It hasn't given me much trouble at all.
As far as sleeping, I've had to deal with my industrial before, and other ear piercings as well. Subconsciously while I sleep I remember when I turn around to my right side to cup my hand over my ear so I don't rub it against anything. It's strange.

What's it like to have a BCR as healing jewellery in a conch? I wanted on initially, but opted for a stud as my piercer told me it'd be more comfortable.

Which it proved to be, and also helped it heal quicker as there wasn't much movement.

Mine healed fine. I have a captive ring in my left ear where the conch is also pierced, and my piercer put in a larger one so it wouldn't rub against my ear and such. It's healed fine with no trouble, but it's a little uncomfortable to sleep on, so tomorrow when I go back to the shop to hang out with my piercer, I'm going to have him put something smaller in.

As far as pain went for the rook and snug, it wasn't really that bad at all for me. The snug is the only piercing at the moment that's giving me any sort of pain. The cartlidge along the side of it is a little tender and swollen, but other than the norm, nothing terrible is happening.
