~Current Theme Music~:Isshiki's Theme Essentially as An Additional Bonus to Competing in the S-rank Job Mission that is Shokugeki and actual Shokugeki match can take place following a set of rules, Completing and actual Shokugeki as a victor in a certain category will award a purely 'flavor' Title and maybe some rad fame. Additionally even if one is unable to partake in said job mission a Shokugeki can still take place for the pure fun of it.
Shokugeki: House Rules When participating in a Shokugeki a panel of 3 Rpc or Npc judges are made. Npc's will fill in the empty spaces. Among the challenges, you will find in Ika-shokuji are area specialties. When selecting a type of cooking as a chef-nin you yourself can decide what you believe your specialty to be. Selecting a specialty will grant you a bonus during the judging panel.
How its played: A [10] sided dice is rolled by each judge, just because your food is of high quality won't necessarily means its meets everyone's pallet. That numbers results will essentially be the judges interpretation of your meal. With 1 being near vomit inducing to 10 being a mouthgasm. The overall score is then tallied for a final score on the dish. In the end whomever has the higher total score after three dishes is the winner. A Score per judge cannot exceed [10]
Modifiers: • My Specialty:+1 Is Added to your Dice Roll if the Shokugeki is falling under your (Specialty) • Title Bout: For each Title you have in cooking Apprentice, Journeyman, Master, and Grandmaster: +1 is Added to your dice. I.e The worst meal a Grand master chef could possibly produce is of [5] quality. • My Favorite: If the RPC is a judge playing to their favorite type of food will increase the modifier by +1
Bonuses: Bonuses are one use 'special' items that may turn the judges in your favor. Use them wisely. But using them must be decided before a roll is actually made. 3 Bonuses are given at the start of every Shokugeki here in Ika-shokuji. One usable per dish if so desired.
Cutthroat Kitchen: Sabotage of an opponents dish in a discreet manner. Either turning up their heat when they weren't looking or something similar. Decrease the rating of each judges roll by [-1]
Iron Chef: The lowest score that can be given for your current dish is [5].
Playing Favorites: The next judges roll is at minimum [7]
Kitchen in Heat!: If there is a tie between judges in regards to your own and your opponents dish use your fiery passion to claim an additional [+1] point per judge possibly putting you ahead.
All or Nothing: If all three judges roll above [5] The total score becomes [30] if just a single Judge rolls below a [5] the entire dish is 'trying too hard' and the Total score becomes [5]

This focus and chakra control allows the user to deflect ninjutsu with complex formless or shield techniques equal to the rank of the ninjutsu. ○ Devil Fang {Jaryu} The user is able to pay the cost of a technique twice once every three posts. When this is done, the user can release the technique twice at the cost of a single activation, allowing them to overwhelm a single target with ease. Entering the 'battlegrounds' would be none other than the Arashikage as the crowds that had gathered were mixed with cheers and boos. Toso himself was a mixed bag an excellent chef but questionable leadership. He'd wave awkwardly before letting loose a mild sigh. "I do hope I'm not too out of practice..." Looking across the kitchen arena he'd see Unki uncertain of just how fired up she was in comparison he made sure to emphasize. "Ah! Unk-nee don't assume I will take it easy on you now bloop. I may be somewhat rusty but even rusty utensils are still silver underneath." The meat glimmered on the podium Toso took a moment to think. He was a little off put the category was red meat. It was by no means something he was unaffiliated with but it wasn't something he'd categorize as his ideal to work with. The Empress was all bright and giddy with just the WOW factor of being here. She gave enthusiastic, tight little waves to the crowd through her walk to her station. She was all distractedly pink in a chef's jacket and her hair was all rolled up in a slightly larger roll of hair than usual.
The crowd seems to really like her! Perchance the audience actually knew who she was, without the commentator's voice blaring about the room, and wasn't just cheering for someone other than Toso. Out of spite.
