General Information

Yes this guild uses a very mild stat system. This system is less for RP and more for clarity, making it so that two people who have a similar "strength" wont just be a vague idea of who's stronger. With this we will have hard numbers to truly back up peoples claims. This system itself is split into two separate stat panels. The first being "character stats" and the second being "raiment stats". However this does not mean you can't win in a battle with lower stats. We the crew will base it mostly off of RP skill during the duel.

The Physical Stats

For "physical stats" everyone will be given 15 points to distribute between all the possible stat attributes to start with. The maximum amount of points you can put into any single stat is 9.

Strength: How much physical strength your character has.
Endurance: How much stamina your character has or how long they can continue fighting.
Agility: How agile or quick your character can move.
Intelligence: How smart or quick witted your character is.
Charisma: How good your character is at social situations, reading the room or even making friends.
Technique: How good your character is with their respective fighting style or skill that ISN'T a raiment.

For information on how characters can increase their physical stats, see the Class Progression info page.

The Raiment Stats

Unlike physical stats, these stats are not completely up to the owner to choose. To determine these stats you will roll 5 D6 dice - one for each type of stat. Depending on what dice you get you can distribute them to which ever stat you'd like. These will be your character's base stats.

After determining your base stats, you will then also gain additional points based on what kind of character you make. The amount of additional points granted to you will be based on what kind of character you make, for example whether your character is a student, teacher, or other position as listed further below. You can freely place these additional points into any stat of your choice.

For "raiment stats", you can freely place your base stat die rolls into the follow raiment stats, after you receive any additional points from your character type, the maximum amount of points you can put into any single stat is 9.

Power: How much raw power your raiment has or can produce.
Control: How much control you have over your raiment.
Speed: How quickly your raiment can move from point A to point B.
Range: How far your raiment can go or the amount of AOE ability it has.
Technique: How skilled you are in using your raiment and pushing it to it's limits.

Classifications

Your character's classification, or "class rank", will be decided based on the TOTAL number of raiment points you are granted after all of your raiment stat calculations. The number of raiment points you gain differ based on what kind of character you are making, for example a student or a teacher, or other position as listed further below. Once you know what your starting max raiment points are for your character, you can compare them to the following table to learn your character's class rank classification.

The classifications are listed from the highest ranks to the lowest ranks as follows.

S-Class is 29+ points You've basically reached a status like that of a genius, or prodigy... or you have the work ethic of a god.
A-Class is 22-28 points You're extremely talented, and you've put in a ton of work and no one would look down on you for that.
B-Class is 15-21 points In the middle ground and still working to better yourself, you aren't quite the most talented in the world just yet, but you aren't horrible either.
C-Class is 8-14 points You're a diamond in the rough. Most people are better than you but that could easily change with some hard work.
D-Class is anything bellow 8 points You're at the bottom of the food chain. But the good news is...you can't get any lower, so the only way forward is up!

Character Types

There are several character types that you could build for this roleplay such as students, civilians, teachers, jobs or professions such as Court Mages, or Officials, and lesser positions that are considered lesser civilian, such as Coming of Age. The most common and freely available character types is "Student" and "Civilian". Students are the most commonplace and are fairly self explanatory. Civilians are simply citizens of the world who are not currently enrolled with the academy. Any character that leaves the enrollment of the Academy can become a Civilian. However, If anyone makes a character that is civilian, whether as a start or from leaving the Academy, they must enroll or re-enroll into the Academy if they wish to further their stats and or class rank. They can do this freely, and without reservation as they would become a "Student" accordingly when they do so.

"Teacher", "Official", and "Court Mage" positions are limited and will be accepted in a first come first serve basis. Teachers are fairly self-explanatory and are affiliated directly with the Academy. Officials and Court Mages are superior official positions both within and outside of the Academy, Like Civilians, a character can apply to and become an Official or Court Mage after graduating from the Academy if they hold the proper Qualifications. Once all of these positions are filled, characters that have reached the required qualifications to become a Teacher, Official, or Court Mage can apply to do so if and when positions open up in the future.

Finally the last type is "Coming of Age". This character type represents all characters that are citizens in the world, but have not yet reached the consent age of 15. These are normally the children, and adolescents of the world that will soon be coming of age. Once they reach the age of 15, they become a civilian and can apply to enroll in the Academy to become a student.

The character types are listed below, more types may be added as the roleplay grows.

Students and Civilians

Whether you choose to play as a student from the start, or as a civilian in the world. Both character types gain the general expertise of growing up and learning about your raiment through self discovery. After rolling up your base raiment stats, you gain 3 additional raiment stat points when you first start out as a student or a civilian, which you can put into any stat of your choice. You then determine your character's class rank by adding up the TOTAL number of raiment points you have gained from your dice rolls + these 3 additional points.

The subtle difference between a student and civilian is simple. A student of the Academy is any character that has applied to and is currently enrolled in the school. A civilian is any character who is of age, but is not currently or has never been enrolled in the Academy. The biggest difference between the two, is that while a character is an active civilian, or rather, not enrolled in the Academy, said character is not able to develop and progress their physical stats, raiment stats, or class rank. However this is not necessarily a drawback, as any civilian can enroll to the Academy within the new school year, and become a student. The opposite is also true, any student or graduate can become or return to being a civilian once they leave the Academy. In this way, any student or graduate that leaves the academy retains all of their acquired stats that they earned while enrolled.

