this is a region where I can see why people think it would work, and there does seem to be some evidence that it does, but I'm not really a follower in it's belief.
What's your opinion? Maybe you have a favourite type. telepathic, Telekinetic, telempathic or maybe just a branch of one of these, maybe something completely new. biggrin
Say what you think, and maybe how you think it can be done.

Well, with telepathy, the idea behind it could work, we just cannot do it with our own brains at the moment.
The brain uses electrical currents to work. Now, if there was enough energy and perhaps a converter, it would be possible to create a type of electrical field that could effect people within a certain distance. Then, form this, it could be possible for other brains to pick up the pattern of the elctrical field and this would then be used to transport messages and the like.
Also, with our current technology, it is possible to be telepathic with the use of an implant. This could be set up for long distance telepathy, or only during bodily contact.
As for telekinetics, I have no idea....

While I don't believe any of you can do it my opinion on it, on how it works is that it's mental manipulation. Magic and basically anything spiffy done like magic, psionics and all of that are just mental manipulation. Manipulate the elements, properties of the world on a physical and at times mental level and eveb rarer spiritual level.

Parapsychology and Psionics isn't exactly a religion, but people can get just as obsessive. Magick and Psionics, I believe are slightly different. Magick is asking a deity for help to carry out your spell. When you cast a spell, you shouldn't think about it. But, with psionics, it is pure manipulation. Whether it is done consciously or unconsciously. With telepathy, and anything doing with knowing the future, past, or present, is tapping into the universe, where everything flows. With telekinesis, some people believe that they are manipulating the EM fields around the moving object. Well, that's all I will do. I may have missed some things but, this is a *very* broad field. And besides, ghosts and spirits also fall into Parapsychology.

Hmm... Maybe I can have some fun with this. I'm pretty sure the school science fair is coming up soon. Perhaps I could test telekinetics in an expiriment with controlled variables. I could easily perfom the expirement since I have expirience in TK. I'm pretty sure what the result will be but if I were to get some solid evidence, such as varied results when using and when not using. My best bet would be the coin toss. By using TK, I can will the coin to land on heads, rather than tails. I've done an informal test and managed to get the coin to land on heads 36 times and on tails only 14 times. When the science fair does come, I'll be sure to post the results here.

It's possible. How it's done can't be catalouged by science right now.
I don't believe that we have the instruments necessary to measure the forces involved. Telekinesis, telepathy, empathy: I've done all of them. It just takes practice.
