Physical Description: Sorsha is short at about 5'2", and built slender and long-legged for her height but wiry, with very little in the way of curves. Her long thick hair is a rich red in color, wild and barely kept under control in a braid. Her pale skin is literally covered with dark freckles over her entire body, almost to the point you can't see her regular skin tone. She has wide ice blue eyes, a small button nose, and an eternal gap-toothed smile all set in a roundish face. She's cute, but in an odd way.
Sorsha can sometimes be spotted wearing a dress or a skirt, but not often, usually only at Gathers. She's typically seen in trousers whacked off at the hem above her ankles and shirts tied up around her waist. Shoes are optional as far as she's concerned, but she'll sometimes yield to practicality and wear sturdy boots.
Personality:
Sorsha is a ridiculously happy girl. She's something of a goof, with an impish sense of fun about her; when she was younger she was notorious for stealing bubbly pies and klah from the Lower Caverns just because she could get away with it. This girl is always in motion, even if it's just thumping her foot on the floor when she's in class. Dancing is a thing she enjoys a lot, and she'll throw herself into every lively dance the harpers play until she's exhausted.
She'll dance with anyone, too, regardless of whether she knows them or not. A friendly girl, she'll welcome newcomers to the Weyr with a grin and a hug (and maybe a stolen bubbly pie). Sorsha isn't afraid of anyone or anything, least of all looking silly or getting caught. She's willing to take ridiculous risks to get what she wants -- once she decides what she wants, that is. This girl is incapable of making a deliberate choice about practically everything, preferring to rely on impulse and her instincts to come to a decision.
Despite this, Sorsha is smart as well as clever; she usually gets high marks in her Candidate lessons. When she's paying attention, that is -- she unfortunately has the attention span of a flit and is easily distracted from chores by potential adventure. She's often too smart for her own good, and when left to her own devices (ie, she's bored) she'll come up with wild schemes that often end with her getting assigned even more chores.
She loves Western Weyr, though, and she loves her Wingleader father and her life as a weyrbrat. She wouldn't trade it for anything. And she can't wait to someday be a dragonrider!

History:
Sorsha is a weyrbrat born and bred at Western Weyr, the daughter of Cortun of white Menyherth, who is the Wingleader of Star Flame Wing. She was raised in the Creche, a wild weed of a child running riot amongst the other children, getting yelled at constantly to sit still and behave and what would your father say. None of which had any impact on her behavior.
She did settle down for one thing, though: helping wash and oil dragons. Sorsha loved dragons the way some girls love runnerbeasts, and would take any excuse to interact with the Weyr's dragons. And she found weyrling dragons just adorable. (She still does, all of the above.) Her favorite dragon, of course, was Menyherth, because it allowed her the opportunity to interact with her father as well.
Luckily, Sorsha managed to survive her childhood antics til she turned 14, when she was invited to start standing for clutches. She leapt at the opportunity, and despite not Impressing at her first Hatching, she was undaunted. She has been passed over by dragonets time and time again, but she remains hopeful that she'll Impress one day!
