The following meeting is between Lahlil and Shuu discussing how to turn the hidden leaf into the hidden seals.

tabTapping her pen on the desk, Lahlil sat in her chair... AND WAS SO BORED. Ever since becoming the Hokage it's just been meeting after meetings. Day in and day out, everyone was trying for her attention in solve every problem. Which wasn't a bad thing by any means! It was in her nature to have a strong desire to help everyone that she could after all, but all this work had left her so little time for herself. Her hair was a ragged mess and she hadn't even been to her home once since it had been built for her, instead she had taken to sleeping right in her office chair being too tired to get up from it at the end of the day. Now on top of all that she would have to meet with this 'servant' ? of the elders. Perhaps she should call Gado in before they came? The tiger secretary had had a such a huge positive impact whether she had to meet dignitaries, or anyone for that matter. But alas this was supposed to be his day off and goddess knows the man had earned it. Back to tapping the pen it is I guess.

This is only useable up to the users self ranked korabo level and each genjutsu is still treated as separate when interacting with kai. Any upkeeps are also increased to reflect this change.

✘✘ Village: Konoha || Rank: Genin || Classes: Scholar & Genjutsu ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ What Shuusui had witnessed in the fall of Uzushiogakure had in a very real way marked him. Despite recently graduating from the Academy and becoming a full-fledged Genin, he knew that he could not rest easy. The newly christened Konohagakure would need every resource available to survive. Which meant he would have to live up to his clan’s expectations and more. Though, that didn’t mean he had to do it in the manner they’d like.
Still, he couldn’t simply ignore them. The inner workings of the Uzumaki clan would not allow such an approach. Sometimes they dared too much. Even now, on the ashes of Uzushiogakura and the rebuilding that they all had to go through, the elders insisted on playing petty power games with any and all comers… even the new leader of the village! The Hokage: Lahlil Nevarra had summoned the elders to a meeting, whose purpose had not been stated. The elders had, in a fit of pride, felt insulted about not knowing the reason behind the meeting. Thus, they decided to respond to the summon by sending him: Shuusui. It was a slight. Though Shuusui was the heir apparent of the Uzumaki at this time, sending him was in fact a dismissal of the Hokage and her importance.
Thus, here he was. Having to meet the Hokage as the clan’s representative. Keep the Elders happy while not pissing off the most important figure in the village… what fun. tabAfter what felt like after eternity later Lahlil heard the knock at her door signalling that she assumed must have been the Uzumaki clansmen that she had summoned. Well they certainly took their sweet home getting here! Making sure that her hair was perfectly straightened and no drool was on her face after her nap, the Hokage went to personally throw open the door for her visitor. "WEL...come. Oh, hello there." While her tone might of dropped in excitement the smile on her face did not. She didn't want to give the impression that she was displeased or anything, because honestly she wasn't. Only surprised, and maybe a little confused? "Are you the from the Uzumaki clan?"What the hell are you saying Lahlil? Of course he is you idiot."Pleased to meet you! Please come inside and I'll pour you some something you something to drink."
Showing the boy inside, he would find a small assortment of tasty pastries paired with pre-brewed tea's and coffee on an end table next to chairs in front of her desk. It wasn't much by any means but it was obvious enough that she expected and prepared to feed more than a couple guests. Aftering pouring him a cup of his chosen drink Lahlil would took her spot at the head of the room, knees pulled up to her chest and small frame sinking cozily into her plush chair. ✘✘ Village: Konoha || Rank: Genin || Classes: Scholar & Genjutsu ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ To say Shuusui was a little frazzled that the leader of his village was MAKING HIM COFFEE would be an understatement. To be fair this would also be the first time he had ever met *said* leader, And while at 14 he was more... composed than the typical Genin, this was a little disconcerting. Having her ask him what he would prefer to drink had been boggling as is she were a common barista and not the women who commanded assassination squads on a whimsy.
He had detected a measure of surprise at his presence, which was unfortunately, completely expected. It was an intended slight by the clan elders to send Shuu in their place. That said, it was subtly covered by his position of heir. The escape from Uzushiogakure was recent and the newly christened Konohagakure was essentially defenseless. The elders are likely accurately determined that the Hokage would look to the Uzumaki clan to layer the village in a myriad of seals to protect all of them.
They had already told Shuusui what concessions they expected him to... not demand so much as firmly push for. Shuusui felt it was tantamount to treason honestly, but he was not in the position to simply ignore their demands and deal with the Hokage in good faith. Not yet. Still, perhaps he could turn this to his advantage.
Sipping on the wonderfully made latte, Shuusui replied to his leader's inquiry,"My clan believes that they do in fact suspect the reason for you to summon a representative Hokage-sama. tab Letting her head fall to the side, Lahlil gave a small pout of confusion. Not because of anything of her own, but because she was certain that she could see the very same emotion painted on Shuu's face. Her general nativity in the ways of political intrigue only left the Kage to wonder if perhaps she hadn't done something wrong, a fact she now tried to make up for in her own sweetly awkward way. "Oh, don't worry about the drink! I promise there are no secret assassination attempts here!" Suddenly grabbing a bunch of cookies from the plate, Lahlil stuffed them into her mouth along with a sip from the same coffee from the same kettle as she poured Shuu's from. Tears immediately welling in her eyes from the boiling heat, but Lahlil held down any cries of pain. "Ngh.. see..? All good, no poison here." Her muffled speech was followed by several seconds worth of swallowing her snack hoarding before she was able to speak again. "Ahem... Uhm right well... I guess since you already have a good understanding, we can just go ahead and skip the guessing game I had set up for you..." A few breaths of an awkward giggle left it to be inferred that that was supposed to be her poor attempt at a joke, but the hand that swept over the desk to cover up her list of hints made it certain it was very much real. Lahlil didn't try to hide the disappointment at the loss of her bonding exercise.
"So... the situation is this, I'm currently being lobbied by a clan seeking shelter within Konoha's walls. In exchange they've offered to work on a sealing array in defense of the village. No I really do appreciate their offer... but due to more Uhm... personal reasons, I've wanted to see about setting up a potential relationship for the Uzumaki Clan first." Hearing herself talk so vague left Lahlil sitting a bit uncomfortable. She had been given a quick rundown by Gado before the meeting was to begin in order to prepare her, but it wasn't in her to lie or even withhold information. Maybe that made her a bad politician but she wasn't going to compromise her beliefs because of her position. "I don't want to play underhanded. My advisor told me that I should accept the offer. The Origami do good work I hear, and that it would be a trial for me, a young new leader, to have to deal with the cutthroat politics of... your elders. I just... suppose I have a soft spot ever since I met with a... friend, you could call her. Sanae." Quietly twiddling with her fingers Lahlil waited for what she had just spoken to sink in.

