Sushi? Even if ...

A guy who used to have a crush on me invited me out to lunch today. Sushi. I'm going--but I'm wary. I told him I'd meet him there rather than let him come pick me up, and I'm going to be sure to dress very casually.

But what do you all think?
Is this a good idea or a bad idea?
Is it so bad that I should avoid going at the last minute?
Have you had to face a similar, awkward social situation?

Do you have a problem with him? Because if not, I see no reason to avoid going on a casual date with him.

He's persistent in spite of my having a boyfriend--he doesn't see LD as a "relationship". Last summer, he kept bragging to people about how I was giving him all the right signals. Tried to kiss me once--that didn't go over so well with me. smile

Anyway, it ended up going fine today. He just needs a "platonic date" for a wedding he's going to.
Should be safe enough.

Be careful - weddings, alcohol - can be a bad mix. Make sure you're not reliant on him for a ride home...

Another date while you're in a relationship can be suspicious as well, let yourboy friend know it isn't more than it seems.
