The sudden exclamation made Yokka take a step back. Gutted? Worthless? An amused snort escaped her, and it was difficult to hold back the rest. After all that fuss, only to find that the coveted piece was useless!

She forced a deep breath, though the tremble of amusement remained as she spoke. "So.. can I have it now?"

Maritza sat back on her heels and groaned. After all that her well fought treasure was just another piece of garbage...It was humiliating! Especially when she looked around the exterior of the well box and saw the barely veiled amusement on the girls face.

It was enough to make her want to punch it off.

"Fine, take it. It's useless, you're useless; what a match the two of you make." Ritz stood up and bitterly gave her pants a dusting.

Wow, the gal was really heated over the disappointment. Yokka couldn't help a small wince at the harsh attack, but knew well enough than to take it to heart. This firehead knew nothing about her. "Maybe you should go ahead and take it then. It's as empty of any substance as you are," she said stiffly. "That's a pretty good match, too."

Mentally, Yokka prepared to run for it. It was probably time to leave.. wait for this crazy chick to move on before coming back in.

"No no, you want it, so go ahead and take it." Maritza groused. She picked herself up fully, standing with a curl to her lip before turning away. She was done with the firebox, and that idiotic geian. "I'm moving on to better finds."

There was still so much left in the day, and she wanted to at least pretend that she'd done something worthwhile with it. Maybe if she were lucky she could find some old bolt or a half-decent wrench. In all honesty her frustrations would probably prevent her from finding anything, but that didn't mean she had to stick around here. So, with that in mind, Maritza meandered off to her own section of the junkyard.

Waiting until the stranger left, Yokka let out a long breath of relief. She turned her attention to the barren container and debated for a few minutes before picking it up. Well, it might not work at all, but surely she could figure a tiny something out from this engine exoskeleton.