_✧ Blood Magic | The user's ninjutsu are able to be converted into blood that assumes the same size and shape as the ninjutsu used to create it. If the ninjutsu had an effect such as burning, burns, paralysis, etc, that effect is still in effect as the blood acts in a similar fashion to the original technique. After being cast, this blood remains active upon the battlefield. In addition, the sight of blood in such masses causes tiered mental stress based on technique rank for three posts unless kai is used. Additionally, the user's blood pool is increased by 10 per body rank, allowing them to utilize their stored blood more efficiently.
_✧ Parlor Tricks | Lahlil has become so mastered at the use of fuuninjutsu that whenever she casts a use of flying thunder god or the fuunin specific shuushin, she may leave behind or have placed at her transported location, a fuunin seal from the another ability placed automatically. This essentially changes the casting location for the paired ability while still consuming an activation and chakra. To be clear this PA makes it so that as long as she has the activation and resources to do so, Lahlil can simultaneously cast another fuunin with flying thunder god or the fuunin shuushin.
_✧ Shared Information | All information, sensory or otherwise, gathered by anyone who is a part of the telepathic network is shared with the group, not just the Yamanaka. This does require the Sensing Transmission technique from below. Additionally, the user is granted a passive field around themselves that offers that minor sensory capabilities ( limited to sensing the origin point of incoming jutsu ) but can ultimately upgraded if of the Infinite Perception discipline. This field is limited to five feet per body rank.
_✧ Corrupted Life-force | The user's blood has been tainted by the clan's cursed lineage. Their blood has a diseased nature, applying tiered disease upon entering the target's system depending on the user's body rank. A ranked amount of chakra can be applied to the user's blood to make it acidic and cause an equal amount of damage depending on the amount of chakra applied.
_✧ Peerless Summoner | You are more specialized in summoning and sealing than sensory. You are allowed to have a mirrored amount of your total ninjutsu slots granted by this class exclusively reserved for sealing. In addition, all sealing techniques are considered overwhelming when in collision with other techniques of the same rank. This benefit only applies to techniques S-ranked and below. Finally, if you are able to summon any contract summon regardless of a bloodline connection of a signed user of a summoning contract you are able to summon beings at one rank lower than normally required and 50 chakra and stamina is granted to them per rank of the summoned creature starting at 50 for D-Rank and ending with 250 for the boss summon, or 300 if a mythical summon is contracted. The user's summoned creatures are able to use any ninjutsu the user has access to that they share an element for as well as any genjutsu, taijutsu, and bukijutsu. Your summoned creature's unique techniques are considered overwhelming at S-rank and below in collisions.

