Elizabeth Kenway had given a deadly blow to the witch and watched her clench her chest. Elizabeth felt that vengence had been hers and that the prince was saved, but her victory was cut short. The witch uttered one last spell before Elizabeth was engulfed in an orb of light. She held her hand up, covering her eyes as she disappeared before the witch and the prince, moments before the witch vanished and the other knights stormed the tower, rescuing the prince. Elizabeth blocked the light as best she could but when the light subsided, she blinked her eyes, "My liege... are you..." she was about to check on him when she realized she was alone in a dusty tower. It was night time, which hadnt been mere seconds ago. As she tried figuring out what was going on, her injuries finally began to seep through the adrenaline of combat. With her free hand, she held her side which one of the clawed beasts had gotten a lucky shot. She used her sword to steady her as she went to a window and instead of a forest or a view of the village she called home off in thedistance, she saw tall metal glowing structures. She was baffled as she didnt understand what had happened, "More of the witch's trickery!?" She stated, as she began to climb down the central spiral stairs which were dusty and almost seemed ready to collapse. She got to the door and found it locked on the inside which was odd, she was the only one inside the hard to hide in tower. She pulled the big rusted bar lock open with a kur-clank, opening the door. Her injuries had started to get the best of her as she opened the door, stepping through as her armor clanged and lightly clanked. She saw weird lights among smooth stone paths and the tall structures surround the grassy area around the tower. She had fallen to a knelling position, her sword peircing the ground to catch her balance. She soon noticed a figure and through her blurry vision she saw the prince's face in the strangers face, "My liege... you are safe... Your rescue was a success..." her words trailed off as she let go of her sword and fell to the ground, her heavy armor clanged before silence fell again. When Elizabeth was taken to the hospital, she had been tended to, her wounds stitched up and cleaned. She had several scars, old battle wounds on her arms, some on her legs and a few on her torso. She was hooked up to an IV and other machines monitoring her, but the doctor came in to speak with Fayez, "As far as we can tell, she doesnt exist. She has no records of prints or facial recognition, no dental records... even blood tests come up negative for a record. We did take enough tests to know she is very healthy and we guess she is 20 years of age. We cant identify what caused her wounds either, but judging by her blade, its hard to tell since her wounds werent of any normal blades and they didnt fully look to be animal claws. If she wakes up, please inform us so we can ask her for more information." The doctor informed him. As he was reading his book, she began to stir as her eyes began to open, "Where... where am I?" She asked, covering her eyes weakly from the over head lights, "Why are their holes in the ceiling?" She questions as she noticed the tubes going into her eyes, "What witchcraft is this... remove these from my arms now..." she demanded as she moved and began to try removing the ivs from her arms, her fingers not able to get a grip as she was still medicated and light headed from the blood loss.

It had been more than just an interesting day for Fayez, his classes thursday morning consisted of debates and in some casses physical brawls from students who did not get along would break out. In the afternoon he had lunch with his father who, as always, lectured the dark haired male on his career path. Following after came the musical practices that the dark haired male took great enjoyment in. A lot of guys around his age were into sports and playing video games but that wasn't for Fayez. He prefured singing and playing a veriety of musical instroments over the violent activity of sports. His practes took him well into the night. As he left the tall light filled building Fayez had decided to take the longer rought on his way back to his appartment. Walking through one of the many parts within Kroxross the tall male's mind began to wander, his emerald eyes catching a glimps of the tip of the old tower within the park. The story his grandmother told him sprang into him, he understood that because of marrages he was related to the current ruling family. But he never would have believed that he was actaully related to the origianl ruling family of Anlil; to some extent he didn't believe still. Yet somehow his grandmother was able to find the information of the An's family legitiamasy for the thrown. As his thoughts consumed his mind his feet led him to the front of the tower where his gaze would drift from the door to the higher window. There his eyes caught a shimmering of light that quickly faded away, leaving the window dark again. " What the..." His voice quiet at first before falling flat, he quickly guessed that some kids had gotten up into the tower. A sigh escaped while he shook his head, the kids playing in the tower needed to be shooed away before one of them got hurt and considering he was the onlyone there at the time it seemed like it was going to be his responsibility. Adjusting the strap to his leather messanger bag Fayez would begin to move forward. Reaching for the handle he gave a good hard tug on it but it didn't move. The door was either locked of stuck which meant he wasn't going to get in easily. Taking a step back the young man would look around for a place to get in at. His emerald green eyes would search hard in the dim light of the street lamps but he could find no way in. " How did they get in there? The door is locked and I'm not seeing any low windows they broke to get in." The dark haired male spoke to himself as his ears picked up the sounds and clanking metal. Durning his head Fayez would watch as the door made a loud noise, as if a heavy metal lock had been undone. As soon as the door opened the tall male realized he had been wrong, there was no kid in there but a young woman. From the dim lights of the street lamps Fayez could make out her shinning armor and a sword, instantly fear gripped him. Was she one of those crazy murders that used old weapons? She sertainly didn't look like it but in this