[Wingardia] No. 313 - Rin's Room.

Keiichi watched her walk into the bathroom and close the door then he looked back in front of him. He wasn't really supposed to be with anyone, he was supposed to be finding Shinju, but he hadn't seen him since that night so long ago as it seemed. The only thing Kei had done for the first few weeks he was at Ria was search for Shinju, but there was no sight of him! It had really made Kei upset so he had gone into his studies since then, he didn't even really talk to the students more then nessary. Also some of the students were a lot more indimdated of him without the 'fluff factor' as one of Shinju's friends called Shinju.

Kei smiled slightly and then stood up streatching, it wasn't really appropiate to stand around shirtless, and it might make her feel uncomfortable. He never understood why but a lot of girls were like that when he was shirtless, and it just made him feel even worse. He settled on putting the shirt on again though he would need to take a shower and change at his own dorm later today. He then glanced around the room walking around his fingers traced along the pure black walls.

Why was everything so bleak? If shinju was here then he wouldn't last a minute, he was a little afraid of the dark, while Kei was never really afraid of anything but hurting people. He couldn't stand that in the least bit, he didn't like the dark, but could stand it, he made a choice and opened the blinds but kept the curtains on over them. So the room was a little brighter but not to the hurting of the eyes point and then sat down again waiting for her to come out.

Rin finished washing all the blood away and turned off the water, standing for a moment as water dripped off of her. Then she very slowly pulled open the shower's curtains and stepped out, snatching up a towel and drying herself with it. She placed it over her head and rubbed at her hair a bit, leaving it there as she began dressing. She put on her underwear first, of course, and then pulled on a ruffled black skirt that went almost to her knees. Bending down, she reached into one of the drawers under the sink and pulled out a roll of bandages.

She quickly wrapped it around her chest and back, tying it deftly from years of practice. She always seemed to be hurting herself, and to keep it secret as much as she chould, she'd learned to treat herself for the most part. She hadn't been able to this time though, because there were others around when it happened, adding to the confusion. Once she'd finished, she quickly wrapped each of her hands, from her wrist to her fingertips, and finally slipped on a black sleeveless shirt. She didn't want a lot of cloth pressing down on the sensitive skin and for this reason, she didn't put on any gloves either. Maybe later she would, once they'd healed a bit more, so she could hide the bandages.

She left her slightly damp hair down as she slowly opened the door and peeked out, noting that Kei was still sitting there. She frowned to herself, wondering if he really had time to be wasting here with her, and then moved into the room, shutting the bathroom door behind her again. For a moment she was silent, just watching him, and then she tilted her head to one side. "Do you need that dress back?" she asked, wondering where he'd gotten the pink outfit from.

Keiichi turned around when Rin walked into the room and looked her over, she was so much better then when he saw yesturday in the hospital. This made him utterly glad since he was worried if some of the marks would dissapear. Then he realized that she must have had to do the bandages herself and felt bad, but at least she didn't seem to mind that much. However now that she was better and could walk on her own...would she need him? He didn't really have a reason to stay anymore, not that he wanted to leave, but maybe he ought to.

Everything was really confusing and it was just spinning around in his mind till she asked if he need the dress back. He shook his head, the lady he borrowed it from had given it to him, it seemed her daughter didn't much like the color pink either. Shinju would be devastaed. He stood in silence for a moment, the situtation wasn't really akward more over just confusing. He waited for her to speak again, he needed or rather wanted a reason to stay, he really didn't want to leave yet, she was the first sort of friend he had since Shinju, and he didn't want to leave her like that.

Rin watched him quietly, shifting slightly in the silence that had filled the room. Her eyes flicked for a second to the window, and the blinds he'd shifted slightly, but she didn't say anything. Actually, she didn't care too much, so it was fine. She saw him shake his head and shrugged slightly, holding back a wince as she did, and glanced once more towards the bathroom. The dress had been discarded on the floor, just sitting there. Then she glanced back at Kei and to the door.

