Usagi (Serena) is supposed to be 4' 11" when she's fourteen. eek DUDE!!! That is short. Why is she that short? I'll tell you it isn't because she's asian. Even asians have reached 5 feet when their fourteen. The question is why is she so short? Hope I didn't insult anyone. I'm short for my age too. mrgreen

LOL I'm 18 going on 19 and I've been 4'11" since 5th or 6th grade. LOL that's why I love Usagi! wee!! LOL

I'm 5'3" and 18... so I guess all of us are living examples of "how" Usagi can be so short.

Makoto/Jupiter is about my height (5'6") and she's considered really tall.....
i know i'm taller than most, but never thought of me as a giant like they percieve Mako-chan as.

5'6" is somewhat tall for a 14-year-old, especially in Asia...

Yes, according to Wiki, Makoto's height is quite tall in Asia. So most people there would be five foot something or lower. I wander why....

Must be with what they eat or something, seeing a lot of Asian people eat a lot of healthy food.

What I find strange about Usagi's height is that she doesn't look at all like a girl who is meant to be four foot eleven o_O

If Usagi is meant to look like that then how tall is ChibiUsa do you think?

Keep in mind, Sailor Moon is based in 1994. That's over 10 years ago, so the current average heights don't factor in. Usagi's just short even for a Japanese girl, Rei and Ami are taller than her if you don't count the buns on her head, Minako is about her height as well, but looks to be a fraction taller in many scenes.

Usagi's the childminded one, it makes sense that she's smaller than the others. Also, by the time she is 16, she is 5'4".
