She'd always been a bit of a whirlwind in among her troupe -- she loved the stage, she loved the praise and attention, dancing for her audiences, and the pride in her parent's eyes. She didn't mind the looks of envy or jealousy she sometimes got, either, and often took it as her due.

Yes, she was vain, and proud, and perhaps more than a little full of herself -- most of the time.

But right now, she did not feel herself.

She woke in the mornings feeling woozy, and the mere sight some of the foods that she'd loved, even as a filly, now made her want to wretch in disgust.

Part of her thinks perhaps she's just ill, she'll get over it soon, certainly -- and though some of her extended family have shown some concern at her lack of spirit and energy lately, she's waved them off.

Now she wanders away from the hub of her home, for some fresh air, and some time away from the prying, curious, eyes of the others. She thinks of the buck she'd met not so long ago...

It was only that one time, though, she thinks. Surely, not...?

The Killing Moon hadn’t wanted to venture into the tribe just yet. He didn’t mind the boisterous group, they’d combined their talents with his own family on more than one occasion, a winning combination of food and performance, but he wasn’t quite in the mood to deal with their prying questions. He was honestly surprised he’d even been drawn here. Rouge usually took care of all of their many blessing needs but perhaps she was off on a hunting trip.

Either way, he was here and she was not and the doe he was after had finally wandered away from the others. He ambled towards her at an easy pace, in no particular rush, his mere presence a big affirmation to the thoughts she had been dwelling. When a doe who was thinking ‘maybe’ saw a Legendary heading her way, there could really be no doubt.

As Cinder let her thoughts wander, she finally settled down on a relatively soft patch of grass, nibbling at a few dandelions nearby that she'd suddenly had a craving for.

The sound of movement nearby catches her attention, though, and she feels a vague sense of annoyance, thinking one of her siblings must have followed her -- and is just about to snap at them to leave her be when she sees the stag approaching her (who certainly is not related to her).

"Ahh..." Her annoyance dies away into curiosity, and a bit of confusion. There's something niggling at her, at the back of her brain, and she does her best to swat it away, but it persists like the buzz of a mosquito.

She thinks of the handsome buck she'd met not so long ago, and grimaces a little, though she can't seem to look away from the stag in front of her.

The buzzing in her brain becomes louder, and her heart jumps a little as her mouth goes dry, along with her craving for dandelions.

"I suppose.... you're not just here to look for directions, are you?" She asks, almost hopefully.

“No,” he answered, coming to a halt before her. He looked down at her resting form, not yet showing signs of pregnancy but a body very hard at work already forming new lives. “Though I would not worry too much,” he added, as if sensing her disquiet. “Your family and tribe will support you.” The Acha who called the troupe their home were well known for being free with their time and there were always young mouths to feed.

“Your children will be full of joy and grace, humble and supportive of others,” The Killing Moon blessed, casual and without asking for her opinion. Some humility would do the tribe well.

Yay thanks for the blessing! biggrin

"Oh..." Cinder seemed a little surprised, but maybe not as much as another might have been. After all, it wouldn't be her first time coming across a legendary with Rouge among their number. Even so, the confirmation of her pregnancy is... strange. There's a flutter of excitement mixed in with the nerves.

"Thank you," she manages, finally, and gives him a slight smile. Not the full, blinding, smile of the stage, but something smaller, and more private -- something genuine.

She still felt nervous, of course -- any new mother would be -- but the stag was right. Her troupe would support her, and her children. As nosy as some of them could be, she knew they cared.