Quote:

Example

This is a simple example of a student or civilian build. First you roll the dice rolls that would be used for stats, you roll 5 D6. Or for those less knowledgeable about dice words, roll 5 six sided dice. You roll these dice by rolling your dice as part of the post action on a reply within your profile thread.

Lets say you rolled 2, 6, 2, 2, and 3 Total: 15.

Now you get to distribute your rolls between your raiment stat abilities. You can place whatever roll you want into any raiment stat of your choosing, like so:

Power: 6
Control: 3
Speed: 2
Range: 2
Technique: 2

Now that you have your base stats set, you can add your additional 3 extra points that you get as a student or civilian. You can freely add these points to whatever stat you like to a max of 9 points, like so:

Power: 6
Control: 3
Speed: 4 (2+2=4)
Range: 2
Technique: 3 (2+1=3)

Now you can calculate your class rank with your current starting stats. So with the +3 extra points, the total for this character would be 18, so you check your total of 18 to the classification table in the post above.

B-Class is 15-21 points You're the middle ground. This is where most people land in life. They aren't the most talented in the world, but they aren't horrible at it either.

So your class rank is B-Class with a total of 18 points.

Knit Class Teachers and Court Mages

If you are approved to take on the role of either a main Knit Class Teacher, or that of a Court Mage, then your character must be of S-Class rank right from the start in order to qualify for teaching a Knit based class or taking said Court Mage position. Therefore, after rolling up your base raiment stats using the 5 D6 dice as listed above, you will roll a D4 on the following table to determine what your MAX number of raiment stat points are as an S-Class character.

- If you roll a 1, your max raiment stat points is 29
- If you roll a 2, your max raiment stat points is 30
- If you roll a 3, your max raiment stat points is 31
- If you roll a 4, your max raiment stat points is 32

After determining what your maximum starting raiment stats is, you can add points to your base set of raiment stats as you see fit until you reach your max raiment stat point total.

Once your raiment stats have been determined, you can determine any progress your character may have made to their physical stat when they were improving to become an S-Class character. You roll a D4, and your maximum physical stats increase by the number that you rolled. You can add these additional stat points to any physical stats of your choosing.

These are your starting stats as an S-Class Knit Teacher or Court Mage.

Quote:
Example

This is a simple example of an S-Class Knit Teacher or Court Mage build. First you roll the dice rolls that would be used for stats, you roll 5 D6. Or for those less knowledgeable about dice words, roll 5 six sided dice. You roll these dice by rolling your dice as part of the post action on a reply within your profile thread.

Lets say you rolled 4, 3, 6, 2, and 4 Total: 19.

Now you get to distribute your rolls between your raiment stat abilities. You can place whatever roll you want into any raiment stat of your choosing, like so:

Power: 4
Control: 6
Speed: 3
Range: 2
Technique: 4

Now that you have your base stats set, its time to roll a D4 on the MAX raiment stat points table above.

Lets say you rolled a 2.

Compare the roll to the table above and we get a raiment stat point maximum of 30. This would mean that you have gained 11 additional raiment stat points because you have a maximum of 30, and your dice rolls gave you a total of 19. 30 - 19 is 11. Now you can freely add these points to whatever stat you like to a max of 9 points, like so:

Power: 5 (4+1=5)
Control: 9 (6+3=9)
Speed: 5 (3+2=5)
Range: 2
Technique: 9 (4+5=9)

Now you can calculate your class rank with your current starting stats. In our case, we already know that you are building an S-Class character with 30 points, so you get...

S-Class is 29+ points You're basically a genius, a prodigy of prodigies..or you have the work ethic of a god.

Your last step is increase your physical stats, this represents the growth your character endured through physical training or acquired academic knowledge. You roll a D4, and add this number to your number of max physical stat points.

Lets say you rolled a 3.

You can now add 3 to your maximum physical stat points, which gives you a maximum of 18 points. You can freely appoint these additional points to any physical stat of your choosing, to a maximum of 9 points.

And you are now an S-Class with a total of 30 raiment points, and 18 physical points

Elective Class Teachers and Officials

If you are approved to take on the role of either an Elective Class Teacher, or that of an Official, then your character must be of A-Class rank or higher right from the start in order to qualify for either position. Therefore, after rolling up your base raiment stats using the 5 D6 dice as listed above, you will roll an additional D6 on the following table to determine what your MAX number of raiment stat points are as an either an A-Class character, or if your lucky an S-Class character.

- If you roll a 1, your max raiment stat points is 25
- If you roll a 2, your max raiment stat points is 26
- If you roll a 3, your max raiment stat points is 27
- If you roll a 4, your max raiment stat points is 28
- If you roll a 5, your max raiment stat points is 29
- If you roll a 6, your max raiment stat points is 30

After determining what your maximum starting raiment stats are, you can add points to your base set of raiment stats as you see fit until you reach your max raiment stat point total. Then make the determination of whatever you are A-Class or S-Class.