She was all bubbles and cheer on the outside and as she drew nearer to Toso, the look in her eyes suggested otherwise. Terror. Terror masked well by her smile. Her bubbly exterior was a lie! Unki was almost nothing but unnerving jitters. The Empress was just shaking too quickly to really see. It was exhilarating, none the less. Toso addressed her and she piped her reply. Unki's eyes were wide with an ominous feel behind her violet stare, "I'd be disappointed if you did go easy on me." She battered her eyelashes before fiercely wobbling her swirly up-do with the turn of her head toward the special ingredient table.

It was like her eyes were replaced with large, glittering stars when she looked at the arrangement of beef cuts. Unki was dazzled with flickering images of sizzling meat in her head. It was Wagyu! Whatever the dish that had to be this superior, choice cut has to be the star! Could the passion pumping her fluttering heart really able to accompany this prized meat? She was the avid rice bowl enthusiast but her culinary safe zone could shame this meat! "Ooh, the 'once in a blue moon' dinner!"

Chahito's entrance.
▱▰▱The booming sound of trumpets and drums could be heard from outside the stadium even to the constantly chatting and rousted crowd of spectators in the area. A massive parade was marching down the street outside of the stadium as a massive door was opened in the arena. The opening from the door would reveal the full image of the parade that was approaching them. Booming voices from numerous gruff soldiers could be heard. "MAKE WAAAAAAAY FOR PRINCE CHAHITOOOOO! SAY HEY IT'S PRINCE CHAHITOOOO!" The music picked up as the soldiers juggled their scimitars in impressive unison. Standing on the first float with a microphone and intense stereo system at the front of the pack was none other than Yamata, the attendant for the royal family of the magnificent Tea Country. "Hey! Clear the way in the old Bazar! Hey you, let us through! It's a bright new star! Come be the first on your block to meet his eye! Make way, here he comes, ring bells, bang the drums, oh boy you're gonna LOVE this guy!" The mild-mannered attendant had a surprisingly beautiful and enthusiastic singing voice as the prince of the Tea Country, Chahito, came into view. He was riding on the back of an actual elephant on a luxurious saddle covered in silk. He wore elegant robes made of peacock feathers and a crown atop his head with an actual taxidermied swan at the peak of the headdress. "Prince Chahito, mighty as he, of the Tea Countryyyyy!" Yamata sang with extra emphasis on his rhyming from the clearly-prepared-in-advance song. Running ahead of the elephant that carried the Tea Country's crown prince were a dozen beautiful dancing young women, six fire twirlers, two dozen dancing monkeys with five tamers, fifteen fire twirlers, fifty three peacocks that matched Chahito's outfit, and a partridge and a pear tree. Chahito drank excessively from a bottle of fine red wine in his left hand. In his right hand, a sack of you that he continuously threw money out of into the crowd. The highly valuable bills caused massive outbreaks of fighting in the crowd outside of the arena but Chahito was unphased and continued showing his generosity to the peasants. The parade entered the arena once the money sack was emptied and the intoxicated prince waved regally at the crowd inside the arena while constantly nearly slipping off of his elephant mount due to drunkenness. Chahito was invited as a judge for the cooking event because he was a man of refined taste and a notoriously picky eater. He only ate the finest cuisine and believe that he would be the best judge for his palette's finical nature. Once the elephant entered the arena, Chahito would disembark by sliding down the elephant's trunk. He continued waving as he wobbled over to his seat at the judge's table.

SHOKUGEKI!
The large crowd would let loose their wild echoes and soon as that final shout was yelled the tension in the Kitchen escalated. Toso had analyzed the ingredient table rapidly processing what it was he needed. Tomatoes, tofu, shitake mushroom, noodles...shiratake. These were all nabbed from the ingredient table using the extensibility of his tentacles all the while the man himself stood at the ready calm, cool, and concentrated at the prep table. Butter. He'd cultured himself, the sheathe. Soy sauce, homemade the blade. He would bring all these items to the prep table.
He'd lean down momentarily all eight limbs reacted instinctively as a knife holder was quickly removed of its contents. Various blades held in each tentacle. They would all simultaneously in perfect synchrony cut green onions, slice the tofu into blocks, and cut the wagyu into its ideal shape for what he was putting together.
