So yeah, my best friend wrote this poem

Heart-Felt
There's a ridiculous amount of fakers in here,
And it's beginning to give me a headache.
The noise they make, the tales they tell -
I want to stab 'em all in their throats with a spoon.
They pretend to know how we feel, to understand our emotions,
But they're all fakes, and they can't ever g e t i t r i g h t.
We're not about looking cool,
(we don't even know what that means);
We're about ourselves, doing what we feel we should -
Even if its for our own harm.
We just don't care.
Not for our lives, not for theirs, not for anything.
We want to be accepted, though, by those we love.
We do recognize that we have a problem:
The scars remind us of that everyday.
Sure, we keep our blades close at hand and the conviction in our hearts,
But w e d i d n ' t c h o o s e t h i s , not like those fakers.
We can't help ourselves.
Like vampires, we desire the smell, the taste of blood.
And yet, unlike vampires, we need only our own.
No one else's can suffice our thirst.
Yes, we are crazed.
No, this is not a fad.
T h i s i s o u r p r o b l e m .
We're not like the rest of you, and we never asked for this.
But, we're proud of who we are, the /way/ we are.
