Yesterday sure was a total mess of emotions. Truthfully, it wasn't the fact that he wore a strange suit he's not used to having, or the fact that Nanashi would be looked at heavily by guards, but mostly about his self esteem being completely shot down over something positive. Nanashi still remembered the fun he had when he danced with her, and in truth, Nanashi never smiled like that with anyone before. He genuinely felt happy for the first time. As morning cane around, Nanashi would then wake up to the morning light of the sun and by the sounds of someone in his room shifting about, along with... Feathery flaps? Huh? Nanashi would then draw his kunai's he kept in his room as he would open the door to his bedroom to find a tall male with a white bird at his side. Eh!? When the hell did... Nanashi would stop to realize he had been given a room mate. He would remember not being in his dorm as much, which added to the explanation as to how he didn't know. Wow... Okay... Nanashi would say, as he returned to his room to put on some clothes. It must have been embarrassing to come out in underwear to a stranger he’d just meet. Better than dealing with the awkward moment, Nanashi had changed to his usual Shozoku clothes, and would leap out the window over going through the front door. At least he wouldn't have dealt with that. ((Exits to town streets))

"Morning!" Branwen cawed cheerfully as she lifted herself from the rafters and swooped down onto the mattress where Rick lay half covered by his blankets. "Sun Up!" she landed with enough of a force to bounce once before hopping over to where the male had curled up with a pillow held close to his chest. "Quick-Quick! Music!" The White Raven had enough perception to be aware his class was that of an Elective Day - and after a few minutes of just observing her friend, she would lean forward and land a somewhat 'light' peck upon his ear.

Rick would awaken with a groan, his tired eyes fluttering open as he lifted a hand to his throbbing earlobe before lightly pushing the bird away. "No..." His dreams had been full of visions, he had been walking through what he felt was Eoana's Marketplace, surrounded by people who were there, but weren't physically...just grey shades, moving from place to place, stall to stall. He had made his way around without a soul noticing him, then he had stopped.

It was a little unnerving to see people he recognised walking amongst the crowds - students he passed by daily, often enough for him to recognise them by face, yet not by name... What scared him however were the faces of those he Did recognise...

"Gonna be late." Branwen cawed, taking a moment to preen her feathers before hopping out of the way as Rick rolled over, lifting his eyes to the ceiling before looking out of the window. The sky looked overcast - no doubt a chance of rain...

He felt a little better than he had in Diviner Class the day before - perhaps whatever it had been was wearing off? Letting out a yawn, he pushed himself to his feet, making his way across the room for a shirt before feeling the sudden weight of gravity hit him. That wasn't good.

Shutting his eyes for a moment he reached out for the wall to steady himself, drawing a sharp breath as upon reopening them, he saw spirits - not just one or two, but many of them...all dotted around the room, all muttering to themselves yet with their gaze transfixed on him. "Get out!" he placed his back against the wall, staring as they just stood there... "This room is my sanctuary, you cannot be here without...my..." lifting a hand to his head he slid down, sitting somewhat slumped as the room felt as though it were spinning. "What on Eoana is...going on...?"

"What see?" Branwen tilted her head, seeing nothing of what the Diviner was trying to cast out - normally she would see spirits long before him, but to her, he was speaking to nothing, "Faeries?"

Drawing his knees up to his chest, Rick would hug them tight and rest his forehead upon his arms, he could hear Branwen muttering something, but her voice was almost lost amongst the muttering that seemed to fill the room.

Nanashi basically was knocked out tired after what happened the whole day yesterday. That essay was the worse and he really didn’t do much of anything there. In reality, he felt as if he didn’t need to. He already knew about what his powers are used for. Yet he used them for the wrong reason. Being really tired, Nanashi slept through the whole night not even having dreams. It was at the morning when he woke up is when he finally heard the noise. The bird Branwen he had gotten used to, but Patrick was somewhat a strange case, with his ability to talk to ge dead and see supernatural entities. But at that moment of his shouting at something caused Nanashi to abruptly wake up sword in hand running outside. Wh-what happened?! Patrick?! Nanashi asked, ready to swing at anything. Seeing Patrick on the floor and Branwen looking at him worried, Nanashi tilted his head. He really needs to get used to that. Patrick. You there? It’s me Nanashi. There’s nobody here but us. Nanashi said to him, reassuring him.

