--Resident Evil 1.5--

General Information:
As we all know and heard, Resident Evil 1.5 was the original Resident Evil 2. The game was set for release in March 1997. Capcom decided to scrape the project at almost completion (70-80%). The reason why? Capcom felt like the game played too much like the first Resident Evil. So when we look at the final version compared to the beta version of Resident Evil 2, much of the elements were kept and scrapped. Weapons were changed slightly along with different style of enemies.

Leon Kennedy was kept in the final version, but Elza Walker was later changed to Claire Redfield. The only difference between the characters is, Elza had no connection to Chris Redfield, which really opened up the story in the series. Most of the minors characters who were in RE 1.5, were kept in the final version, such as Sherry Birkin, Annette Birkin, William Birkin, Marvin Branagh, Chief Brian Irons, and John Kendo. Ada was also in the beta version but as the name Linda. Apparently she was working for Umbrella.

The enemies were also varied drastically along with weapons and armor. The big surprise was the hand-grenades and the different automatic weapons. Safety vest were a key part of survival where you could equip certain vest to decrease the effect of an attack. They also were great for holding more ammo and items. The enemies as mentioned before were different, more variety of zombies; fast skinny and fat, man spider monster, and even a infected gorilla.

As for Resident Evil 1.5, the game was completely different than the final version, backgrounds were very different along with much of the story. Many of fans has alway asked the big question. Will we ever see the game hit the light of day?

General Information:
Officially announced in 2001, Resident Evil 4 underwent a long development period in which three proposed versions of the game were discarded by the developers before the finished product was released in 2005. An earlier attempt at developing Resident Evil 4 was made from 1998 to 2000 for the PlayStation 2, with Resident Evil 2 director Hideki Kamiya leading the project. The first year was primarily spent on research of what the project would be, and included a trip to Spain for the development staff to study Spanish architecture. The first character designs were made. The direction that the project took was considered too much of a departure from the traditional Resident Evil style and the resulting game was revamped and released as Devil May Cry in 2001. The development of Resident Evil 4 got its official start in 2001 for the GameCube as part of an exclusivity agreement between Capcom and Nintendo. The first proposed version, dubbed the Fog Version, was unveiled in the Tokyo Game Show in 2002 and had Hiroshi Shibata, the background designer for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, attached to the project. This version's premise featured Leon infiltrating Umbrella's headquarters in Europe, getting infected by the Progenitor Virus and fighting fog-like creatures. One of the most notable areas shown in this version was a flying airship; however, Capcom scrapped the second beta of Resident Evil 4 quietly and created a new version without any outside announcement.
After the Fog Version came the Hooked Man Version. First shown at the E3 in 2003, this version was set in a haunted mansion and featured Leon fighting what appeared to be paranormal enemies, such as medieval suits of armor and living dolls. The most notable enemy in this version was the aforementioned Hooked Man, who was intended to be a recurring enemy in the game, along the lines of the role of the Nemesis. Source: Resident Evil Wiki

--Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles--

Story:
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is a brand new game in the Resident Evil franchise, with familiar locales from the entire series. This action/shooter hybrid reveals the backstory behind the fall of the Umbrella Corporation by exploring locations from Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3 as well as new never-before-seen locations, such as Umbrella’s stronghold. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles combines first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies to create an entirely new Resident Evil experience that could only be delivered on the Wii.

Scenarios:
Train Derailment (1998 Jul)
--The first scenario chronicles the original outbreak of the T-virus in the Arklay Mountains (as portrayed in Resident Evil 0). Rebecca Chambers, a S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team members, forms an unlikely alliance with a convicted felon who was en route to his own execution before his convoy ran into some unexpected trouble. Like many of the characters that make up this drama, Billy Coen is not who he appears.

Beginnings (1998 Jul)
--In the opening cinematic, Wesker makes it clear that he is working for Umbrella, at least for the time being. He also reveals the real reason that S.T.A.R.S. was called into the area: to test the T-virus against trained human combatants.
As he sets out to lure the unsuspecting team to its demise, the Umbrella scientist decides the evidence must be destroyed. We now know who activates the Management Training Facility's self-destruct mechanism during Rebecca and Billy's final battle with the Queen Leech.

Nightmare (1998 Jul)
--While waiting near the mansion for the rest of Bravo Team, Rebecca falls asleep and dreams of a large snake, an omen of wicked things to come. She is awakened by Richard, and the two set off to find someplace safe to hole up.

The Mansion Incident (1998 Jul)
--While investigating the disappearance of the Bravo Team, the Alpha Team comes under attack by a pack of Cerberus.
They flee to a nearby mansion where they soon learn that this is much more than a search and rescue operation.

Rebirth (1998 Jul)
--Once awake, Wesker attempts to download files from Umbrella's mainframe, but Red Queen, the program in charge of asset security, restricted his access. Enraged, he focuses instead on getting out before it's too late.

Raccoon's Destruction (1998 Sep)
--Once again, Jill is caught in the middle of a nightmare, but this time it's on a much larger scale. As she's overwhelmed, all seems lost. Enter Umbrella agent Carlos Oliveira. Proficient with the use of submachine guns, Carlos makes short work of the attacking zombies. The immediate threat eliminated, Carlos and Jill set off to reach the rescue chopper.

Death's Door (1998 Sep)
--Ada receives a transmission from her partner, Wesker, who is very displeased with her. However, Ada has a sample of the G-virus, a strain more powerful than the T-virus that has caused all of the mayhem in the Arklay Mountains and surrounding areas. Wesker, who desires the sample, offers Ada an escape route, but time is short.

Fourth Survivor (1998 Sep)
--Hunk has acquired a sample of the G-virus, as ordered, and is the only survivor from his team. Now he must quickly find his way to the roof of the R.P.D. and escape in a helicopter before the city is eradicated.

Umbrella's End (2003 Feb)
--Once again, Jill and Chris find themselves in the middle of another Umbrella plot. But this time, their involvement is consensual. As part of an anti-bio-weapon strike force, they are well aware of the danger they are dropping into, and of the possibility of a new Umbrella B.O.W.

Dark Legacy (2003 Feb)
--Wesker infiltrates the Umbrella manufacturing facility to complete the plan he's been working toward since he first began secondary testing on exposure to the T-virus in 1983. Meanwhile, Sergei unleashes his store of B.O.W.s on the employees of the facility to destroy any evidence of Umbrella's wrong-doing. He also instructs Red Queen to activate Talos, Umbrella's newest experiment and crown jewel.