____✧ Battlefield Presence | The user's powerful presence on the battlefield strikes terror into their foes. Opponents are able to sense the user's terrifying fighting spirit five feet from the user per body rank of the user through chakra sense. Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no activation for that specific instance of kai.
____✧ Infinite Perception | Your specialty is more in sensory than in sealing or summoning. You are able to discover things such as demon chakra, or the type of technique that is about to be active (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, etc.), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank from any active sensory technique. This discipline allows the user to be able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -2 rank reduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill so long as it was used within the range of the user’s sensory abilities. You can release yourself from genjutsu at one rank lower in kai chakra release but with no benefit in pain release. In addition, the user's sensory abilities are extended fifty feet per rank of the technique. As a master tracker, you can advance in the ninja hunter and special ops careers for half as many Oinin Butai and ANBU missions completed. Upon reaching Initiate in Oinin Butai, you gain the Eagle Eye perk innately so you can choose one other Oinin perk as well. When you use a sensory technique with jamming you can double the jamming effect, this ability applies to one technique per three posts.
____✧ Scholar – Scholar | You may pick 2 of its disciplines. Additionally, fuuinjutsu and sensory techniques used by this specialization are reduced in chakra cost by five per rank with a minimum of five chakra.

This effect lasts for one post baseline but is increased by one for every other rank starting C rank Body, leading to a four post duration at S+.
____✧ Crimson Swordsman | The clansman is adept at using bladed weapons and excels at slashing foes asunder. Injuries sustained by bladed weapons of the user bleed for an additional post per body rank of the user and reduce an additional five stamina per body rank of the user. Blood produced in this manner when viewed causes tier-one mental stress for three posts unless a D-Rank kai is used.

