Hehe good question. It means Bring Up My Post and people do it on fast moving forums so their thread stays on the front page, so more people see it. We don't have to do it here or in the art forum, because they move slow enough that most of the recent topics stay on the front page. xd

From my experience, bumping and posting have the same effect. What I mean is, you aren't limted to just "bump." If you want to get creative about it (like in someone's quest thread), you can. Any post acts as a bump, because all new posts are sent to the top of the forum.

Very true! I forgot to clarify that... any time you post it brings the thread up, so it is better to start or continue a conversation in order to move the thread up. smile

Point of clarification - the term "spam" comes from the Monty Python skit concerning Spam - the "meat" product. During the sketch, there's a group of vikings (don't ask) at a table, and every time that the other characters refer to spam, the vikings sing a little song about spam, and won't stop the spam - hence the term for annoying, unending, repetitive email. Useless fact for you.

Spam spam spam. Spam eggs and spam. Spam spam spam and spam. But I don't like spam. Spam spam spam... hehe. Sorry. I love that skit.

I personally like to tell a little story if I'm going to do continuous bumping.
There once was a girl named Haruna...
Who had a brain the size of a walnut, and a chest the size of a watermelon...
And so on and so forth...