world it was always better to be safe than dead. The male was about to turn and run when she finally spoke. She uttered strange words before falling over and lay in silence. His eyes looked down at her " H-hey!" The young man called out to the woman on the ground. As she remained quiet he moved closer to her slowly kneeling down he would take a closer look. His eyes caught the sight of something red and oozing, quickly pulling out his phone from his front pocket Fayez would dial the emergancy number. " Hi, yes. I have a woman here in Oaklen park near the tower laying uncountious on the ground. She seems hurt. Please come here quickly and take her to the An-Man Hospital. Yes. Yes. Thank you." The dark haired male would stay with the woman to keep any pervs away, though he knew he wasn't a fighter and hoped his presence was enought to keep troublemakers away. As soon as help arived the dark haired male would follow after to the hospital, traveling by foot to the hospital where he planned to remain until the woman woke up. Over the night Fayez stayed in the hospital, giving up his nice luxery bed for the hard chairs in the waiting room. He could have gone home and waited for a call once the woman woke up but to him it just didn't feel right. The nurses and doctors were kind to him, allowing the male to use the employee showers and to freshen up inside their bathrooms. The only things he wasn't able to change were his clothes but that didn't bother him much. At 8am Fayez had called his professors to let them know about his absence from class before calling his father to inform him on their lunch being cancled. The male's frist priority of the day was to help the woman from the tower and althought he had been yelled at by his father on his decision the young man didn't care. To him it was the right thing to do. As soon as he was able to Fayez picked up his messanger bag and walked into the room reserved for the girl, she was still passed out but looking in better shape than she was before. Her emerald gaze would lingure on the woman for a moment, she was beautiful, her vibrant red hair reminding Fayez of a rose ready to bloom. Turning his gaze from her the tall male would grab one of the chairs in the room and pull it beside the bed, keeping himself between her and the door just in case she jumped up and tried running out. The young man still doubted her sanity, she had armor on and held onto a sword. She looked as if she had been fighting a creature of some sort and her words seemed seemed odd. Her liege? What was that suppose to mean? He wasn't in line for the thrown and he hadn't told anyone about what his grandmother found. As his mind wandered on her words the male pulled out one of him spear books from his messanger bag, while he read doctors came in and out checking the girl and writting down things about her. Finally when one of the doctors came up to him the young man would look up from his book, nodding to show his understanding of the doctor's words. " How odd, there is no way someone can show up without any type of record. I'll ask my father to see if he can find any information on any missing people from other countires. Maybe she's not from here and just ended up here." It was a long shot but it was at least worth a try, someone in the world must be worried about the girl. Parents, siblings, maybe even a lover. Fayez would look down at his book once more, his mind questioning all the information he was given. The doctors left and once again the two were left alone, the young man pondering how in the world she ended up in the tower. Soon the woman began moving and speaking, this gabbed the man's attention causing him to look up as she started to work on getting the ivs from her arm. Quickly shoving his book into his messanger bag Fayez would get up from his seat, " Hey, hey. Take it easy." His voice was soft and kind, his hands reached out. One would go to take hold of her hand that picked at the ivs while the other would attempt to gently cover the ivs, keeping them safely in her arm. " You're okay I promise." Fayez would smile warmly at the woman, hoping that she would rely on his words and relax. The young man would keep his hand over the ivs while his other would move up to the call button upon her bed, paging a nurse into the room. " She's awake. Please get the doctor." The dark haired male would speak kindly as the nurse nodded and turned away, hurrying to get the doctor that had been tending to the woman's wounds. " You gave me quite a scare last night! Coming out of that tower. I'm glad to see that you are alright and not seriously injured!" Fayez would speak softly to the woman, hoping that he wasn't being to loud for her considering she had just woken up. As soon as the doctor came into the room the young man would go back to his seat, allowing for the professional to do his work.

Elizabeth was stopped and was about to shout at the man who dared grab her hands until she stopped. She looked at Fayez's face and was even more confused, "My leige, where, where am I? The last thing i remember is the witch having captured you, and that i had slain her where she stood. Then their was a light and now, the village, why is it all metal and bright?" She asked confused but soon enough a man walked in. The doctor looked at her, "Hello miss, if you dont mind, I would like to ask you a few questions now that you are awake. If i could get your name." He stated as she looked curiously at him, "Elizabeth Kenway." She stated and he nodded, "Alright, do you remember you age and anything else, like your address and any occupation you have." He asked hoping to find some answers on the mysterious woman. This was all confusing to Elizabeth, "My address?" She questioned but he explained that it was where she called home. Elizabeth nodded when that was explained but she thought it over, "Im 20 years of age, I reside and have a room in the castle. I am a royal knight, a personal guard to the prince." She said motioning her hand to Fayez since in her mind he looked completely like the prince from her time. He was probably a close descendant of the prince and possibly a reincarnation but that would be hard to prove. The doctor however looked at her confused, "Alright... well thank you for the information." He said writing that she may need a few tests to run to check her mental state since she wasnt seeming like a sane person with her answers.

