Well, I've made a graphics resource site with all sorts of graphics goodness. It's World of Darkness themed (a tabletop RPG world). I'd appreciate any comments or criticisms on it, and I'm specifically looking for ideas on how to make nicer navigation... I always have trouble with it _-_ Thank you in advance! whee

EDIT:... I am... a total moron ^_^;;; Good god. Link:

unusal choice of colors but a nice one
good bg and "rust" borders
is readlble, clean - nothing bad to say about it...

one personal view: the top is rust, the bottom is clean - it doesn't fit too much

p.s. maybe the bg under the menu could be a tad lighter to improve readability... - not really a big thing

Good site. Like the unique colors. I only have a couple of crits.

First of all, your site is too narrow. I have a 1280x960 resolution for a reason, and I want to use it. So, expand your main content div to the left. If you can think of it, another div layer on the other side of the navigation would be nice. It shouldn't be impossible to figure out, and if you want, I can help you -- I've done this kind of thing before.

Secondly, continue that lovely ragged-edge type of deal along the sides of the menus. It shouldn't be too hard with your current setup, all you really have to do is make a repeating ragged-edge patten instead of a straight line. This unifies the website and makes everyone happy.

Lastly, make your links change on mouseOver. Normally I don't recommend this kind of behavior, but with the simplicity of your layout and number of text links you have, I think it would be a nice addition. I like knowing which link my mouse is over without having to guess anything, so either change the color or make a box around it or some other nifty thing. domokun

Oh, and what's the dragon and why is that number above him there? Is it a counter? o_O

Most of the things I can think of have been said, but I do really like the idea! With those changes it will look really great 3nodding

For the width thing, its usually a good idea to make your site fit width-ways at 800x600 res, without horizontal scrolling, or make it fluid width. You have a lot more space available to you, and it looks strange at larger resolutions if you only use a small portion of it.

I think some kind of gradient or subtle pattern tiled on the background would look nice... its a bit too clean as it is.

Oooh, the counter says 147. One of the numbers that I am rather fond of.
Everyone's already said the stuff I would have said about the site - I'll add to the suggestion of gradient or subtle pattern tiled on background. Currently, the site is quite dialup-friendly. Might want to keep it that way, so I'll suggest a tiled pattern similar to the loopy ribbon-like thing at the top of the main yellow 'panel' (dunno what to call it). Personally, I like the plain background, since it works well with the fancier top rust things.

And now I'm going to nitpick on your spelling and grammar... save you from having to go through all of it, I guess. sweatdrop

Wallpapers
Just some wallpapers, just for kicks
...
Enjoy for your desktops, but please to not redistribute them!I might

The word "just" so many times... just... sounds odd. (Yes, I know that was horrible. I couldn't resist. xp )
Second line, I think you mean 'do not'. Might want a space between !I as well.

Buttons
your can use
...
I will deem that your are redistribuing my work!

"you", not "your" in the first line
"you're" or "you are" rather than "your are"
"redistributing", not "redistribuing"

(Just out of curiosity, since I haven't made buttons before.. can I do a few for you to put up?)

Banners
I plomise!

"promise"

If you start getting more spam from revealing your email on the site, consider changing @ and . to "AT" and "DOT". Or something. Just a suggestion.

Thank you for the nitpick, I will go correct that ^_^ Honestly, I really do have good grammar and spelling <_< I just hate editing, so thank you for helping whee Your first and last corrections, though, I will not change because that is exactly how I intended them to be written ^_^ ("plomise" is a reference to an episode of "That 70's Show" ninja )

I currently do not get any spam from putting my e-mail on my site... I don't get any e-mails at all, really sweatdrop But thank you once again for your suggestions!

Well, most everyone said what needs to be said.

Personally, I don't mind thin websites, and when done well, its just as good as thicker websites. This one is done pretty well, and I don't mind its width. However, I'm only on 1024x768, so its different for me. As long as I don't have to constantly scroll to read one post and its easy to navigate, a thin site is fine.

Great work with texturing and good use of colors. Just to repeat those above me, continue the nice design on to the rest of your plain website blaugh .

Keep up the work smile