"THAT CUTTING TECHNIQUE! THE REFINED SLICES! COULD IT BE! CHEF RAMASAMA ARE YOU SEEING WHAT I'M SEEING!" the blonde man who had revealed the earlier ingredient the camera for the viewers at home zoomed in on his serious profile. "Indeed. That is none other than the legendary knifework only some of the top chefs in the world are capable of...the speed and the preciseness of the cuts are said to be so fast and well defined the speed paired with the friction causes the blades to inherently warm. A technique so profound that to even equate would take multiple chefs within a kitchen and even then to do so in such a quick manner would make the task a living hell..that technique... A dramatic snare drum sound effect. "Jigoku Daidokoro! HELLS KITCHEN!"
Toso who was making excellent time with the utilization of his technique calmly did address Unki on the other side of the room. "I do believe I'm making good time on my prep Unk-nee. I do hope things are all going accordingly on your end." Was it smugness? Thats the air some people would get but the Arashikage's dulcet and same tone he always carried always made his words hard to interpret on the emotional spectrum. Toso himself, while his tentacles were busy, was adding a half cup of mirin, sake, and his hand made soy sauce to what seemed to be a pot to boil. As time passed. He added the other ingredients, the mushrooms with decorative cuts for presentation, the green onion, the noodles, the wagyu. A sauce pot, was nearby that Toso was stirring while the rest of the dish boiled.
"I SEE! THE ARASHIKAGE'S COOKING METHOD! IT SEEMS IN ORDER TO MANAGE THE DELICATE HEATING REQUIRED OF WAGYU BEEF RATHER THAN RISK SAUTEEING OR PAN FRYING HE'S BOILING IT! ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY RAMASAN!" The man who might as well have been the co-announcer raised a finger. "I'm sure you're familiar with this method. Especially around that special season. What the Arashikage is clearly making is a Sukiyaki. Typically served in a nabemono. Which as you know is a hot pot. A cooking method that capitalizes on the broth and sauce to bring out the flavors of its key ingredient."
With the narrations, complete Toso's dish would sparkle in its completion as he added the last touch. Drizzling the dish in the refined sauce he'd set aside especially for this moment. The aroma of the meal carried by the steam flooded through the crowd as everyone made their eeeee'ss and aaaaahhh's. Hopefully, Toso believed this would suffice. For even as glamourous as it seemed the Arashikage was a humble chef. The tantalizing aroma wafting over towards Unki's end who by this time also hopefully had her meal ready and waiting. As he was approached by Kagayaku to describe his dish that he'd be presenting to the judges he'd playfully respond. "I will be presenting my dish of a tosa wagyu sukiyaki...of course with my own special sauce blend bloop. So I suppose it would be a TOSO Wagyu Sukiyaki BLOO BLOO BLOO." the pun was cringe but the meal would hopefully compensate.

Oh! Unki was torn! A Wagyu steak was easiest route but the careful, limited selection of seasoning one was advised to work with for seasoning Wagyu might not be the wow-factor that would inspire the judges. Many chefs agree that Wagyu doesn't require a lot of marinading or too many seasonings. It was a scary thought to barbecue Wagyu and she didn't like how picky people were about what the perfect barbecue recipe was.
Dumplings were cute but suit more as an appetizer and there was no way Unki wanted to create the appetizer to whatever entree Toso had in the words under his tentacles. Steamed Buns! Would there be enough time for good, proper steamed buns?