"What?" Branwen would turn to face the male as Nanashi rushed in with sword drawn, with a cry of alarm she would jump up momentarily, her white feathers flapping with some shock before hearing the concern in Nanashi's voice...as she watched him standing there, head tilted, she would settle, landing back on the ground beside where Patrick sat before looking back at Nanashi, "Seeing Things. Not There." she had little to no idea that their little excursion the day before might just have been a factor in his current state, but then again Rick had experienced strange moments in the past, yet none such as this,

Hearing the male's reassuring words through the fog of whispers, Rick would lift his gaze, focusing blearily on a figure dressed in green... He liked green, it reminded him of the rolling fields back home... "You can't see...but there's...so many, all talking..." Why were they here? He couldn't understand, what did they want? He couldn't help them all... Rick would never have allowed so many in for fear he'd have to spend days locked away trying to drive them all out again...but Nanashi said there was nobody there... How could that be? They were surrounded...

"Nobody There." Branwen chimed in, agreeing with Nanashi - having been so close to death in her early life, Branwen was able to see spirits easily, but at that moment, she could see nobody except for Rick and his roommate.

"...I need to get out of here." Spirits or not, the room felt too crowded, his mind full of their whispering murmurs... He needed to get out of the room, to clear his mind if he could...and if push came to shove, perhaps talk it out with one of the Medical staff in the Infirmary - Not that he'd really want to waste their time with his 'problems'... "Can you...help me up?" He would hold up an arm, hoping Nanashi would lend him a hand.

Patrick wasn't sure how far he'd be able to walk before needing to sit down again - he was definitely regretting even considering getting out of bed that morning, but as an early riser, it can't have been helped...

Seeing the way Patrick was acting seemed a bit unnatural. It was almost as if this wasn’t his own raiment at work currently. Or maybe it was but just completely different to which even Patrick himself doesn’t know about. When he said that they were surrounded, Nanashi glances at his back and realized that there was virtually nothing there behind him. Honestly, it somewhat freaked out Nanashi inside, but he knew he had to keep strong. Even Branwen looked a bit scared. When he said he needed to leave and asked for help, Nanashi sheathed his blade before grabbing Patrick’s wrist to bring him up. Sure thing. How about we go to the infirmary? Hopefully we can get you fixed up. Nanashi would say to him, as he took hold of him. It even made Nanashi wonder if they can even make it with this episode of his fear to whatever he was currently looking at. Yet it was as they were ready to go, Nanashi would look back at the room to see it empty. But something really did feel odd to him. ((Exits to infirmary))

Rick took a moment to steady himself as Nanashi helped him to his feet; his head was bowed and the Diviner kept his gaze low, trying to convince himself he wasn't seeing the masses that were to him, clearly scattered about the room, just watching...murmuring... "I wouldn't want to trouble them...I don't even know if...they can help me," Patrick shook his head, but knew Nanashi was right, "...But I guess it wouldn't...hurt." he frowned, lifting his eyes slightly and tensing as with their movement, the figures also seemed to advance.

Rick attempted to lead the way to the door, not wanting Nanashi to take all the strain for him, but feeling some haste in needing to leave - perhaps if they closed the door behind them, the shades wouldn't follow...? "Bran," he would cast a brief glance towards the Raven who lifted into the air and flew on ahead as they opened the door into the hallway, closing it behind them once they were outside.

"Scout ahead." Having seen nothing of what Rick had seen, the White Raven was concerned for her friend, but knew it was best to fly on ahead of them, finding occasional perching spots along the corridor to watch and wait for the pair to catch up - all the while calling out the occasional words of encouragement.