That last step is very important, for once your raiment stats and class rank have been determined, you can determine any progress your character may have made to their physical stat when they were improving on their journey to become S-Class to this point. Your class rank determines how much your physical stats may increase by. You roll a D4, and if your class rank is S-Class, then your maximum physical stats increase by the number that you rolled. If your class rank is A-Rank, then your maximum physical stats is increased by 1 point if your roll is an odd number, or 2 points if your roll is an even number. You can add these additional stat points to any physical stats of your choosing.

These are your starting stats as an A-Class or S-Class Elective Class Teacher or Official.

Quote:
Example

This is a simple example of an A-Class+ Elective Teacher or Official build. First you roll the dice rolls that would be used for stats, you roll 5 D6. Or for those less knowledgeable about dice words, roll 5 six sided dice. You roll these dice by rolling your dice as part of the post action on a reply within your profile thread.

Lets say you rolled 1, 6, 6, 5, and 3 Total: 21.

Now you get to distribute your rolls between your raiment stat abilities. You can place whatever roll you want into any raiment stat of your choosing, like so:

Power: 3
Control: 5
Speed: 6
Range: 6
Technique: 1

Now that you have your base stats set, its time to roll a D6 on the MAX raiment stat points table above.

Lets say you rolled a 3.

Compare the roll to the table above and we get a raiment stat point maximum of 27. This would mean that you have gained 6 additional raiment stat points because you have a maximum of 27, and your dice rolls gave you a total of 21. 27 - 21 is 6. Now you can freely add these points to whatever stat you like to a max of 9 points, like so:

Power: 3
Control: 6 (5+1=6)
Speed: 9 (6+3=9)
Range: 6
Technique: 3 (1+2=3)

Now you can calculate your class rank with your current starting stats. In our case, we already know that you are building an A-Class character with 27 points, so you get...

A-Class is 22-28 points You're extremely talented, some even call you a prodigy. Or you've put in a ton of work and no one would look down on you for that.

Your last step is to increase your physical stats, this represents the growth your character endured through physical training or acquired academic knowledge. You roll a D4. At this point, if this was an S-Class character, then you would have added the entire roll to your max physical stat points. However, you are an A-Class character, so the number of points you can add to your max physical stat points will be decided by whether your roll is an even number or an odd number. If you roll an odd number, you can add 1 point to your physical stat maximum. If you roll an even number, you can add 2 points to your physical stat maximum.

Lets say you rolled a 2.

You can now add 2 to your maximum physical stat points, which gives you a maximum of 17 points. You can freely appoint these additional points to any physical stat of your choosing, to a maximum of 9 points.

And you are now an A-Class with a total of 27 raiment points, and 17 physical points

Coming of Age

Coming of Age characters are citizens in the prospective kingdoms and cities around the world that are under the age of 15. They are the children, and adolescents of the world, the youth. As such, Coming of Age characters do not get a bonus to their rolls. Whatever they roll as their base stats are their starting stats, and they are not able to increase their stats until they enroll in the Academy.

Quote:

Example

This is a simple example of a coming of age build. First you roll the dice rolls that would be used for stats, you roll 5 D6. Or for those less knowledgeable about dice words, roll 5 six sided dice. You roll these dice by rolling your dice as part of the post action on a reply within your profile thread.

Lets say you rolled 3, 4, 1, 4, and 3 Total: 15.

Now you get to distribute your rolls between your raiment stat abilities. You can place whatever roll you want into any raiment stat of your choosing, like so:

Power: 4
Control: 1
Speed: 3
Range: 3
Technique: 4

Now that you have your base stats set, you can calculate your class rank with your current starting stats. The total for this character would be 15, so we check your total of 15 to the classification table in the post above.

B-Class is 15-21 points You're the middle ground. This is where most people land in life. They aren't the most talented in the world, but they aren't horrible at it either.

So your class rank is B-Class with a total of 15 points.

Fae Visibility

The fae are just another species that reside in Eoana. Being entirely magical creatures, their magic allows them to hide from plain sight, keeping them invisible (unless they choose to reveal themselves) by affecting what they see, and while it's possible to mask their sounds and hearing similarly, fairies almost never do, usually because it is unnecessary and it hadn't been done for so long that most have actually forgotten how to do so (because of this, shifters can sometimes sense that something's there or off, even if they can't see anything).

However, fairy magic doesn't affect everyone equally and some knits react differently to it, meaning that some people have the ability to see fairies despite their magic. However, this is a rare ability, and to determine whether characters can see fairies without their permission, we use dice rolls and only characters who roll a 1 can see through fairy magic.

Because some knits have greater chances of seeing fairies because of the nature of their raiments, we will be using different dice for different knits to reflect this as shown below:

Diviners - One 4-sided die, roll 1 for success (25% chance)
Celebrars - One 6-sided die, roll 1 for success (17% chance)
Shifters - One 8-sided die, roll 1 for success (13% chance)
Other knits - One 20-sided die, roll 1 for success (5% chance)

Please do these dice rolls in your character's thread and say whether they can see fairies. This is a necessary roll for all new characters
