Physical Description: Blone hair, sparkling light blue/grey eyes and androgynous features. Cuzon is easy on the eyes. A typical pretty boy. He lets his blonde hair grow down to his shoulders and it falls in subtle natural waves that give him a beach blown look even when he has spent all day in doors.
His build is thin and rather delicate with a middling height it would not be hard for him to pass as a women. His choice in clothes tends to be for comfort rather than style. He wears loose fitting shirts and pants and always tends to go casual when he has the chance.

Personality: So, why did Cuzon become a candidate? He is unlikely to tell you. His usual response is a smile and shrug because putting his life on the line for a cause seems so at odds with the rest of the attitude he portrays to the world. Cuzon has always been one of the people that goes with the flow of his life. He's never had to fight for anything he wanted or really struggle in life and he is quiet content with that thanks very much. If he was pushed to name a driving force in his life it would be to find a good nap spot. He likes to sleep, a lot. No one bothers him when he's dreaming. It goes without saying Cuzon is lazy, he does the bare minimum to get by without getting yelled at or scolded and he is a horrible procrastinator. Leaving everything to the last minute and then rushing it. Sometimes that backfires in spectacular ways but he has been doing the same thing for so long that he usually gets away with it and the last minute rush has become a skill it itself.
Luckily for him, some benevolent power granted him some brains to go with his good looks and lucky birth. He's smart, really smart at least academically and he barely has to glance at a book or study to get an decent grade in a subject. Any minimal effort can rise him to the top of his class. If he doesn't know the exact answer, or if the question doesn't have one he can blag his way through it was skill and conviction of a top politician. Plus he likes to read, but he sees it as another way to relax and chill out before nap time.

It should be obvious, but Cuzon defiantly suffers in the more physically demanding areas of weyr life. He is not over weight because he eats like a sparrow so his slim and delicate body structure he is less than intimidating in a fight. The only thing that keeps him going and pushes him through in physically demanding drills is the thought that failure will lump him with more chores and extra laps around the weyr bowl. Which he hates.

His lazies faire approach to life has got him in trouble in the past, with his father and with other kids and peers who get frustrated by his casual attitude in the face of his luck. In some of those encounters he has come away with bruises but even they haven't managed to change him. He shrugs his shoulders. Agrees he probably had it coming and goes back to reading his book.
Even his emotions seem to obey and conform to his desire for an easy life. He doesn't get riled or angry easily . He doesn't display great fits of passion or hatred because that also seems like to much effort. A waste of energy.
He thinks things through calmly, logically and he has no trouble seeing things from another persons perspective.
That makes him a great listener and wise beyond his years when giving out advice.

Cuzon was raised in the higher levels of society so when he wants to be his manners are flawless and he can set himself up as a prince and a charmer. However It usually costs Cuzon nothing to be kind and so he always is and he can't ignore someone in trouble directly in front of him. Because he can always see the other side his empathy is one of the few forces powerful enough to drive him to action. He's also polite, sincere and honest to a fault. Coming up with lies is a pointless exercise in Cuzon's view so he is straightforward even when it gets him into trouble.
Cuzon's brains could be put to use coming up with complex and thought out strategies to fight thread or be set to a craft like healing. Or he could have become a master trickster and clever thief. Instead he sits, reads and naps. He doesn't have a malicious bone in his body, but he doesn't fancy himself a hero most days either. Cuzon is happy just to sail on through life.

When he gets close to someone he is sometimes willing to put in a bit of extra effort to spend time with them but only if they share a close bond. He might also be inclined to be magnanimous with energy expenditure if the person asking for his help has recently done something for him in turn. He's fair.

History: Cuzon comes from old money. Most say the origin was trade and clever business dealings but no one really knows. However Money begets money and his family have always been careful in placing investments and rubbing shoulders with all the right people to make sure that their financial future was always stable. Cuzon was the fifth child in his family and second son so he didn't have any real expectations on him apart from not shaming the family itself.
He always had the best teachers growing up and though his general intelligence was high he never showed talent for one special area or passion for anything beyond reading and absorbing more information. So when he hit the right age he was apprenticed to one of his older uncles who still practiced trade as a merchant. It was on one of his training trips that they came across a dragon and its rider on search. The great beast was instantly drawn to the boy and invited him back to western weyr. Since he was already growing tired of his stuffy uncle he agreed.
