At the Omniplex

Tenderly the lonely monster places
The lit candle on the mantle
Then grabs the handle
Of the door.

Jealously the downy cub cries
Echoing doom throughout the room
Then knocks the moon
To the floor.

He walks through the doors
Leaves the castle
Goes outside.

Scorn and scrawny the cub cries
And cries.

He hears the homily
Which rouses the feelings
He holds inside.

Growling and grouchy the cub spies.
And sighs.

First a tackle then a crackle;
The sky falls like daggered drops.

The monster dies.
