Physical Description:
Nona is tall enough to look most grown men in the eye, a habit she picked up to be far more intimidating than truly is. She’s rather round and heavy chested. Nona has muscle to her, and has no struggles keeping up with the demands of such an outdoor oriented life. She dances, frequently, finding much strength built from it. Nona’s skin is lovely shade of umber, her palms quite lighter. Her left fingers have a prominent scar, a gift from a [darling] firelizard when she had been trying hand feeding it to try and bond. Needless to say it did not work.

Her eyes are bright green, and always are wrinkled in gentle humor. Stress and an armful of children left quite a few crowsfeet and then some behind. She positively glows when she smiles. Nona smiles up to her eyes, and her grin nearly splits her face in two. Nona has long, black curly hair. She takes pride in keeping it looking lovely, taking care to braid it under hats when she goes flying - lest it become a windswept untameable mess.

Nona loves wearing bright shades of color, particularly with beautiful patterns. She keeps fires going in her rooms constantly, so her clothing isn't buried underneath heavy furs and jackets to stave off the frost.


Personality:
Nona finds fun in being known. She loves her personal flair recognized, the sound of her loud voice immediately recognized from across the Weyr. She makes herself at home easily in any place in the weyr. She’s open-mouthed, and known to be quick tempered with anyone she feels is rubbing her the wrong way.

Nona is bouncy, and some how full of grace about it. She can never sit still, at the very least shifting from foot to foot. Preferring to dance, to spin, to put movement to the fluidity of her thoughts. If she must sit still her leg is constantly bouncing and her fingers drumming. Slouching in misery until she is freed from her music-less prison. She is full of grace and zest for living. Falling in love with each new day for the smallest of reasons, in the sunny seasons her reason for waking is sometimes just to observe the sun filtering through greenery. She becomes quiet bored easily otherwise, finding monotony in life if she doesn’t find simple pleasures to surround herself in.

If she does however, get too deep in monotony, Nona can be quite rash. Doing things for the sake of something new to be done with little regard for consequences. Most notable is painting the entire hide of her dragon bright green, trying to claim her darling was honestly green all along or perhaps it was a pox among dragons - to the horror of a handful of Healers until they realized the “joke”. She knows she's supposed to be setting an example for everyone being a queenrider and all, but what's life without a little fun!

For all of her whimsy, Nona does have practical tendencies. She’s not one to wax on about ‘what-ifs’ and other mundane sorts of worry. She sees, experiences, and feels fully in the present. She is keenly observant and prefers to let her worries be quieted to by logic or a good, strong drink.

Nona has some small sense of responsibility. It’s mostly reserved for the occasions that a goldrider is being an ambassador for her weyr. She can smile and mingle with the best of them, and pretend to know what social charm is. She also adores to help others with their lessons. She has learner a deep respect for those who make lessons and look after those learning. If any of them need assistance, she's quick to offer any help.

Nona is overly fond of alcohol, finding the best of times to be had inside of a tavern. Her tolerance is quite high due to this. She’s no stranger from letting the stress of the day go and ending up singing on top of the tables with anyone who feels up to having a good time.

Nona is quietly sensitive, taking criticism sometimes far more heavily than most others. Comments of critique in passing can be left festering in her heart, desperate to better and prove herself otherwise. It’s slumps like these Nona quiet appreciates the tranquility of her dragon, leaning on their calmness while figuring out their own negative emotions.

History:
Nona was born to a family who bred runners, and had just about as many children as foals running around. The stronger, and swifter the better -foals that is. She has a great love for the creatures to this day. She was often responsible for her young siblings with such busy parents. She often had to teach them and look after them, lending to her love to tutor others when she can.

She was searched to Western weyr. She was never the best at candidate lessons - her mind always wandering. Not to mention she felt so constrained.. but she held onto the basics, buddying up with another who struggled and put their heads together to do just a little better at it together.

It good handful of hatchings passed when Shalbyath chose her. She scuttled onto the sand more like a trundlebug, trying to move her paws faster than her shaky legs would allow. Nona truly believes her little darling waited until she no longer expected her, humility and all that. Whenever its brought up between the two, they share fond laughter.

Shalbyath rises perhaps less than usual than other golds, and takes no preference who chases and wins. Nona unsurprisingly had an armful of children between thay and her love of tavernlife. Each of her children are raised closely and full of love. She has no mind being a mother, even if she hasn't another to share that duty with. She'll gladly put her wild and fun nights to the side to be sure all is well in her family.

Physical Description:

Shalbyath is built a bit like a tank. Her limbs are short and stocky, her tail rather thick and branch like. A fair bulk of her size is settled in her shoulders and haunches, making her looking fair larger than her bulky self truly is. Her wings are large but not overly so, perfect for her habit of gliding and spinning through the night air. Shalbyath's head is round, even her snout has a bit of a bulbous end to it. Her head knobs are fairly tall upon her head, giving her a bit of a permanently surprised expression.



Personality:

Shalbyath is a level headed creature. She is keen on helping Nona think through problems from all angles. Full of tranquility she is unruffled by stress and other crisis throughout the weyr. She is a strong shoulder of support in trying times, wings outstretched to all. Her ledge is open to all who wish to curl together and count on Shalbyath for support.

This gold is playful, prone to antics like laying on her back and twisting her legs in the air like an overgrown kitten. She adores games of all kinds, and has an absolutely fondness for children particularly to Nona’s own. She loathes when she must keep to her own devices, solitary life does not suit her well at all. Making her rather broody and anxious. She’d much rather be warming a sunny spot with someone she calls friend thank you!

Shalbyath is a rather active dragon. Enjoying darting around the skies on hazy summer evenings, finding fine joy in feeling the wind rush over her. Much like her rider, this gold is full of life - just a bit more unbridled. She is frequently clumsy, stopping while flying at high speeds usually ends with her raucous mental laughter and quite a few things knocked over.
