sees you!" Julia did not want to hear from Marisenn about her attitude.

By the way she would move, it seemed she was very upset about the mention of the gala. It seemed to maybe be like some sort of ball for the entire school. The only time he ever heard of something like that, was in the islands. Even when she explained what it was, Azura just seemed a bit more intrigued than she was. Even when she spoke about her two cents about his decision to climb up the girls dorm rooms, he could tell that she wanted someone to go with. And at that moment, Azura was more than happy to say yes. Yeah, I wanna go! I've honestly never been to anything like that, really. And like you said, even better with friends! Azura would say, as she then brought up the fact that they were late to class.
Not only that, but when she said about him getting caught, that's when Azura finally realized it, and would blush a deep red. Yes, I agree! We need to leave now!! Azura said, as he would take her arm and begin to run. Hey Julia? I know it seemed weird, but why don't... You know, we go as a date? Azura would ask her as he would run with her to the classroom. Even though it was weird to say this out of nowhere while on a rush, it just seemed daring for him. Ever since that day he finally got over his fear of judgement, Azura would happily do anything, with his friends by his side. ((exits to classroom))

Vana would stand outside of Kissa’s room, knocking several times while waiting for an answer from inside. ”Hey Kissa!” She yelled from the hallway. ”Wanna go do somethin’ tahday? Reckon I aughtta take ya somewhere fun on our day off.”
Nora sat lazily on her bed, rubbing her eyes. She sighed, running her fingers through her hair as she as she sat on the edge of her bed for a little longer. Today was the day, the day to remember those who had died during the attacks. She didn't feel ready, but the time to leave her room would come whether or no she was ready for it. Nora slowly dressed in the clothes she had set out the night before, a black dress with a black collar and sheer loose sleeves along with a sheer area across the upper chest as well as long the back of the dress down to her mid back. It was a beautiful dress, Nora would have loved to wear it to a party or a special occasion, any occasion other than this one. As she looked at herself in the mirror and brushed through the tangles in her hair, she glanced outside to see people already heading out towards the cemetery. Letting out a huff of air out her nose, Nora quickly grabbed her shoes and headed out the door to follow the others that had already began wondering towards the cemetery. "At least I'll see some of my friends there." Nora thought with a sad smile. It would be nice to see everyone but she frowned at the thought of seeing them as sad as she felt inside at the moment. But she shoved the thoughts aside as she quietly closed the door behind her and headed out. ((Exit to Cemetery))