At first, Rick had hoped the shades would remain in the room...but as the pair stepped out into the hallway, making their way in the direction of the Infirmary, it seemed as though there were more - all turning to face them as they walked, muttering quietly as the pair passed them by... "Why are they here...?" Patrick couldn't understand and tried to keep his gaze low and his thoughts to himself as they walked, "What do they want...? And why can't anyone else see them?" Many were faces he didn't recognise, but occasionally one or two caught his eye and he paused, initially to catch his breath, whilst straightening up for a second as though to stare them in the eye before continuing on.

"Catch Up." Bran would perch a few strides away and call back to them, watching the pair as they moved towards her. "Almost There."

It took Rick more than just a few minutes to settle down that night... The fact the room was Still full of more than just the three that should be residing there was one thing - what made it worse was that they were all just...staring at him. Eventually he would roll onto his side, dragging his covers over his head in an attempt to block them out - At least they weren't talking anymore...

Having worn the same clothing for almost three days in a row, Rick would take his time changing that morning - it was a free day and with rays of warm spring sunlight beaming down in patches through the window... There was cloud, but not enough to threaten rain or anything other than something pleasant.

Pushing himself to his feet, Rick would use the wall to guide his way to the fireplace where he would warm some water before mixing in the ginger that Merek had given him the day before. Once it was cool enough to drink without burning his tongue, Rick would turn, leaning against the wall and looking out across the room...

It was quite surprising to see the dorm as it would normally be on such a fine morning... Having been so wired the night before, he was almost certain the spirits would have doubled - or even tripled! But as he cast a glance around the room, he was quite surprised to see nothing, well, except for Branwen of course. His Roommate slept in another part of the room, so it was difficult to know if the male was present, but Patrick would breath a sigh of relief either way.

"...Morning?" Branwen had been half asleep, yet her beady eyes watched the male as he made his way carefully over to the window to peer out, "Is Rick alone?" she would tilt her head, still a little concerned for the male,

"Yes, we are Bran, Thank you." nodding, yet still using a hand to steady himself, Patrick would smile, taking another sip of the ginger-tea as he allowed himself to carefully slid down against the wall as he watched the world go by below them.

It would seem as though his roommate had taken off quite early that day, but Rick didn't mind, still feeling quite drained - even though the spirits seemed to have left, he felt a moment in peace and quiet was the best plan.

He remained sitting in the window for most of the day, dozing on and off before finding himself a book to read. Branwen kept herself amused for so long before deciding she'd rather go out than spend the day inside, so after Rick let her out of the window, she would spend the day soaring around Eoana, trying to keep out of mischief as best she could before returning back as the day started to turn dark.

She would find her way back through the window, discovering Rick fast asleep with a blanket draped lightly across his chest and the book he had been reading upside down on the bed beside him.

It was tempting to disturb him, but feeling a little tired herself, Bran would flutter up to her usual perch, leaving the male to doze by the window. He was only inches from his bed itself anyway so if he did wake up, he could just flop over and curl up.

Puffing herself up, the Whiter Raven would cast a final glance towards her companion before shutting her eyes and drifting off to sleep.

Rick had spent the evening by himself in his little section of the dorm room - in memory and gratitude for his Grandmother making her appearance for him, Patrick had lit her a candle and placed it in the window before picking up his violin. She had always enjoyed listening to him play and it felt like the perfect send off for her in thanks for her time.

Branwen had perched in her usual spot in the rafters, preening herself quietly before ruffling up her feathers in preparation to roost. The White Raven also enjoyed listening to her companion practice - music often soothed the savage beast and although she was far from savage, it certainly calmed her spirits.

Images flowed in the Diviners mind as he stepped and turned, his eyes closing as he allowed the notes to drift about the room; he pictured nobles drifting about the space around him, dressed in their very best as they swayed this way and that as though traversing a grand ballroom in time to the tune. He of course would play only up until just after midnight - the Witching Hour when the day became anew - then, setting his violin back in its case, the Diviner would extinguish the candle, saying a small prayer for those who might just have come to listen before settling himself down to sleep.

-New Day-

As the new day began, Branwen would be the first to rise, stretching her wings out as the warming sunlight found its way up into the rafters before travelling down the walls as the sun climbed its way into the sky.

