The Madman's Desk: An Emperor's Drafting Table

Hereupon sits the drafting table of the Emperor, Masahiro Hatake, where he designs and works with new mechanical crafts for sale at the MasaTek Industries Headquarters. These items are designed at different times throughout his odd years, and some are reworks of old concepts, given new life.

Masahiro sat to his drafting table and pulled several sheets of loose paper to the fore. A pencil in hand he began to pore over the ideas of a project he had finished years prior in Old Konoha, that had been lost to many in the modern age. He heard that some from the Lightning lands had used a variation of it, like many of his tools, they remained in usage, but outside of his turbulent homeland. Several sketches went down, and the Hatake realized that first, he would need to settle down a slew of new batteries for the project. He settled on crafting one initially for the prototype model, then he would move on to mass production for the later models. Removing a box of tools and an old orichalcum storage container, he began to work the materials until he had one that was functional.

The next phase would be to create the foundation scroll that bound the mechanism itself together. Ultimately it was a tempered glass scroll, chakra-reinforced. Designed with the strength to handle shock and combat. Masahiro had the intent for his Shinobi in the Lands of Fire, and hopefully, a reunified Land of Wind, to carry these into combat and be able to call on allies as needed. Their common radio network had worked, but it was insecure and was easily broken into. This could allow teams to set direct communication between only themselves, or for wider communication between even the village at a commercial level. Masahiro focused his scale and ideals with the time, and pragmatism he was afforded as he began washing the glass tablets and connected wiring with the fuuin dyes and treatments.

Once the base components were down Masahiro connected the pair and began writing a complex fuuin connector between the objects, and tied them down to the paired connection of the Lit Apparition Technique and Scroll Communication Technique. A custom written seal would act as a binder and settle the device to a receptor node. A device Masahiro quickly set to work crafting with a secondary glass scroll mounted. This device was ultimately nothing more than a server and communications tower, that received communications, relayed them to other units, stored them in case of emergency. In terms of the Lit Apparition technique, it acted as the Summon contract base and sorted communications to the individual tablets that held comm data with one another.

As conflicts drew ever nearer and the lines of war with nations outside of the recent concord with Arashi and the Lightning Empire, Masahiro looked to the design of the Fire Empire's ships. Since he had traveled Westward, they had fallen back into the rout of the traditional. Single hulled ships with scant reinforcement, chakra shielding was minimal, and the airship technology was now at a minimum. Arashigakure had taken over in that regard and had, it seems, surpassed even the old days of Konohagakure's technological prowess. Verdant eyes scored with gold stared across his drafting table as he took down notes and scratched at thoughts.

Unsure of where to place a few of his thoughts on the matter, he tapped his pencil against his temple and murmured to himself.

Removing the Orichalcum Storage container once more, Masahiro took a few strips from the bay and began to work them over. He hammered them into two, slightly offset, oblong dishes and set them aside. A control board would be drilled out, then cut out to allow for the dishing to fit with a slight gap between the plates. As the Hatake placed his hand on the top plate of one and charged it, the deck began to float freely. Cavitation and recycling of the chakra-path. It allowed for a faster, more nimble carve than the old prototype than Masahiro had designed.

The old MasaTek hoverboards worked natively, with no continued impetus after an activation charge they could continue to carve and fly higher on charged chakra until such a time as their plate was discharged to disable it unless the load was overdrawn. Once the weight was overdrawn, the board still functioned, but the value it drew was impacted further and further until the point that the coefficient for plate to lift began to fall far below the measure of things like the later-stage airships, and Masahiro had to adapt with a higher-end chakra output system for them.

The new cavitation system already doubled the effectiveness with just a minor adjustment. It would be more of an active system, unfortunately, but for larger systems turbines could be a solution to compensate. Masahiro considered the idea of using the aetheric leylines, but that would be too much of a limitation. He chuckled to himself as he began to construct a basic frame around the conductor box and the plates. He would connect one box to the other and attach both boxes to a 1/32 scale naval ship. Masahiro began fiddling with different measurements and attached a basic battery pack to the small design to test it out.

"I miss the skies. It would be nice to have vessels skyward once again." He mused as he plotted the best control systems and returned to his notes."

The Hatake focused in on his project, with the spark of chakra igniting the flight circuits of the small vessel, the ambient chakra circulated the cavitation between the plates and kept the ship alight. He pushed it forward and focused on the different nacelles. With each nudge of chakra they would jettison a vent and push the vessel in that direction. More power to the rear would lead to faster acceleration from a location, charged to the front nacelles of the rear blocks it would act as a brake. This system would have more utility than just for ship engines, it could be used for cargo platforms and railways systems with slight modifications, or slight constraints.

Masahiro sat to his desk, once more, and began sketching through various platforms that could utilize this type of engine and how practical they were. Truly they would be great, but the battery or generator requirement would be offsetting.