Frankly, it was tantamount to a very real threat. Coached in polite wording of course. But essentially, the Hokage was willing and able to endorse another clan who also boasted of a strong Fuuin background over the Uzumaki.
The elders would hate it, but their games could likely cost them in real power/influence in this village, particularly if advisors had recognized how far the elders outstripped their competition in political games. Refusing to play would hurt them. He took another sip before speaking."The first Uzushiokage. I never knew her, I was too young, but much prestige was gained by the simple fact that the Uzumaki established this village or more precisely its predecessors. It also gained us certain conditions such as being in charge and having access to all the arrays that are developed in the village. Sanae and the Uzumaki wanted to maintain their superiority in Fuuin you see."
He sighed,"In truth, Gado might have made a mistake in telling you to simply accept the Origami's offer. Once the clan had found out you had ignored/circumnavigated them, the repercussions would have been... debilitating."He rose his hand in a conciliatory manner,"I am not threatening you with that Hokage-sama, but I would be frank and paint out the realities of their position and why they have so much arrogance. They've gotten bold, they run the clan and there is no Head to curtail them. The heir is too young for them to heed yet. They know all the inlaid rules that protect them in this village. They are still loyal, please do not doubt that. They only seek to improve the position of the clan in light of the very real losses we too suffered when Uzushio fell."
Still seating, he bowed in respect."I am but your servant Hokage-sama. I know what they want to get, the petty glories that will fade but I know better what they need. We need lands, lands to rebuild what we lost and lands to gather the components necessary to improve our strength. We would not choose isolation but,"He got up taking out a map of the greater area of Konoha. He pointed out several areas.
"The resources here would not only allow us to grow and recover but allow us to create better quality scrolls and fuuin to best protect this village. We have various arrays that we can and will implement for the safety of this village. We do however, need that land. At least a controlling presence of it."He winced as he realized the next necessary step."We would also need to work with the Origami if they wish to add their own arrays. We can't have the arrays negating/weakening each other. I will see that we provide some of our arrays for the Origami to learn if they abide but having us learn theirs. In truth, the Uzumaki could simply demand these arrays if the Origami wished to join, but I don't want that. It would be best if you painted it as you using us to simply verify the Origami's arrays are what they claim and to better integrate it into the greater array of defense for the village. You would have the benefit of not lying either."
His calm gaze turned to meet the Hokage's eyes."I would have my clan help protect our home. If you do this in the manner I propose, you will appease the ego of men I cannot yet curtail, have them do their duty. Acquire the array you desired and more, while still bringing in a new clan that for all appearances will be an asset to us. Hokage-sama, forgive me my impertinence for my tone and words."He held his gaze, calm, controlled. He wanted to impress the Hokage more so with his strength and knowledge. To let her know that while the Uzumaki was... problematic at the moment, that they would not continue to be. tab Nervous fuchsia regarded Shuusui, digging for any hint of the anger Lahlil felt like she was due. She was sure that she had made a mistake in telling the truth, she could already her Gado protests for goodness sake! Not that she would have let that stop her… it just felt so dreadful being Hokage. To be forced into situations that were normally so awkward for her. There was no end to the stomach turning! Still… she didn’t find that here. As a matter of fact, Lahlil felt a bit of kinship with Shuusui, particularly as he noted he was too young for the elders to pay him heed. Her entire time in office so far had been spent being told that people would just walk all over her because of how inexperienced she was, that she was too young even. Well maybe a new point of view was needed. Maybe she could even lead a new generation with this new Uzumaki leader. But first they were both going to have to wrestle back the power they were due.
Slowly Lahlil’s body relaxed, to the point she found herself needing to suppress undue smile’s or giggles here and there. She didn’t want to inspire the idea that she thought Shuusui’s claims were ridiculous by any means, but it was her nature to be awkwardly playful at inappropriate times. In truth, the calm she was feeling stemmed from the feeling of excitement that came as Shuusui expressed his ideas to the Kage. Some would attribute it to her native innocence, but Lahlil always preferred to believe in the idea of a better world, and here was her first opportunity. Waiting patiently for her guest to finish his speech, Lahlil jumped at the chance to talk again, not bothering to hide her eagerness. “No no! Don’t apologize, these are all brilliant ideas! I can see why you got sent here, after all you really are impressive coming up with all of this, I wish I could have you as an advisor all the time honestly.” Biting at the outer edges of her lip, Lahlil looked over the map with the marked areas over. “Mmm well this area is sanctioned off for now, but I can let you have your pick of any of the others for sure! We can start building preparations immediately after this meeting! Oh… and before I forget. Let me apologize for Gado. I don’t think I painted him in a good enough light… he means well, but he just… well. Let me put it another way. What do you see when you look at me? It’s okay you can be honest.” Lahlil smiled, twiddling with the edges of her sleeves. To be clear this PA makes it so that as long as she has the activation and resources to do so, Lahlil can simultaneously cast another fuunin with flying thunder god or the fuunin shuushin.
_✧ Shared Information | All information, sensory or otherwise, gathered by anyone who is a part of the telepathic network is shared with the group, not just the Yamanaka. This does require the Sensing Transmission technique from below. Additionally, the user is granted a passive field around themselves that offers that minor sensory capabilities ( limited to sensing the origin point of incoming jutsu ) but can ultimately upgraded if of the Infinite Perception discipline. This field is limited to five feet per body rank.

