I just got my wii a few days ago and I was wondering, has Nintendo or any other publisher released any online games, or is online game-playing not released yet?

Not yet. That Pokemon Revolution game will be the first when it comes out (or at least... it was the first announced to have it. Another company may snipe the position of first Wii wifi game... time shall tell)
