Long before her days in the Tanigakure, when she was a fresh genin of the land of twas Yozen clan betrothed to a Fuyuki syndicate member, recently turned eleven and her training to unlock her blessings of O-Inari and learn about the clans sealing Jutsu and thus was in a study hall and reduces the appropriate benefits to training there.

Sitting at a table at candlelight a young Hasaki went about studying the fundamental beliefs of her clan and the mechanisms behind how their techniques worked, being as she was a main branch member she knew the gist of most of this, but she was of age to learn the secrets behind their arts and was working to learn how to revealed her cursed seal as most would call it, for her and her family it was a birthright. She quietly and studiously poured over a few scrolls, and was drawing marking on her arm with a brush and comparing, occasionally washing some off and replacing them with improved or more accurate details. The only sounds were of the candles flame flickered and her occasional breathe as the brush tickled or she became aware of an immediate mistake and endeavoured to fix it.

After a while she lifted the written on arm and the drawings kicked into life, glowing and then vanishing as the brush she’d been using all this time vanished from her hand in a small poof of smoke. Her fingers closed almost as if they would miss the lost brush, however it instant appeared in her outstretched hand which resulted in her giving a satisfied nod, flicking the brush back to her first hand, before poking at a scroll with a few fingers to reveal more of its contents. The scroll unfurled a foot or so, shaking as it came to a halt, her eyes looking over the writing as she mouthed the instructions, lifting her brush and drawing in mid air absentmindedly. Her voice murmured as she did so, adding a soft sound to the markable silence of the room, the flame happy enough to dance with the best of the airflow.

Humming lightly to herself she put the brush down and instead attempted to use her chakra to simplest manifest the seals and writing on her arm, the way that so many in her clan could do. She felt her chakra flow and started to mold the chakra, writing beginning to manifest into sight on her arm as she confidently watched the writing appear then she triggered the technique and yet again her paintbrush poofed from one location to the other, this made her laugh in mild delight. This sort of thing came easily to her she was beginning to realize, although she wouldn’t allow that to impede her efforts and in fact motivated her to try even harder.

At this point she got up off of her knees, her long, comfortable night robes falling down to her ankles and waving a little with the movement. If she wasn’t mistaken she figured she had figured out to complete the manifestation of the blessings of O-inari, the currently dormant marking on her things, however if she was correct that would change shortly, which is why she gingerly pushed tables away in a small ring around herself, throwing a pillow into the centre and making sure all the scrolls were securely put away. Looking at one of her hands and repeating the same process from earlier, writing coming into view on her palm before yet again a puff of smoke came into being and she was holding her paintbrush, flipping it in her fingers and balancing it on her ear as she stepped over top of her pillow and crossed her legs as she sat down.

She closed her eyes and started to meditate, trying to focus on her tongue and find some clue for a way to find the hidden door, containing her blood right behind it. She searched and searched but the was very little to give her an idea of what to do, then it hit her. She tried writing the seal for unlock within the chakra network of her own tongue, slowly the letters seemed to form, she couldn’t see them but she felt like they were attaching to something, she then tried to activate them and found herself trying to twist an enormous key. Her face strained and sweat dripping down her brow she fought the key with all of her might, until finally she felt something given way and then a flood of power rush through her all at once, markings spreading out from her mouth, forming writing across various parts of her body, the girl looked at her hands and marvelled at her success.

With the sensations of new power she of course wanted to test it but knew better and turned the seal off, the tattoos retracting away after lighting up with chakra, the last ones disappearing into her mouth. She blinked as she felt the power recede and looked herself over, feeling perfectly fine and undamaged she turned to celebrate, but a pulse of fatigue hit her like a crashing wave and she fell to her knees panting. “Alright, that’s the kickback I was warned about.” She muttered to herself lowering to the ground and remaining in the fetal position so as to wait out the fatigue. This was the one setback to he people blessing, it would weaken the user for a period of time after use, so she tested a Different seal, amplifying her own endurance with some fresh writing on her chest, this helped her with alleviating the strain.

(C-rank worker mission, construct your first scroll after learning to build them)

Hasaki sat in the village workshop attempting to construct a scroll, although something not difficult for the writing aspect, she wasn’t fully used to the construction part and so here she was. Looking over the assortment of tools the villages workshop had to over and the instructional documents made it not difficult to get the knowledge of what she needed to do, the real issue was turning knowledge into a skill. Jill rolled up to Hasaki as she sat there reading, extending a hand to pet the giant ferret who great fully extended her neck in a stretch of enjoyment, her eyes squinting. However where her owner stopped she flipped over and looked at her expectantly.

