I actually am a rather good cook. I make a sherried yam dish that has yet to become leftovers mrgreen and vegetable soup that little kids will eat. Mom says that when I use curry I over do it a tad though, but then she eats raw garlic xp

Speaking of cooking, I made a couple hundred (actually, it was probably more like a thousand) Christmas cookies for my friend last year - um yeah, he was in training and said that a "sharing policy" was in effect for goodies and I wanted to make sure that he got at least some of the cookies - and apparently as a result I got about 4 offers of marriage. But, I'm inclined to think that a bunch of guys that just got out of boot camp aren't that great a judge of baking.
