Mayumi used a small brush to paint the edges of the underside of her favourite bento box, drawing tiny seals with an odd yellow ointment. She wore a pair of glasses with an attached magnifier to assist in her work, her younger slightly extended between her teeth in concentration. As she went the seals would dry behind the brush rather quickly, turning from yellow to a more orangish shade, which when she finished applying to the lid she would apply more to the edge of the actual container part of said box. The end result was a Bento that would keep the food at the temperature it from when packed into the box.

Again she painted the inside of the lid of a brand new Bento box. This box what for Sadayo and not herself, deciding that her new boss would appreciate the novelty. Edging the inside of the container and the lid didn’t take nearly as long as the first time, a simple projected in comparison at this point. Upon completion Mayumi would wait half an hour before packing it with food for the day... even if it was for Sadayo, she felt the need to break it in

Yet again Mayumi was painting away with coloured paste that was created from obscure plants and materials. The paste a light blue in colour that slowly turned pale enough to almost be white a few minutes after drying. The container would begin to cool down as she worked, each little seal working separately unlike the heat ones which required both the lid and the container to be written on and the box closed to function. Mayumi didn’t actually like working with this substance as it had an unpleasant scent and so she work wearing a dusk mask.

Painting a secondary array of freezing seals for a second cooling box was almost undoable. Why this might be was Mayumi having the container open so long she almost forgot that it dried very quickly when exposed to air, the girl forced to spend a while salvaging it. The tips of her fingers were chilled compared to the rest of her body and it was mildly distracting, slowing down the writing process by a good margin. Still Mayumi persisted and after about two hours she could happily close the second container, hoping Sadayo would also enjoy it.

Why was she attempting to write what felt like microscopic penmanship with a bush along the edge of a glasses lens? It was because if she did so correctly then she could make these normal clear glasses she sometimes used for reading or fashion to counter sunlight like actual shades. Why this and not sunglasses, because she didn’t want to look entirely like the matrix, her fashion style bordering on edgy and that wasn’t the goal. The brush she use looked like it was to allow a lego piece to perform calligraphy, which meant that she was having a nightmare of a time not screwing up. Still at the end of the day and seven lenses Mayumi managed to get one functional pair that made the cut, Deciding she didn’t want to put in any more effort on this endeavour.

Mayumi gave a long sigh as she slowly created the outline of a seal on a specialized piece of paper. Around her various containers with all sorts of ingredients in all shapes, sizes or states. Right now she used an off blue liquid that was dark yet gave off a brighter sheen than it should normally allow. The reason being was this ointment was specially infused with concentrate amounts of Mayumis chakra, a process that took weeks to get two whole containers the size of pill bottles... needless to say it was a costly ingredient that she would be applying to her own skin.
With great costs come great rewards however and Mayumis patience and delayed gratification was to be richly rewarded. Now she had finish the seal she would take a different container with nearly clear sand like dust that was near translucent, pouring it over the paper seal and patting it down gently. Giving a light grimace Mayumi would carefully lift the paper and placed it again the back of her calf, the paper sticking in place due to the ingredients used. The full burning sensation would flare up a minute or so after being applied, this pain was due to the seal being slowly and permanently applied beneath her skin by this process, though the seal would take weeks to heal over.

Again Mayumi would access one of the condensed chakra essence based sealing ink that was used as part of the process to augment chakra flow. Painting the paste in thin layers into the appropriate outline for the seal for the second time. It was a simple process if you spent the time to prepare the ingredients correctly, which was honesty the hardest part besides putting up with the pain of the seal imprinting. The brush gently glided, gripped between her thumb, fore and middle finger of her left had. The only sound was the light scratch of the brush on paper and the occasional rustle of Mayumi shifting her weight for comfort or to get a better angle.
After finishing the outlines she would need to fill them in, this part less tedious but still requiring a good amount of effort. She would stop half way through and wipe her brow, feeling herself sweating and heating up as a side effect of the first augmenting seal on her right leg. Mayumi would take a short break, drinking some water and eating an orange to have a snack and hydrate/cool herself off, not wanting to eat much more and end out being sick. From there she would pour the crystals atop the seal and spread them across its inner workings, waiting for it to stick before adding the seal to her right leg.

To create a third seal on the same day would be a mistaken as Mayumis first leg was not comfortable and the right was beginning to follow. So instead Mayumi would would on finishes the ingredients to continue making these, it taking a vile an application. Collecting another vile that was full of similar looking liquid, although it was a lot darker and lacked the same brilliant glow as the original. Rising to her feet slowly as the discomfort was totally limiting her mobility slightly, Mayumi would “walk” across the room and collect a scroll from her workshops counter and bring it back to the desk she was working at.
Mayumi would lean over the table and clear space for the scroll carefully, not being the reckless sort that would just shove things to the side. In other words she became distracted and because putting everything in her workshop she wasn’t using, where it was meant to be as opposed to on her desk. Finally after fifteen or so minutes she had sorted a reasonable amount of clutter and was able to open up the scroll with nothing impeding it. Mayumi would stretch her arms and contemplate having a snack, deciding against it as she didn’t feel great and would prefer eating after draining her chakra reserves.
Sitting back down on the edge of her chair the blonde woman would look over the scroll and turn it so it was positioned correctly. All across the scroll was a complex set of lines and markings that spelled out a very intricate seal, the age of the paper implying it might be an old specialized tool for this purpose that was uncommon to find these days. The purpose was to focus the chakra she channeled into it toward the centre, saturating whatever sits in the middle with said chakra, more complex affects could be gained if she added other inscriptions upon the object being used but right now she was doing one of the most basic aspects. Mayumi would remove her fingerless gloves and place a hand on either side of the scroll, upon marked locations and would clear her throat, straighten up and concentrate.
It took a moment before the lines of the scroll around her hands would slowly being to glow blue. This was of coarse due to her chakra which followed said lines like water along a slight grove or indent, the pattern changing the properties of the chakra mildly as it went. Despite how it might look as the lines would slowly spread, Mayumi was actually pouring a lot of chakra into the scroll, enough to knock a basic genin out as the requirements here were surprisingly steep. Sweat began to form on her face as the color continued to loom ever closer to the container in the centre, the sound of her breathe intensifying at the final sprint before the light finally struck the container and amplified its glow, causing it to lighten up slightly with a spiralling swirl forming on the liquids surface. Mayumi would remove her hands at this point and almost fall sideways in doing so, learning that her chakra network benign mucked about with made this a lot more tasking, though she was a step closer to completing her third vile.