“Don’t be a bother Jill I’m working, go play wi.... keep an eye on your brothers.” She said like some dismissive parent, licking her fingertips before flicking over a page and continuing to read patiently as she then shoved the massive animal Who could easily resist this but relented and got up to leave with a sniff and trotted away. After a few more minutes Hasaki finished her materials and went to get to work, standing up from the floor she’d been sitting on and stepping over to the workbench. “To make a business of a business I gotta do this sort of work as well as train some punks. Good grief.” She grinned to herself and picked up a scroll and slowly pulled it apart, none of its pieces had been cemented or connected and it was all just fitting into place.

After doing this she picked up some adhesives and slowly began to construct the scroll like a jigsaw, placing the glue upon to points required with a little dap, her nose wrinkling due to the strong chemical scent. “Bleh yucky, another reason I told the girl to leave, bloody inhale this stuff if she took an interest.” She mused, imaging how much of an experience trying to dig that out of the creatures nostril would be like. Finally popping the final parts into place she flourished the scroll happily with complete success. Grabbing the end of the scroll she went to unfurl ur and the paper quite spectacularly ripping as she did so, Hasaki giving a perplexed head tilt as she did so, unsure as to what happened.

It turned out that in her momentary Contemplation she had allowed the glue to drop and it landed on the edge of where the paper sat, fusing it together and thus causing her to ruin the material. She quite vigorously threw the thing over her shoulder with a sniff next to identical to jills sniff from earlier and started to find a new set of pieces to work with, tactlessly wasting the remnants of her former attempt. Going to each bin and grabbing the appropriate pieces in a near picky manner and putting them in her pockets to get them out of the way she would turn and casually still back to her workbench like she hadn’t just whipped something into the bin from across the room, speaking to herself as she went.

“I can’t let myself get distracted a second time.” Were spoken as if instructing herself as the young shinobi arrived at her workbench and again turned to do her work. Emptying her pockets off all the items, she had a little more difficult of a time because she had to put everything together, a few of the parts that were used in her last attempt we’re pretty constructed, this time that was not so. Putting in the extra care, her fingers delicately slotting part by part. The lips of Hasaki gentle moved as she silently spoke the instructions to herself, a trick she used so as not to distract herself with other thoughts like she’d done only a few minutes earlier, to avoid similar blunders. This time would be different was the mentality she approached this with as confidence was also a great help.

Being extra careful in the last phases she made she not to mess up the same way as last time, placing the glue on the table carefully when not using in newly realized care. Her fingers gently inspected the scrolls paper and ensured none of its layers were stuck together before she gently placed it down to wait for the glue to dry. Using the spare time she collected herself more frames and paper so could could begin work on another attempt in case this one went wrong and also to repeat the process if it went correctly, the new scroll that sat to the side, ignored at this point although a resounding success, the girl would be attaching a seal to it later, a product she built for the village this was and she intended to make more of them.

Fiddling away Hasaki was now working on a second scroll, placing the pieces together one at a time, the thrill and anticipation of the second attempt most likely working for the best left a spring in her motions. The gentle ticking and shuffling of wood being placed and slotted together and the slight body shifts were about all the sounds she made as she did this. Again making sure the paper wasn’t as risk and not allowing herself to hold the glue any longer than needed, she felt she had a feel for how to do this at this juncture. After finishing off putting the not to intricate puzzle together she secured everything in place, did a final check and then put it down beside the first. “There we are, a pair of wins I can hope... although pairs of things can be trouble.” She said thinking about the twin ferrets she sent Jill to watch but then shaking off the concern as these scrolls weren’t them.

(Mission complete, ferret scroll produced: mission start craft a scroll 2)

Now this work was a little tricky but Hasaki was good with her fingers and intricate memory oriented activity, besides being a shinobi she was a musician, she played the flute and as much as one might not see how this could translate, some of the skills did. This was due to delicate and precise finger work was required in both as well as dedication, sticking out the repeated actions in face of failure was the way to go. If failure was allowed to get in the way, she might never be able to play so skillfully and now she wasn’t goi g to fail at this. Hasaki wiped her brow with a sleeve before getting her hair out of her eyes, flicking her neck as it flowed behind her. Lifting the new construction she eyed it with scrutiny, it hadn’t been as well fitted as the other two, although it would work fine as what it was, it had zero aesthetic value to it. That didn’t matter in the end, so she restrained throwing it out and put it with the other successes, noticeably ensuring there was a distance between the as if to punish it for her flawed piece.

