- Basic Plot -

Crystal Tokyo, 3022 AD.

The world is at peace and technology has advanced in great leaps and bounds over the last thousand years. However, there are rumors of a cult calling itself "New Dawn of Mankind", which promises godhood for its members through the study of esoteric ancient knowledge and magical practice. The leader of this movement is a mysterious entity known only as "The Didact". The world government, ruled by Neo-Queen Serenity and her consort, Neo-King Endymion, currently does not consider the New Dawn to be dangerous, though there have been advisories to monitor them.

Meanwhile, the ancient past comes full circle to this world of the future on the night of a comet's near passage to Earth. Passing too close to the combined gravity well of Earth and its moon (which in the thirtieth century is now quite a bit closer than it had been in the twenty-first century), the comet breaks apart and the pieces fall to the planet's surface. Neo-Queen Serenity's power through the Legendary Silvery Crystal had protected Earth from the largest chunks which orbital defenses had been unable to destroy which resulted in smaller meteorites striking the planet's surface with minimal damage.

And so, the story begins...

- Proper Forum RPing 101 -

For those of you who are used to using just a single thread for RPing, this will be a new experience for you. I consider an RP to be complete only if it has at least an entire subforum to itself. Confused as to what to do? We've got you covered. Here's some tips:

1. Create a profile so everyone knows who you are roleplaying as. Unprofiled posts will be deleted on sight.

2. Pick a location to begin at. Locations in the world are represented as individual threads. You post in the thread that is labeled whatever location your character is supposed to be at the given time.

3. Be specific as to where your character is going next. You must narrate (even if your character says something) the action of going somewhere when you change location.

4. When typing, PLEASE do not use chatspeak (a.k.a. "txt tlk") and use proper punctuation and capitalization. Write it like you would write a story and please have some substance to each post so that everything flows as others read through it.


5. If you need a location put in that isn't there yet, feel free to put in a new thread with the first post being a short description of the place it is supposed represent.)

-Rules-

1. You MUST make a profile before joining the RP.

2. Absolutely NO GOD-MODDING!

3. Keep action PG-13 or lower. Tasteful romance is allowed, but there will be no sexually explicit content, crude comments, or direct references to inappropriate subjects.

4. Absolutely NO CHATSPEAK (when you don't spell out everything you type)! Literate RPing ONLY! This means proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalisation is required.

5. You are free to use either an original character or a canon character. However, canon characters MUST conform to the time period and the writer must be able to portray that character according to their personality in the manga at the very least. Further, no resurrecting dead characters unrealistically. Rebirth is fine, but you must explain how they were reborn into this time period in your profile.

6. I greatly encourage those who didn't follow the Sailor Moon storyline very much to do their research. WikiMoon is a good place to start. Just search for the content you need to research and chances are you'll find what you need. I don't want to be correcting people in the middle of the RP.

7. Of course, follow Gaia's ToS. This is paramount above all other rules listed here.

8. Since we allow visual aid, please don't steal other people's art. that is a moral no-no and is disrespectful to the artist. If you want to put in artwork, it should be your own. If it isn't, you must have permission to use it in the fashion you are using it. Thank you.

Now, another thing I have to be very clear about: Alternate universe content, crossovers, or anything else which doesn't fit within the framework of what the manga's canon has established won't be accepted in this roleplay. We are keeping this purely Sailor Moon and any original characters can't break the parameters of canon lore.

Only females can be Sailor Guardians. While males can have a Sailor Crystal (like Endymion has Earth's), they cannot be Sailor Guardians. They have no formal title the way Sailor Guardians do and their powers will often differ from what a Sailor Guardian can bring to bear, although this is not to say their spells are not potent.

All the Canon Sailor Senshi live at the Palace to better protect the Royal Family. They all have pursued their hobbies and/or dreams in their adult years.

Minako is an accomplished Film actress with a record label.

Makoto helps with food preparation at the Palace and even owns a bakery.

Rei is head Priestess at Hikawa Shrine.

Ami is an MD and even founded a major hospital.

Haruka is a professional racer.

Michiru is a world-renowned violinist.

Setsuna is a seamstress and has moved on to clothing design and has her own line of designer clothing.

Hotaru is kept around by the Queen as a friend and Guardian for Chibiusa, but also to keep her destructive powers in check.

The Asteroid Guardians are awakened and are all second-year high school students


Silver Millennium's technology and level of civilisation was clearly highly advanced according to manga references. 30th century Earth is approaching the level of the "gods" of ancient times.
