Well thats all that I can think of right now. Why do people think they are Emo?

I actually really like Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Seether and Evanescence,
but I would never call them emo.
Fall Out Boy is like... a pop punk/rock.
Linkin Park is hard rock/metal
Seether I find is borderline metal.
and Evanescene is as well, borderline metal.

Fall Out Boy is like... a pop rock.
Linkin Park is Nu-Metal
Seether I find is Nu-Metal.
and Evanescene is as well, Nu-Metal.

I think a lot of bands that are 'changing' so more people would listen to them are considered posers, there are a few exceptions.

I know your thinking 'well, every band changes with every new CD and s**t' but I'm talking about like Hawtorne Heights and things.

They 'used' to be really good but now there just trying to be Emo so people listen to them.

I also think labelling bands really depends on the lyrics, the music can be eally happy but the lyrics so meaningful.

Now, how many songs do you see like that now-a-days?

Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, etc.

But I wouldn't call them poser.

Their not poser and thier not emo! they are just general rock! NOT emo!

2. Blink 182 is not even around anymore so they cannot be poser!
3. linkin Park is weird, NOT poser!(but I love them!)

There is no such thing as "poser" bands. They are what they are. You might want to be careful what bands you put up there you could end up unsulting someone. scream
Seether doesn't think that they are emo, they know that they are metal. Evanescence is a combo of metal/rock/emo. Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, and Good Charlote are more punk than anything.

i agree with everything he said.

but i'd like to add. a lot of people think MCR are posers just because they got really popular among what most would consider the 'poser emo kids'. i've loved them for years, and like them even more with their newest cd. and with an exception of a few songs, they are really awesome (in MY oppinion, not everyone has to like them), and i wouldn't clasify them as 'emo' music either... just music a lot of 'emo' people listen to. please dont call them posers...

the unedited versions of there songs are great.
but thats how most bands are.

Linkin Park isn't a poser band. Anyone who's heard even one of their songs who know that. The rest are posers though. (Especially YellowCard)
