Physical Description: She's already 6' tall and statuesque, lean and rather muscular in build. Heida has long white-blonde hair that has a slight wave to it; she wears it pulled back in short braids/cornrows around her face when she has chores so it doesn't get in her way, but the rest of the time she wears it loose with braids tying it back a bit. Her eyes are a dazzling blue-green in color, wide but often squinched up in a raucous laugh or a huge grin, set in a fair-skinned, almost heart-shaped face with a straight nose, cheekbones to die for and strong mouth and jawline. She's an unconventionally attractive girl, what one might call "handsome". Heida usually wears belted tunics and breeches and fur-lined boots, mainly because skirts are inconvenient to deal with in a scrap or while doing chores; she does dress up for gathers and such, though, because she is proud of her athletic physique.
Personality: Heida is definitely her father Herg'r's daughter. She lives her life large, not wasting a single precious moment of it on things she couldn't care about. This girl is already a partier, unashamed of anything she does with her friends and Weyrmates, though she tries very hard to keep things reasonably under control because she is a Candidate, after all. She grew up defending the smaller kids in the creche from anyone who would try to intimidate or harass them, and is unafraid of doing whatever it takes to protect her friends from harm. She cares deeply about family and friends; and she considers the entire Weyr her family.
And she cares deeply about High Reaches Weyr; it's her home, the only one she has ever known. As loyal as the day is long, there's no place on Pern she would rather be. Heida loves the snow and the sometimes brutal winters as much as she loves the brief but glorious summers. She also loves dragons, understandably, and will take every opportunity she can to help the dragonriders bathe and oil their bondmates. Her favorite of course is Herg'r's big bronze Hyglath; she greatly enjoys spending time with him, letting him know he is loved, and getting oil on those hard-to-reach spots her father often forgets.
She's just as easily bored as Herg'r, and just as prone to getting into brawls, especially when she is bored. Heida is unafraid of a good fight, sometimes starting them herself but always finishing them. This has gotten her in trouble with the Candidatemaster, as one can imagine, but she accepts her punishment without complaint, because surely whoever she just beat up needed to be beaten up. She mercifully doesn't have a foul temper, just a misplaced sense of how to deal with boredom.
All Heida wants in life is to be a dragonrider like her father. That's all.

History: What's to tell? She's a weyrbrat, raised in the creche. Heida has always adored her father, and decided at an early age that she was going to be just like him when she grew up. Even when he left High Reaches, she still wanted to emulate him. She was an impressionable pre-teen when Thread returned, but it only made her more determined to Impress and fight the scourge of Pern. And when Herg'r returned, she was overjoyed and more determined than ever to be like him. And she's well on her way!