"...I want to explore the campus," she said suddenly, breaking the silence. "Starting with the woods." She began moving towards the door and then paused, hand upon the handle as she glanced at him again. "You can... come if you want," she said flatly, sounding like she didn't care at all either way. Yet, her eyes gave away that she actually wouldn't mind the company. As if realizing this, she turned quickly and stared fixedly at the door, waiting for a response. Why exactly was it she wanted him to come? She had no idea... She'd never minded being alone before, had she?

Keiichi was glad that she broke the silence, it seems to spread so quickly and stay sometimes leaving no hint of spark in conversation. He watched her walk to the door, his mood down due to the fact that she hadn't invited him until she said that he could come. He could tell that she was just as confused as he was from wanting someone to stay but not knowing how to say it. He smiled broadly and nodded his head, he walked over to the pink dress and picked it up walking back over to her.

"So...you don't like pink I'm assuming?" he asked almost laughing as he held the dress out in a show-off-y-way and then disgurared it again in her room. He closed the door behind her and then wrapped his arm around her as they walked "Let's go to the bell tower" he said. He was surprised that he was speaking as much as he was but it wasn't over the top. More then anything he just wanted to see her smile, he saw the faintness of it sometimes but it never lasted long enough to his liking.

Kei walked into Kim's room after using the key that he had gotten from the bag of clothing. He had ended up carrying her the way there because even though he knew she was protesting she needed some help. If anyone had been standing in the room when they saw them enter, it might look as if he was carrying his bride into his room on their wedding night. It was doubtful that either of them noticed this, and he walked over to her bed and set her down.

"I need a nap...I'm sorry about this I would rather explore more of the campus" he said with a sigh. He sat down on the bed and streatched, "I'll sleep on the floor, I just need a pillow, go ahead and change" he said smiling as he rested his back against the wall. Her dark room didn't seem as dark as usual, and it seemed like a good place to nap actually.

Rin had her arms folded across her chest, a frown upon her lips. She really did feel helpless being carried around like this, but she didn't protest since she knew she would have slowed them down horribly if she had continued walking on her own. It just felt odd being carried everywhere. she didn't think she'd ever get used to it. But surely it wouldn't continue on long enough for her to, right? He'd get tired of her soon enough. She pushed the thought away though, finding that it made her sad, for some reason.

She snapped back to reality as she was set upon her bed once more, and looked over at him as he sat down on the bed next to her. For a moment she simply stared, and then she slowly nodded her head. "It's fine," she mumbled. "I'm... tired too." But she pushed herself up a moment later and walked slowly towards her closet, the towel still held around herself. She entered and closed the door, turning on that same purple light, and picked out some slightly baggy black pants again, holding them in place with a black belt decorated with silver patterns. She stood on her toes, reaching up to a high shelf and fished around until her hand grabbed hold of something.

She had a roll of bandages in every room, tucked away in some place or another, because she never knew when she would be taken over, or where she'd end up. If she needed bandages quickly, she wouldn't wawnt to find herself unable to move herself to the bathroom. So she quickly rewrapped her hands and chest, and then she pulled out another black tank top and carefully slipped it on. She turned around in front of the mirror that hung on the back of the door, nodded once, and slipped back into the main room. She stood in place for a moment and then trudged forward to the bed, letting herself fall backwards upon it, hands folded across her stomach.

Kei watched her come back out, it seemed like all she ever wore was black, he had and odd urge to run into her closet and see if there were any other colored clothing. He resisted. The color did look good on her but she didn't fit it he thought, she was brighter then black, even if she didn't know it. He looked at her as she fell back onto the bed, her bandages that were showing on her arm looked to be new. They really ought to stop getting into danger so much, it would just lead to way too many bandages bought.

He laid down next to her and wrapped his arms around her as he cuddled a bit into her. He closed his eyes and soon found himself alseep, this time the dreams proved to be better, hopefully a well rested nap would follow.