Shaking off the sleep, the White Raven would glide down, landing upon the mattress where her companion lay bundled within his sheets. She had no idea what humans dreamt about, but he looked as though his dreams had been pleasant, perhaps filled with good memories...?

Still, the sun was up and she wanted to go out. And in order for that to happen...someone had to get up. "Rise and Shine!" Hopping up close to his ear, the Raven would give a loud 'Crarck' before fluttering backwards as the Diviner raised his hand to push her away, "Beautiful Day!" she bellowed again, leaning in to peck at the tip of his ear before taking flight as the male gave a yelp and rolled over.

"Damn it bird..." cursing lightly, Rick would rub his throbbing ear before glaring up at the Raven who had settled nearby, "Must you do that every time?"

"It won't learn." Branwen mused, watching as the male rose - clad only in his underwear - before making his way to the window, "Every Time."

"I suppose you want to go out?" pushing open the window, Rick had barely even needed to ask before Branwen sailed past his face, her wing-tips brushing past his ear as she agilely slipped through the gap. "Guess I'll meet you outside then...?" He would watch as she wheeled in the sky before turning away to get himself dressed.

It had certainly proven to be a Lot warmer inside than it was out in the cold and although the skies had been clear that morning when the Diviner had found his way outside so Branwen could stretch her wings, there was little in the way of keeping him outside and so Patrick picked up a few necessities before returning to his Dorm Room.

Of course, there was very little that he could do there either, sure he could try and come up with some form of lesson plan for Calliope and himself when the next Elective Day rolled round, but following the way the previous lesson turned out, the Diviner had to wonder if there might be a lesson at all...?

Branwen had already settled herself up in the rafters, fluffing up her feathers so she had some form of insulation against the cold, but what was there for him to do? Breathing a sigh, Patrick would cross the room to the one item that always helped him pass the time, releasing it from its case before running his hands tenderly across its surface before picking up his bow.

Although it was still cold, the Diviner would push open the window - this would allow whatever music he chose to play to flow down into the courtyard and surrounding buildings and perhaps inspire anyone else who happened to be outside in the snow to pause and listen.

Flexing his fingers, Patrick would ensure the violin was in tune before bringing the bow across its strings ever so slowly, closing his eyes as he listened to the notes played before starting to formulate them into a Song.

His mood that day was one that was not exactly sad - for he had little to feel sad about - but perhaps it was one similar to that of loneliness? With the winters often cutting off most of the surrounding areas, he knew his family would be far across the other side of Valor by now and many days of travel away with even Branwen's swift wings - and he wasn't prepared to let her travel out alone... He didn't need to admit that he missed them, even the rough-play with his cousins and the long nights under the stars with the rest of his Kin, but here, he felt quite alone...

As usual, there was no limit to the length of time he played, occasionally the tunes would vary slightly, but for the moment, with little in the way of a distraction, he would continue to play slow, lonesome songs until he felt the need to stop or a distraction presented itself...

If there were ever a place the Diviner felt he could truly escape his thoughts, it was in his dreams...

In this dream, Patrick was in a forest - it didn't matter where exactly for he could hear the familiar sounds of his Family as they went about their daily duties back at camp... The sun glistened through the lush green leaves of the trees above, casting fluttering shadows across the ground with each gentle motion from the breeze... At first glance from another's eyes, it may have seemed he was alone - Branwen of course remained close by, flitting from branch to branch as the male made his way along the trail, but the Diviner was far from alone, for around him the Forest was alive!

Fae Folk danced amongst the boughs, floating between the bushes whilst creatures naturally wary of humans watched curiously from the undergrowth... Although he knew that seldom few could see what he could, Patrick felt it best not to draw too much attention to them - just incase - Instead, he would just smile, enjoying their company as he entered a copse where initially shadows retreated out of sight before slowly creeping back to watch as the male took a seat against the trunk of one of the trees.

Leaning his head back against the bark and closing his eyes, Patrick would breathe a sigh, listening contentedly as the little-folk played amongst themselves before glancing down as one of the tiny creatures tugged at his sleeve, demanding his attention.