The final shout was called to stir the competition. Unki's prime ingredients were collected: a hunk of beef, mushrooms, and a fistfull of green scallions. The bulk of her ingredients were dry ingredients, like flour, yeast, and other seasonings would be found at her station. Unki brought up a bowl, mixing cups, spoons, and the dry ingredients to start the dough. Butter. "If this works out. I might change my hair roll to a bun!" The working dough quit looking like a powdery mess and became a working glob in the bowl. At the other station, Toso was chopping, mincing, and seasoning everything without breaking a sweat! Unki's wagyu was waiting on her. Taunting her. Reaching the optimum level of room temperature with a fresh knife beside it and a cutting board. She's start sweating bullets this shin-dig wasn't being televised! No! Unki had her tabs on her composure. There was no nervous sweat with the gentle sizzle of shakuton chakra keeping her cool and her food safe! The dough was worked! Unki collected a damp towel and gingerly placed it over the bowl. She needed to cut the time for her dough to rise, tenfold, safely without compromising the integrity of the dough! She put her hands on the bowl and stood very still. She was going to be her own personal proofer. Too much heat would dry out the dough so this was a very, very delicate process. Oh! Toso had all those extra warms! Unki needed a clone to keep the towel wet! A mad look in Unki's eyes cropped up when she check out Toso's progress. "ME AND DOUGH ARE HAVING A GREAT TIME!" she shouted, shrilled, over her shoulder as she lifts the warm bowl with stray wafts of steam flowing out. Noticing that her opponent on the path of completing first was crazy frustrating when she had vegetables and meat to prep. It was all good fun to imply Toso's head could be the one under an Unki-powered steam bath under the heat of the competition. But Unki's heated nature might have meant her comment wasn't at all in good fun and this was all one, big bad idea to agree to let Unki cook in front of a crowd. For sport. The dough was finally in good shape enough to wait in the wings. Unki moved on, quickly, to work the meat and vegetables. Typical buns may call for a ground pork to share the spot light with cabbage and scallions. No! Unki wasn't going to follow the standard bun recipe! Her wagyu was attentively, quickly cut into thin strips and sprinkled with just a few, choice spices. Vegetables? Unki kept the scallion and had a heap of shiitake mushrooms to mince. She diced up the duo and dumped the earthy bits into a bowl with a splash of sake, ginger, soy sauce and sugar. Her earthy green bits could marinade as the dough was knocked out of the bowl. She began to rolled out several portions to make enough for each judge. Toso was nearly complete. How agonizing! Sukiyaki? What a quick dish! The arrangement of buns were delicately, meticulously pinched and closed. Her steamer was a traditional bamboo set-up. She had plans to serve them, right before the judges, fresh out of the steamer. Cooking steamed wagyu buns competitively wasn't going to be a feat Unki will probably, never, do again after this time in the SHOKUGEKI arena! When the buns were ready, Unki prepared the judge's plate before them. She began serving the delicate, large piping hot creations all while staring at Toso. The stress of doing the impossible silently screamed behind her very, fake cheery stare. Unki broke her stare at her Squid competitor, to face the judges, and completed staging the buns. "I will be presenting a spin on Nikuman. Steamed buns. Fluffy, warm buns with thin strips of wagyu beef layered inside!" Unki's sparkles and batters her eyelashes to the judges.The Empress seemed much cooler and genuine than before.
Shortly after the grand entrance of Prince Cheeto of the Tea Country, the sound of clanking metal and shouting of obscenities could be heard in the distance. From one end of the stadium to the other, as if someone was being chased... or perhaps being beaten to death with pots and pans. "YOU GREEDY, TWO-LEGGED BLACK HOLE OF A HUMAN BEING! GET OUT!" Through the double doors, a blur of fiery red came spinning out down the aisle, followed by an old lady who couldn't be any taller than five feet, armed with a cast iron skillet in one hand, and a broom in the other. "B-but the competition! Didn't you request a judge!?" That fiery blur would turn out to be none other than Ryu, the village idiot one of the Shokugeki judges. "The food was great, I'll give you a- Gah! Ow!" The iron skillet came flying straight for his head, and the elderly woman closed the distance much faster than someone her age should have, catching it as it bounced off of his skull and proceeded to beat him with it. "NO! You come in MY house, and eat MY food that I cooked for my husband! HOW DARE YOU!"
Loud echoing of the pan repeatedly pounding whatever body part it made contact with ensued, until guards intervened, holding the woman back. If anyone was worried about the boy's condition: well, he appeared to be just fine, save for a couple of bruises. Try having a demigod for a sensei. A pan won't seem so bad. "O-oh, it was... your husband's!? Well he's certainly a lucky guy, haha!""Oh, I'll show you..." As soon as the elderly woman started to resist the guards, Ryu let out a girly shriek and bolted for his seat among the judges. A pan chased him along the way, soaring through the air and hitting him in the back of the head with a loud *clang*, sending him toppling over his seat and into the table. "STUPIDHEAD!" Her last words boomed across the stadium as the guards took her away, with quite the struggle. Ryu took this time during the awkward silence to quickly set back up his table, chair, and tidying himself up a bit while casually sliding into his chair as if nothing was wrong. Clearing his throat, "Sup dude.", he'd look over to the other judge, resting his hands behind his head. His attention then would remain on the chefs below, focused on the meals they were preparing with a hungry look in his eye. As if he hadn't already ate who knows how much before he got here...