Rin stared blankly at the ceiling, lying flat upon her back. She would have preferred to sleep on her stomach, but her wound wound not permit it. Sighing, she closed her eyes, but they jerked back open again when she felt the bed next to her sink, followed by arms wrapping around her. She turned her head to face him, eyes widened, only to find he'd already fallen asleep. "...why?" she whispered faintly. She seemed to be asking herself that a lot lately, but she still couldn't find an answer.

She shifted a bit, feeling awkward. But gradually she let her eyes close as well, and soon drifted into sleep. One of her hands moved up very slowly, and lightly placed itself upon his arm. There was no holding or gripping, it just rested there softly.

"KAI-CHAN!!!!!!!" A short boy with inoccent locks of bright blonde hair scremed cutely. Shinju batted his bright blue eyes as he waited for his sleeping cousing to wake up. Truth be told Shinju wasn't all that younger then Kaichii but he acted way yonger, and it still worked for him quite well. Shinju had been stuck in the protection of some high class manor, he had tried for weeks to let them go see Kai but they insited that he was 'dangerous'. Shinju knew the truth, finally he had broken out and come to find Kai himself, he asked around and was able to find out where Kai was, how he got in would probley always be a mystery.

Kaichii sat up with a start, he heard Shinju's familar cry and he quickly put his hand over Shinju's mouth in effort to keep Rin from waking up. He wasn't sure why his cousin was here so suddenly but he was glad he was, he had been waiting. He glanced over at Rin who was still sleeping and skifully climbed out of bed, only to be tackled to the ground by Shinju moments later.

Rin wrinkled her nose in her sleep, hearing the sound of the boy's yelling but not quite realizing what it was. She mumbled something under her breath as her fingers gripped the sheets she was lying upon. She was having a dream, like she often did. The queen was in it, as she often was. And the queen was abusing her, like usual. Rin was back in the black room, huddled in a corner with her legs drawn to her chest and her chin set upon her knees. Her eyes were blank, staring straight ahead without emotion. The queen just smirked, going on about how Rin would always be alone... Never would anything turn out the way she wanted.. Wouldn't she rather just end things now...?

Rin hugged her knees more tightly, face burried in them now as she whispered small reassurances to herself. Things would work out. She was making friends. They were real friends. They wouldn't leave her this time!

And then her entire body gave a small jolt, as her eyes snapped open. She started straight ahead for a few seconds, hand moving over automatically. Her eyes widened further when she realized there was no one beside her anymore. For some reason, that discovery brought with it a sudden wave of terror. But then she turned her head, blinking a couple times as she saw Kei, but another boy as well. She just stared in absolute confusion, first wondering who he was, and then asking herself how the hell he managed to get in.

Shinju blinked as his landed upon a girl with matted violet hair, she had a lovely face, but then he saw it. It was that awful color that he couldn't stand, even to think about it made him cringe..black. He had never gotten over his fear of the color, he had to look away for a minute, but then his eyes grew wide. THE ENTIRE ROOM WAS COVERED IN BLACK! He seriously had never been in a worse situation in his life, he had to look to his stuffed bear in his hands. It was tie-dyed for the moment since he had lost his favorite animal, a lamb.

Kei didn't even notice Shinju's shocked look at all, he did start to wonder why he was being so quiet though, but he was more conserned about Rin who looked really confused. He rested a hand on her shoulder and blinked "Shinju, is my friend" he said simply pointing to him.

Rin continued staring, blinking once as she saw the kid's eyes go wide. Her head tilted as her confusion grew, and she pushed herself up to a half sitting position. Then her eyes shifted towards her shoulder and the hand that had been placed there, and finally to Kei's face. "....oh," she said after a pause, looking once more towards the other male. She blinked a couple times and then glanced around the room, as if to see what he was so bothered by. When she saw nothing she frowned and sat up fully, legs crossed as she leaned forward, placing her arms upon them to prop up her chin. "Is... something wrong?" she asked uncertainly.
