Image Watermarking

I'm looking for some freeware that will allow me to add visual watermarks to my images. Any suggestions?

if you're on a PC I've heard that uMark Lite is fairly ok. No good reco's I've found for Mac. I've not used it personally - I just put them in with Photoshop.

a google search for freeware and watermark brought up a craptonne of options.

Hmm....how do you put them, in Photoshop?

Just put whatever it is you want to watermark in its own layer over the image and turn down its opacity, so the watermark is visible but the image can still be seen underneath 3nodding

Do you think that technique could work with Paint.NET, as well?

if it suppprts layers and some sort of layer blending styles - sure

I use PhotoImpact 6.0 for most of my photo editing because to me Photoshop is a bit to complicated.
