Cosplay help....(Makoto-san)

Hey!

There's a convention coming to St. Louis in March and I figured that since my hair is currently brown that I'd try to go as Makoto... but I dont' have the cash to get a senshi fuku or a sewing machine to make one... So I'm trying to find some of her normal outfits so that I can maybe find something cheaper at a store that will work....

I'm looking for some good pictures of Makoto Kino when she's not transformed as Sailor Jupiter and also NOT in her school uniform.

Can anyone help me? I wasn't sure what section to put this in so I just put it in the main... hope that's allright....

That's pretty much Makoto's character outfit. It looks pretty easy to make or buy. 'Specially since she's just wearing blue (denim) shorts.
You'd probably be easily recognisable by fans.

She wears dark green and pink or yellow, and has a ponytail with large green balled-ponytail holders (good luck finding those... they were HUGE in the late 80's/early 90's, but are rare now unless they're tiny and for little kids) and rose earrings, you'll be recognized as long as you stick to that pattern 3nodding

I'll probably try to find something along the lines of what was shown but if worst comes to worse I'll keep the green and pink thing in mind....I'll have to try hard to find hair ties like that though...XP maybe a vintage shop?

Yes, I feel downright elderly on Gaia sometimes. xD

As far as the fuku, I know it wouldn't nearly be as detailed as a custom made one but you could get a cheap leotard with an attached skirt. They come in tons of colors and you could find them if you have a dance shop around. Eh... your idea was probably better. lol

I'm looking to get a Minako costume sewn for me at some point... hopefully before halloween. ^.^