(Mission complete ferret scroll made. Craft a new scythe, c-rank)

Working on a forge was one of the most exhausting work the shinobi could ever describe, she’d learned to slowly over time and after helping construct the squall reaper, she needed a weapon of her own. Smashing away at a hunk of metal with a hammer, attempting to create a new crescent blade like that giant monstrosity. This was ultimately a pain in the a** to her but she worked away as needed, her head and body sweating as she went.. this was all for her own benifit so she had to stick it out. The metal slowly and surely turned from a formless blob into slowly and progressively flattening and spreading the material out across the anvil.

After several hours of miserable work she finally had made the blade of her weapon, the next part would be just as annoying as she left the material to cool of and set. After selecting a snathe she suspected fit her height and the length of the blade she made sure to have it treated whilst she recollected the soon to be blade and started to grind the beginnings of an edge onto the object. After doing so to the full length of the objects inner curve she pulled out a large whetstone and dropped her head defeated... this would take forever to do. Starting and rubbing the stone in lengths across the blade she would be stuck spending hours doing this, taking a break to eat and go to bed and continuing the next day with a begrudging mentality.

(C-rank mission complete. Craft scroll D (s-rank scroll))

Sitting in her work study, her face holding a pleaser expression as she was busy doing something she enjoyed, making complex seals! Today she was finishing off a scroll she’d been working on for a long while, not something easily put together, especially by someone of her rank. Scratching away with a quill, the ink a combination of special resistant inks, mixed with some of her own literal blood. Stopping and putting the quill on its resting plate before rising to her feet and stretching, a few cracks coming from her body, mostly from her linked fingers above her head. ”Hmmmmmmyaaaah! Just the finishing touches and it’ll be done. She said to herself, as she release her hands and brought one to her side and extended the other as writing started to form on her fingers. At that point she’d touch the special paper and the writing snaked from hand hand onto the sheet into a tight spiral and then all the writing blinking with a tint of chakra, indicating everything was working correctly.

Boy had constructing that scroll been a task, three months of coming back to it again and again. The main issues were waiting for treatments to be done on the sheets she had shaved to use as the scrolls paper like part, combine with having to treat said paper and wait until it had absorbed enough protective “fluids” without the making the paper to thick or tense to properly roll up. Four times she had tried and failed eleven times, she’d left it either to long, not long enough or mixed the solution with inappropriate quantities. The eighth attempt had gone awry because of two of her ninja companions being in a room she explicitly ban them from entering and knocking it off of its resting spot, putting it back to feign innocent, however it was too late.

This resulted in a two week stagnation as she was too irritated to go back to it as she’d run out of the wood she had wanted to specifically used on the scroll. Her companions had begged momma to find the specific type of tree and bring them a supply, which she did without much thought on the matter after the third day being whined at by the boys, until Jill came and actually explain the at had issue. The fact it only took her three more attempts was somewhat of a fluke, rather than skill, although with such a difficult task the idea of simply managing to do it this way could easily be regarded as skillful, Hasaki also forgave the kids for their transgressions!

Training all of these ferrets was a nightmare, she was hoping in between a wall of fur, this wall of fur was Hameline missing her with a claw by an inch or so and tearing past her master at breakneck speeds, the gigantic ferret longer than a bus but sailing along as if weightless. Hasaki extended a leg and kicked into the monstrously large form of her companion, not to harm but to push off of the entity before it completed its pass, twisting her body in midair and extending a hand gripping her flute and quite casually bonking Seth in the head as he came up at her. The fur ball would have non of it, as it’s body was pushed back, he twisted in midair and snatched a hold of Hasaki with his front arms, pulling her down with him. The little bugger twisted in mid air to try and land ontop of his owner, Hasaki having none of it managed to loosen his grip and dive out from under him with a roll as he flopped into the ground quite unharmed.

Lifting her hands she smirked and stated “fight some of your half siblings buddy!!” She said slapping the ground and in a torrent of smoke three ferrets all smaller than Seth but none smaller than a sheep dog. The biggest, the bruiser rush forward with the leader flanking him.l, the guardian of coarse sticking to Hasaki like glue and watching out for its masters other animal companions attentively, nudging it’s masters knee as a prompt, Hasaki dropping to the ground with the cue as Hakushi is tore overtop of her with a bear miss... however the bigger shifted in midair and made a snap for its owners arm, only to be shoulder checked by the guardian, before the two started to tussle, Hasaki rolling after them and tapping Hakushi with a restriction seal, the guardian taking full advantage of this and worming Hakushi into a pinned position. At that point Jill came out from a hole in the ground, tripping up the bruiser as it lunged for Seth, who promptly avoided his sister and tackled the lead ferret. Hasaki then clapping her hands and stating “break time!!” Satisfied with this little drill and ending it before all of her trained animals started getting serious with one another as ferrets do, so the could take a moment and go over things