"Time to go." Branwen's voice lifted his gaze and the Diviner tilted his head curiously, why would he need to go? He was surrounded by friends vying for his attention, his Family weren't so far away either and he knew he could return to camp come nightfall and enjoy his Grandfa's stories by the fire...

"Hurry Up!" He could picture the White Raven glaring down at him from the branches above, but couldn't fathom why she was so determined for him to leave...

Eventually, a sharp peck to the left ear dragged the male back to reality and he opened his eyes, lifting a hand to the throbbing lobe before letting out a groan and sitting up as the Corvid hopped over to the window and glared back at him. "Time to Go!"

Lifting a hand to rub the sleep from his eyes, the Diviner would breathe another sigh - not necessarily because Branwen was so terribly inconsiderate when it came to letting people sleep, but perhaps moreso that he'd been dragged back to what had recently become quite the solitary existence...

Rising to his feet, Patrick would turn, opening the window before leaning his forehead against the frame and watching as the White Raven scrambled out through the gap before disappearing out of sight... The chilly air prickled the skin of his bare torso and he shrugged off a shiver before pushing himself away.

Branwen would make her return as and when she felt fit, but whilst she was out, the Diviner would take his time dressing before making his way towards the door. He hadn't gone very far outside the building the day before, but with nothing tying him to the Academy that day, he felt it worth getting out and seeing where the day took him...

There was rarely ever a day when the young Diviner wasn't awoken in some horrid way by his rather impatient, Corvid Companion... She'd become quite fond of pecking at his earlobe as of late - it didn't really matter which one - as with it being somewhere that when stabbed by a rather sharp beak at who knows what hour in the morning often proved to be painful enough to earn a reaction...

This morning thankfully, the curtains had been the chosen target - Although Patrick liked to sit up at night and watch the world pass by his window, he would often draw said curtains closed when settling down to sleep to save anything - or anyone - staring in at him... The night before had been no different and as the sun had started to rise to mark the new day, Branwen would sail down from her perch in the rafters, hopping about on top of the covers of Patrick's bed before realising he'd taken to covering her usual target with his pillows and so a new method of waking the male was needed...

She was almost light enough to go unnoticed as she hopped up onto his side and then down onto the sill where the curtains were carefully tied together to keep out the light... "Hmm..." Mimicking the sound of a human in thought, Branwen would peck at the little knot, catching the string in her beak before tugging at it... The initial stream of light that illuminated the room was but a flicker but the more she pulled, eventually the tie would weaken enough to allow the curtains to be moved.

With little more than a muffled breath from beneath the sheets, the White Raven would cast a glance back at her companion before catching hold of the base of one of said drapes and pulling...hopping backwards as she drew the curtain back just enough to let in a strong beam of sunlight which fell across the male as he slept...

The Sun was warm this morning and she took a moment to bathe in its light before turning, hoping she'd awoken the male...but still he slept on... "Things to do." She cawed noisily, facing the Diviner's sleeping form and hoping her voice alone would wake him, "Gotta go out." As she stood there, Branwen's beady eyes glanced around, searching for a weak point in the furs and blankets that shielded the male from her ever-so-pointy beak... He was well covered...

She wasted little time in taking to the second curtain, yanking this one open as best she could for her size before glancing back once more as Patrick continued to sleep... Breathing another sigh, the Raven would glance once more around the room before taking off and flying towards the male's belongings... Maybe she could find something light enough, yet heavy enough to drop upon the male and wake him that way...?

It wouldn't take long for the light illuminating the room to finally stir the Diviner from his sleep, but he wouldn't wake to the sound of quiet surroundings...rather, he would roll over to hear the sound of something rifling through his belongings... Sitting up so he rested back on his elbows, Patrick would run a hand through his hair, stretching quietly before sitting up further and watching as the White Raven proceeded to push her nosy beak into his backpack...

Without a word, the male would promptly roll his eyes, balling up one of his blankets before launching it towards his avian companion who had almost disappeared inside said backpack...

