The Flower unfurled herself
Alone on the small mossy bank.
With petals of cream and a star for a heart.
She tilted her face to the late sunlight.
The day grew softer and the shadows lengthened
As night stole the light from the sky
Silent as rainfall and gentle as a feather
The moss began to grow
And enveloped the flower ever so carefully
Like a star-crossed lovers arms
And whispered to the flower so sweetly
That love was the cure for us all.
