To clarify several things here. . .
First, as others have already said, Zoicite impersonates Sailor Moon in one episode (the one where Venus comes) in order to trick Tuxedo Kamen. Zoicite even reveals this fake Sailor Moon on TV so Mamoru will see it.
Second, in PGSM, it is Mercury who is turned evil by Kunzite. She turns into Dark Mercury and gets a bit of a makeover. Sailor Moon doesn't turn evil. However, her alter-ego Princess Serenity is seen as destructive, for lack of better words. All she wants is for her and Endymion to be able to be together without interference. She refuses to allow what happened in the past (Endymion was killed, causing her to have a royal hissyfit and thus destroying the entire planet) to happen again, but her scouts are trying to prevent them from being together. The difference in power as well as personality between Moon and Serenity in the live-action series is quite big. Serenity has a harder expression, and also has no trouble standing up to Beryl's power. In one episode, she simply deflects Beryl's blasts with a wave of her wand.
Hope that helped!