The noise she made when the world suddenly went 'black' wasn't necessarily an 'Eeek' but as she attempted to free herself from both the bag and the somewhat weighty blanket which had covered her completely, Patrick would rise, opening the window and taking a moment to get dressed before crossing the room to gather up what the Corvid had strewn about.

"I'll see you outside, Silly Bird." It was nice to get some payback for once in a while - especially after the stunt she'd pulled the day before - but Patrick knew it wouldn't take long for Branwen to free herself - then she'd be outside in a heartbeat ready to antagonise him for his actions...

There was no doubting that the Raven - or something that resembled a Raven had been trailing him from a distance as he'd made his way back towards the Academy... Although she'd been smart enough to remain somewhat out of sight, Patrick wasn't a fool... How Branwen had gotten into such a state was beyond him, but in a way, she kinda deserved it.

He knew that wasn't the right way to think about it - she'd been his companion for years now and excluding their latest fall out the day before, Branwen had been there for him through thick and thin after his Grandmother had passed all those years beforehand.

Making his way inside the building, Patrick would head straight up to his dorm room - taking his time as there seemed to be no immediate need to rush. When he arrived, the Diviner would pull off his backpack and set it beside his desk - atop which he would also place the bag of rolled oats which he'd carried the entire way incase he'd met his feathered friend... With the weather still quite warm, he would then a moment to open the window - albeit a little narrower than usual before heading back to his desk and sitting down.

Having managed to resist the urge to eat any of the Krampcof? No...that hadn't been it... The curious dough-shaped treats that he'd carried so carefully in his bag, Patrick now removed the packet and carefully tore it open, the smell - although cooled by now - filled the room and as he reached for one of the dough-balls, his hand faltered as the sound of something trying to get through the narrow gap of the window drew his attention away...

Perhaps he rolled his eyes - there was the temptation to ignore the sound completely, but at the end of the day, maybe she'd suffered enough? Besides that, she was making the window dirty with each attempt... Breathing a sigh, the Diviner would make his way over to the window, watching through narrowed eyes as the Not-so-white Raven peered up at him from the windowsill outside...

After a moment of silence, Patrick opened the window before turning back towards the desk where he'd left his special treat lying unattended. Branwen seemed to hesitate for a moment before jumping up onto the window frame, perching there a little while longer to watch as the Diviner consumed one of the Krapfen before putting them away somewhere safely out of the Raven's eye. Only once he was done and had moved towards the bathroom to shower would she sail over, taking note of the rolled oats he'd left for her before glancing over her shoulder to where the male had disappeared...

After filling her crop with some of the rolled oats, Branwen would glide from the desk towards the bathroom, hopping across the floor before flying up to a shelf where she would perch just within reach of the spray from the water... Patrick seemed to pay her no heed as she started to tend to her filthy feathers, but was kind enough to leave the shower running just a little longer after leaving to dry himself off...

It seemed that although he'd let her inside and allowed her to make use of the shower, the Diviner appeared to want very little to do with her... This made the Raven feel a little sad, but once she was dry and full - having gone back for a second round of oats, she would sit and watch from her usual perch as Patrick took up his Violin to practice...

He would play until the sun had set, then, lighting a candle, would see himself to bed, taking up a book to read as he set the flickering light safely in the window. Only once he was settled would the now White Raven chance an advance, gliding over from her perch to land at the foot of the Diviner's bed... Patrick didn't seem to notice her at first - or perhaps he was still ignoring her? She hopped ever closer, pausing occasionally to look up at the male before finally exhaling a sigh before chancing a hop onto his arm.

Without even flinching, Patrick would continue reading, seeming quite ignorant of her presence as the bird cautiously clambered up his sleeve before coming to rest on his shoulder... Eventually, as he started to grow tired, the Diviner would set down his book and blow out the candle, watching as the Raven found her way back to her perch before rolling over to sleep.

Branwen would watch as the male drifted off before fluffing up her feathers...It felt as though she'd made her peace with the male, but time would only tell and so the pair would settle for the night, ready to see what the next morning brought with the rising sun...
