Deep in the wilds of the Land of Fangs lie a village. Fairly normal looking, and fairly nice in fact. Among the village lived only one kind of person, Kemono Shinzo. A clan known as the Nekonokami have lived here for what likely has been thousands of years. A clan of people whom had the traits of a cat and could turn into cats themselves. They were a smart and resourceful type of clan, they did not restrict themselves to a small amount of people. They accepted many of their kind from all sorts of places into the clan. Families joined and left quite often.
This particular day was nice, the sun shone through the heavy treetops and a woman with pure white hair looked up towards the roof of green as she slowly walked out of the village. A smile on her face as she was followed by her three children. Her plans? Head out into the forest and gather some herbs and the like for medicines and perhaps a little bit of flavoring for their meals for tonight. It wasn't a particularly special day but she had her children with her so she was happy. Along with them had come another from the clan as well, another kid perhaps a two or three years older than the three children that accompanied their mother.
This child simply wished to know what things to collect when looking to make spicy foods. Of course it'd also be nice for the triplets to have someone to talk to aside from her outside of the area of their village if they wanted.
Akari held her mother's right hand, skipping along as they went into the forest. The girl smiled as she skipped, humming a slight tune to herself. "Mommy, can we go down to the lake today? I wanna play in the lake." The little girl said to her mother in her gentle voice. "If not, I guess that's okay...." The girl would continue, looking down almost as if she was already disappointed at the prospect of not being allowed to have some time at the lake.
Asa was always excited to leave the village, it was like it was his time to be away from all the stuffy adults who just wanted to train and worried about everything all the time. A big smile plastered on his cat-like face, much more cat-like than his siblings. His sister asked about going to the lake, Asa himself knew there were some interesting plants around the lakes and jumped up to where his mother and sister were. "Yeah Mommy! The lake!" He in an excited and ready manner. "The plants there taste good too!" He tried to convince his mother the lake was a good idea.
Unlike her other two siblings, Hime would be latched onto her mother's side for the entire trip, her steps far more cautious and worrisome than what Asa or Akari would be doing. Akari asked about going to the lake, to which Asa would be fully for as his eyes were filled with excitement at the prospect. Each child gave their approval before Hime spoke up as well, her ears twitching while puffing her cheeks up. "The lake sounds nice." she said in agreement. "I wanted to see the froggies again...."

The mother of the children smiled and laughed warmly. Of course they wanted to go to the lake, and they all back each other up so quickly about it too. She hoped they would stay close enough to back each other up through their entire lives. "Yes dears, we can go to the lake." She said to them, the other figure following behind didn't particularly argue against it. They simply followed along with the younger ones and their mother as well.
The woman of pure white hair would make her way along through the terrain of the forest with ease. Her children did not serve as a hindrance to her as she cut through vines and brushes. Every so often stopping at a tree and grabbing something growing below it. It wouldn't be long before they made it out to the large fresh water lake. Not only was this where their clan got their water, but other animals of the area were on the sides of the lake drinking from it. Herbs grew along the edges that could be used for quite a few things as well. "We're at the lake dears, go ahead have fun while mommy gets what she needs okay?" She would say to them.
Akari became visibly excited when her mother said they were going to be going to the lake. "Yay! The lake!" Akari exclaimed, a bright smile on her face. As the group headed towards the lake, Akari couldn't help but skip faster to get to the lake quicker. Once at the lake, she would take off towards the shore upon her mother releasing them to play. "Asa! Hime! I think the frogs were over here last time!" The girl would shout as she carefully dipped her toes into the water to test how cold it was.