Their blood has a diseased nature, applying tiered disease upon entering the target's system depending on the user's body rank. You are allowed to have a mirrored amount of your total ninjutsu slots granted by this class exclusively reserved for sealing. In addition, all sealing techniques are considered overwhelming when in collision with other techniques of the same rank. This benefit only applies to techniques S-ranked and below. Finally, if you are able to summon any contract summon regardless of a bloodline connection of a signed user of a summoning contract you are able to summon beings at one rank lower than normally required and 50 chakra and stamina is granted to them per rank of the summoned creature starting at 50 for D-Rank and ending with 250 for the boss summon, or 300 if a mythical summon is contracted. The user's summoned creatures are able to use any ninjutsu the user has access to that they share an element for as well as any genjutsu, taijutsu, and bukijutsu. Your summoned creature's unique techniques are considered overwhelming at S-rank and below in collisions.

Opponents are able to sense the user's terrifying fighting spirit five feet from the user per body rank of the user through chakra sense. Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no activation for that specific instance of kai.
____✧ Infinite Perception | Your specialty is more in sensory than in sealing or summoning. You are able to discover things such as demon chakra, or the type of technique that is about to be active (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, etc.), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank from any active sensory technique. This discipline allows the user to be able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -2 rank reduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill so long as it was used within the range of the user’s sensory abilities. You can release yourself from genjutsu at one rank lower in kai chakra release but with no benefit in pain release. In addition, the user's sensory abilities are extended fifty feet per rank of the technique. As a master tracker, you can advance in the ninja hunter and special ops careers for half as many Oinin Butai and ANBU missions completed. Upon reaching Initiate in Oinin Butai, you gain the Eagle Eye perk innately so you can choose one other Oinin perk as well. When you use a sensory technique with jamming you can double the jamming effect, this ability applies to one technique per three posts.

In truth, he had come prepared to fight for every scrap of respect, to have to prove himself to the Hokage that he was worthy of support. She had quite taken him off guard. She had moved deftly, stating clearly that she would move to secure the lands she could to help realize Shuusui's plan to get the Uzumaki to help the village. It was impressive. Her flattery of him had as mentioned, surprised him. Her vulnerability of how she felt in the office, struck a chord in him as well. His own situation an odd mirror of sorts to hers.

tab Happily grabbing at the scroll, Lahlil filled it away with all her other important documents. Stuffed away in a manila folder, and tossed in a cabinet to be forgotten until she needed it again. "So it's decided then!" She exclaimed eagerly, ready to rub her other advisor's nose in the fact that she had managed to secure an important alliance all by herself. Although perhaps her time here wasn't done yet... biting the inside of her cheek, Lahlil considered Shuu's words. He was only a genin, but there was already a sense of strength about him that Lahlil found steadying, and doubly important, he just happened to be studying her specialty. If he was trying to win brownie points, he certainly hit the jackpot. "Of course now that I think about it... it would be strange of me to bring someone so lowly ranked..." A flicker of a sly grin teased across her lips, purposefully she held back as her little way of poking fun.
"So, I guess I'll just have to promote you mister fancy new Jounin Shuuie!" Lahlil le the explosion of her statement hit him before she continued with her jittered enthusiasm. Even when it wasn't for her, Lahlil couldn't help but feel happy for others during moments like these. "Honestly, it just wouldn't feel like a real alliance if I didn't give you the respect deserving of your station anyway. BUT!" Lahlil blurted out with one raised finger held up to Shuu's nose. "Don't you think that means I'm going to be taking it easy on you either! I don't want people thinking they can just waltz right through my ninja ranks with money or status! The only way you can advance around here is through hard work and skill! Which is exactly why I will be taking you under my wing for now. I'd like to oversee your genjutsu training personally. Plus... It'll give me a chance to slip out of this place, but you gotta pinky promise me you won't say anything about that." He was a Genin, but with a sly grin and a flick of the wrist, Lahlil had made him a Jounin! It was discomfiting but also a very real reminder that a lot of the power in the village laid in her hands. Her admonishment that she would be working him hard so that he could prove he deserved was perfectly fine with Shuusui. As if he hadn’t had to prove everything from the start. To maintain his influence and to maintain his position in the clan.
Of course, her next comment had nearly left him spluttering. Personal training with the Hokage was not something that many shinobi could claim and Shuusui would never have even suspected that such a possibility would occur. In a very real fashion, Lahlil had taken him completely off guard.