Fayez would listen to the woman speak, with every word she spoke he only convinced himself more that she was out of her mind. However, the male was not about to run from her or just hand her over to the hospital to deal with. Though the talk of a witch only confused him, there were no such thing. Witches were myths created to scare people and make great stories for kids, certianly this girl didn't believe in them. Did she? The man would wait, though, to answer any of her questions as the information the doctor was seaking out weighed any answer he was going to give. The young woman seemed willing enough to answer which was good. She didn't seem frightened by the doctor and her willingness to allow Fayez to place his hands on hers only confused the boy. The young man would remain scilent as the two talked, her answered only serving to make the dair haired male uncomfotable. He was no prince, by liniage he wasn't even in the top five canidaites for the thrown. Though Fayez did want the thrown and wanted to give the people of Anlil the best lives they could have, he just had to work harder to get there. It was the reason why he was attending the university, he took classes on law and goverment. Languages as well and accounting classes just in case. Though he still had a long way to go and had yet to get his history classes in. " Ah, Doctor. If you don't mind I would like to answer this woman's questions from earlier." With a nod from the man in the white coat Fayez would turn his head to the woman resting there. " Miss Kenway, you asked where you were before the doctor came in. You are in An-Man Hospital, jointly owned by my family, the An family, and the current ruling family, Manira. As for the city you called a village...." Fayez was unsure on how to answer that, " Well, this is Kroxross and it's the capital of Anlil. It hasn't been a village in many... many years." He paused, the man didn't want to overload the girl with information or cause her to panic. She had also spoken of witches, capturings, and called him a prince. These Fayez would adress at a later time, or at least that was his plan. " Can you tell me what year it is? Or your date of birth? I wish to help you Miss Kenway." Fayez would give a reasruing smile to the woman just before the phone in his pocket began to go off. " Excuse me. I'll answer this out in the lobby." Fayez stood as he took his phone out of his pocket. Bowing her head to the two before he left the room. It was the one person Fayez did not wish to speak to at the moment, his crazy mother or at least Fayez called her crazy. What did she want? More than likely to question what he was doing, why he wasn't in his classes, why he was at the hospital with some girl, and so on. While he was away the Doctor would question Elizabeth more, " Do you remember where you were when Mr. An found you?" He would glance up to the woman ready to write down her answers, " And can you tell me what you were doing? I need to make sure I can give you the appropriate treatment for any wounds you might have." He specifically wanted to focus on any head injuries, it was possible that she could have sustained a head injury causing her to think Fayez was the prince. Everyone knew that current title was held by a man only a few years older than Fayez, the prince of Anlil had deep chestnut hair and golden eyes that complimented his tan features. The curent Prince and Fayez looked almost nothing alike. " Now. Elizabeth, are there any questions you have that I can try and answer for you?" The doctor would speak kindly to the woman while Fayez was out speaking with his mother. It would be a while before the dark haired male would return with an exhasperated expression upon his face.

Elizabeth looked at Fayez as he began to explain what was going on but it all seemed so confusing to her. He explained that the city hadnt been a village for a long time as it seemed still just as confusing. When he had asked if she remembered the year of her birth, she nodded, but before she could answer, a strange thing made a sound in his pocket and he walked out of the room with it, did the witch become victorious, has the world fallen to evil magic? She was so confused till the doctor spoke but she felt like this was all point less. She didnt understand what was going on and clearly this wasnt her home and that the witch had done something to the world around her. When Fayez returned, she wasnt sure what to say as they seemed to give her strange looks, but the only thing she could give was the honest truth. She looked between the two of them, "I was born in the year 1118, and was a mere peasant till the prince found, a child of my own age and offered me shelter in the castle. I grew up to be his personal guard and had been why I was injured, the prince had been kidnapped by an evil hag of a witch, who wanted nothing more then the kingdom to fall and the royal line dead. I was injured by her creatures of darkness in my attempt to save him." She explained as she looked at how the doctor looked confused but with how she had just explained it, it sounded at best that she was either a crazy person or someone on a movie set, an actress who bumped her head and has amnesia and believes the script of the movie to be her life story. Those would probably be thetwo logical options but ut was hard to tell with this crazy sounding woman since she sounds like she has conviction inher voice.

