Additional note: Athena is the original mother of Princess Mercury, having given birth to her without laying with Hermes, her biological father. She, however, used her own ovum, spliced her DNA with that of Pallas (her former fiancé who was killed long, long ago, and fertilized it with one of Hermes' gametes. From then on, Athena carried Mercury to term, gave birth, and raised her to be a powerful Sailor Guardian, a loyal vassal to Princess Serenity (daughter to Queen Serenity), and a masterful tactician like she and Pallas were before her. Athena never died during the Fall of Silver Millennium and so retains all of her memories, knowledge, and abilities gained from many, many Human lifetimes worth of experience.