tabNext to arrive on the scene was Thresher. The Arashi Genin popped her head over the walls of the stadium and sniffed the air that hung around the crowd. She didn’t know what it was she was smelling, but it was delicious. A beautiful symphony on her nose, Thresher hoisted herself over the wall with her arms and took one step onto the ledge. “Hey she can’t be up there!” A shout from below turned every head to look in the girl’s general direction. Thresher froze in mid climb and blinked like a deer in the spotlight. Maybe trying to sneak in via the wall wasn’t the smartest decision. Hell, maybe it wasn’t even a logical decision. The girl only knew one that and that was to follow her nose. And her nose led her into the predicament she was in now. As she stood there, Thresher could see various members of security come through the crowd towards her.
“Uh oh…” she muttered to herself. The Genin scuttled the rest of her way up the wall and crouched for a second. Her eyes darted from one to the next as security came up on her, so the shark could pick the best route. It didn’t take long and, once she did, Thresher jumped high and forward! She soared over the few guards that had gotten close and made a mad dash towards the stage. After all this hassle, Thresher was not leaving without eating. In a matter of seconds the ninja sprinted onto the stage and did a majestic flip into the one open chair on the judges table. “Home-” Thresher took in a gasp for air. “Home base.” She wheezed.

Utilizing a Tomato-flavored consomme, my own cultured butter blend, soy base for simmering, shiitake mushroom slices and tofu to accentuate the consomme and paired best with the wagyu, with hand made shirataki noodles. Do enjoy bloop." Steam rolled off the Suikyaki as the cloche was removed. Sukiyaki had its roots in japanese culture but to call it something as sophisticated as 'gourmet' was being too kind although it could fall under the fine dining catergory. That said, Unki made Nikuman, and it didn't take a professional chef to convince you that steamed buns were as bumpkin as you could get. Still what made Shokugeki, Shokugeki wasn't about things as 'simple' as culture. At the very core in every food competition it would always come down to what else but...TASTE!"

▱▰▱The drunken prince's brain felt fuzzy as he sat in anticipation of the gourmet food being presented to him. He took another swig of wine from his bottle before belching into his sleeve. When Toso presented his dish, Chahito squinted at him through the drunken haze of dry eyes. "Hmph, I'm a man of most refined taste, it'll take much to impress my palace palette." Chahito took one bite of Toso's dish and spit it out onto the floor before his alcohol consumption caused him to vomit into the bowl. Takeda, Chahito's attendant, jumped out of his seat to care for Chahito. However, the moment that Chahito displayed weakness the crowd gasped as a chef from the kitchen brandished a massive meat knife and ran toward Chahito. The subordinate cook was an assassin from the tea country sent to kill the spoiled prince. Yamada jumped in front of Chahito before taking a knife to the gullet on behalf of his prince and collapsing. Chahito's guards then eviscerated the assassin with spears as Chahito rubbed his eyes carelessly. "Pfft, better luck next time, peasant! You think this is my first assassination attempt?! Oh...and someone tend to Yamada I suppose...well done!" Chahito rubbed the corners of his mouth with a cloth napkin and recovered from his drunken hemorrhaging as he watched his loyal attendant be carried away by emergency services for taking a steel knife to the gut. Chahito then pushed the vomit-filled bowl of Toso's gourmet cooking to shatter on the floor three feet in front of him as a final act of disrespect on the man's cooking. Feeling significantly soberer after throwing up, Chahito took a sip of a palette cleanser and a mint before taking a bite of the buns offered by Unki. "Most exquisite madam! This is why only a woman belongs in the kitchen!" The haughty prince devoured every bun on his plate while smiling at Unki. He then looked at Toso with contempt and indicated that he did not give his food a chance based on his gender.