When the young man entered the room again he felt more tired than he had when he woken up. His mother exhausted him with all her question, he had to explain things several times before she would finally accept him answer. She was the reson Fayez had gotten his own appartment, her constant questioning drove both him and his father up a wall. Though he didn't get alone well with his father, their relationship was still miles better than the one between the young man and his mother. The dark haired male had just walked up to his seat when he heared the young girl state her year of birth along with being a peasant. This made Fayez even more confused, it definilty wasn't 1118 and there was no way this girl could have been a peasant, there were poor but such class structer had gone away hundreds of years ago. There was also no such thing as witches, or so the young man thought. The young woman was serious in her answers and was serious about the royal line dying. He just couldn't understand what this girl was talking about. What made it worse is that he heard no news from his father about the girl and no one showed up to the hospital asking to see her. Fayez had many questions he wanted to ask, just to try and find out more about this girl and what she believed but before he could speak the doctor turned to him. "May we speak in the hall?" Fayez nodded as he followed the doctor out of the room and down to a side hall. " This girl seems to have her information confused. We can preform a MRI scan on her brain and pull a physiatrist. That will allow us to see if she has any type of illness or some sort of damage to the brain which is causing her to say odd things. However, because she has no medical insurance you or your family would ahve to cover the full amount. Also, we can't keep her here for more than a few days and we don't have anywhere to put her." The doctor spoke to Fayez as he looked over the note he took. Fayez on the other hand ran his fingured through his black hair " Yeah. I get it." He sighed. " I'll pay for it and when she gets released I'll find a place to house her until she has her memory back or until we can find her family. I cant just let her walk out of here with no place to go and her memory all mixed around. Plus..." He turned to the doctor, " If she gets hurt after leavig here I would feel terrible." The doctor nodded before adding on, " I see, well I'll make sure to get the MRI set up and we can get it done today. Are you sure you want to take her with you? She keeps refuring to you as the prince. She could be a stalker and could cause harm to you if you're not careful." Fayez nodded as him and the doctor continued to speak. " Yeah. I thought about that when I first saw her but she didn't attack me ad she has been kind to me this whole time. I dont get the prince thing and I will need to explain that before the royal family hears about it but I'm sure I will be fine with her around me." The thought of having a total stranger with him did scare Fayez a bit but he just couldn't let her walk out alone. With that the doctor nodded and headed down the hall leaving Fayez alone to walk back to Elizabeth's room.

Elizabeth could see the looks on their faces and read them like a childrens book, and she was so confused on why this seemed like such an odd statement. They didnt even tell her what year it was so for all she knew, everything around her was forged from the black magic of the witch. She saw that the doctor seemed to think probably negatively of her, she wondered if he was planning to finish her off where the witch hadnt. She didnt know and didnt have any answers but she had to think of something to do to get them. She looked at the machines and gizmos she was hooked up to, she had removed the heartbeat monitor while the doctor had been in the room, not sure what it was when it was clipped to her fingure. She had regained some of her strength, the medicine had worn off so she gently but firmly removed the IV from her arm as well as anything else connected to her. She tried getting up but winced at her side, her wound wasnt major and had already been tended to and stitched up. If needed she planned to just cauterize the wound if it reopens. She walked over to the table that had her things, she picked up the sword while it was sheathed, a gem glowed on both the hilt and the sheath as it shrunk into a dagger like sheathed knife. Her blade was enchanted, which was from a friend that she spared when she found out she could perform magic and alchemy. She put on her belt from the sheath under her gown so it rested on top of her hips. She walked over to the balcony that each room seemed to have for being a fancy hospital, where she stepped out in just her gown. She didnt care that technically she was naked aside from the hospital gown and basic underwear she was clothed in by some nurses when she was stablized. She looked out at the scenery but looking back at the room, she stepped towards the right side of the balcony, her right arm to the wall as she climbed up and seeing a ledge, quickly moved to another balcony but instead of staying on the same floor, climbed down a story. Their wasnt a balcony to the floor under that but there was an open window in the on call room. She climbed into the bunk bed filled break room and saw one nurse asleep from working long hours. She quietly stepped over and grabbed some spare scrubs, thinking them some colorful peasant clothing but once she changed out of the gown, her dagger belt hidden under the shirt and hoodie she took. She walked into the hallway after putting her hair in a messy pony tail as she looked around, getting passed by nurses and doctors that were unaware of her not being one of them. She saw an exit sign and followed it, but as she got close to the exit, she quickly but remained calm looking, left the hospital and went out into the streets. After fayez would have walked back to the room, he would open the door to find that the bed was empty, her sword was missing and the glass door leading out to the balcony was wide open and Elizabeth was no where to be seen. Elizabeth stepped into the streets, she was so confused, by the buildings around her, the way the people were dressed and how some seemed to he having conversations with themselves while holding their ears, nothing made sense. She was even more confused by the metal carriages that moved without horses, the witch truly had corrupted the world with black magic, how could she have failed the prince who must be under a spell that made him forget her, that had to be it.
