Lee yelped out in pain as Neji delivered a final blow to Lee’s chest. Lee fell down from the shock and pain of the blow. Mei, on the side, ran over to him and helped him up.
“Oh my, Lee, are you okay? Can you still fight?” she questioned. She was always so worried when Lee fought this white-eyed boy. He never seemed to take it easy on Lee, like hurting him over and over was an enjoyable thing.
“Yes, I’m fine. I can still fight,” Lee said with a determined look on his beat face. Bruises, cuts, and scratches adorned his face. His nose was bleeding from a hard punch taken at the beginning of the fight, and a large, purple bruise on his right cheek that was swollen to a fairly large size. But Lee never knew when to give up. He probably didn’t even know how to.
“Come on Lee, you’re a mess, let me at least help you a bit. I’ll be your personal nurse,” she said with a smile. He looked back at her, then at Neji. His rival. The one who always beat him. The one who always poked mean fun at him. The genius.
“Alright, I guess so,” he said, finally realizing it was over. He stood up, then winced in pain. He sat back down on the soft snow. “I can’t stand,” he said.
“Well, I’ll help you then I’m your nurse, right?” she said as she slung his arm around her shoulder, and then began to walk through the snowy forest. Lee felt humiliated. She had witnessed his defeat, and it was a harsh defeat at that. He felt his nose as he felt something trickle down. Blood.
“All right, we’re here,” she said as they arrived at Mei’s house. She made Lee sit down on the soft snow, since a bench wasn’t to be found, and wait for here to return with the first aid kit. He watched her run in, the come back out with a small, white box with a red cross on it. She sat down in the snow across from Lee and opened up the kit. She pulled out a few band-aids.
“Lee, please don’t feel bad about losing to Neji. He’s just a cruel, stiff guy who likes beating on guys who weren’t born with all the talent he doesn’t deserve,” she started out, sticking a band-aid on his nose.
“Ouch ” he cried out softly.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Did that hurt? Just hold still...” she said, placing a small pad of cotton on his bruised cheek, and attaching it with some small strips of band-aid. “You just haven’t trained enough. You’ll be able to beat him someday, and I’ll be there, rooting for you,” she said, finishing up the facial work of the first-aid. “You seem to leave yourself open a lot. Try working on defense a bit when sparring, ‘kay?” she said with a wink. He blushed and looked away with a smile.
“I’m leaving myself open a lot, am I?” he said, poking her with two fingers to the left of her collar bone, then bringing her softly to the snow.
“Look who’s talking?” he said with a laugh. She laughed too. But soon Lee was blushing uncontrollably, for there she was, laying in the snow, and there he was, on top of her, looking into her deep blue eyes. She then smiled at his shyness and gave him a kiss on his band-aided nose, hoping to make it better. He blushed again. They just stared in each other’s eyes, smiling, enjoying their youth and love, and then they separated.
“Well, are you okay anyway?” Mei asked.
“I think I’m all better,” he replied, and then he stood up. He pulled up Mei, then he said he was heading home. And when he turned his back, an incredibly wet feeling of cold ran down his back. He turned around with Mei grinning at him. She had stuffed a snowball down his shirt. He then grinned back and returned the favor. As they laughed, Lee no longer felt the humiliation of losing to Neji. Just happiness ran through his mind. Youth, love, and cold snowballs. That was all he needed.
Wasn't too bad I hope >.<;; Just like I said, a boredom thing. Please no flame >.<. *hides in corner from flamers*
