I tend to prefer the arcade sticks personally. But I don't have much of a problem in switching back and forth between the two.

Standard Dualshock, with two fingers, not thumb. Kinda screws up the easy grapple button, but you get used to doing it with your two fingers.
Incidentally, dancemats can make for an interesting match. By interesting I mean painful, limb twisting mess.

I have 3 i use. I use a new PS1/PS2 blue one, old fashion PS1 with janky left analog stick ( it makes you move on your own without touching it!) and a good PS1 controller.

Tekkensennin I get the feeling my choise will soon be the Sixaxis ninja ninja ...which turns out to be untrue, the EWGF is impossible! Or maybe it's not the controller, but the T5DR system and stuff...

Pooky Girl I'm not too fond with the joystick, I prefer the directional pad better. This is what I assign the L and R buttons for:- L1: LP+RK L2:LP+RP R1:RP+LK R2:LK+RK i do this too!!

My joystick's a little rusty (I haven't played with a stick in ages), but I prefer it over the pad because for me, it's more challenging to to move your character.
As of right now, I've been kicking a** with a standard PS2 controller, since most arcades in Philly closed down. Anyone know any good joysticks for PS2?

Radica makes a type of arcade stick compatible with any game on the PS2. http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Exponet-GAMESTER-USA-PS2-Arcade-Stick Also, how in the hell can a Analog nub get rusty, anyway? confused
