multiple infections? ugh!

so i got my lip done a while ago and haven't been worried since, but i just got a nasty bout of strep throat and since then my piercing's been extremely irritated and infected. as if strep weren't enough, right?

the doc put me on antibiotics but i'm wondering, will they help the piercing too or is strep close to a puncture wound too much to take? i wouldn't want to take it out while it's infected, since the scarring (in my case) would be awful. but if it's critical, i would - anyone know anything about this?

How old is the piercing? If it's healed it's not that big of a deal since you're taking antibiotics, which will help clear up both the infections. If it's healing still, it'll put some stress on your immune system since it's trying to fight off an infection and heal a piercing.

As long as you're taking antibiotics, you should be fine. I don't think there's much else you can do besides take care of yourself and get healthy. Hope you get well soon.
