i donno if there are any poser bands (other then MCR, but i'll get to that in a sec), but i don't see why there can't be a poser band. it's all marketing.. 'emo' is a big thinig right now... and record companies know it.. sadly...

and MCR, i think they we're truely emo... up untill their lastest albume. now, i love MRC to death, but it really seems like they are trying too hard to appeal to 'emo' kids now... it's sad... and i miss Gerards ugly greasey long hair. sad

Ya,bands can be posers..um..like green day..

Greendays not poser.
There not emo and there older punk.
They've been punk longer then you've been alive.

Lol you think greenday are punk... they are a punk inspired pop band and always have been. smile

But there still not a poser band.
They paid there dues as a punk band in there earlier.....then they sucked/

Name me one punk greendsay song, and they are posers now.

the old iron maiden was good punk, so is the old misfits, and the buzzcocks
that's the only punk i listen to

I hate bands that change their style of music to something more popular, or more generic, just so people will buy it. That's the most irritating poser band trait I think.

Like MCR. They used to be so cool when they had the revenge thing going on but now they changed their style completly. It annoys the s**t out of me.

1st cd = realy good
2nd cd= umm okay still alright
3rd cd= what the ********?

me too, now he's black again, go figure. but he still has short hair.

yes it has become very common for these "new age" bands to proclaim they fit into a certain group when honestly they are far from it
