I'm at the end of the second and want to play the first and third ones. Unfortunately I'm afraid to take on the boss of the 2nd one, and I'm determined not to buy another one until I beat the game I currently have.
Fatal Frame as a whole has been one of the few games that actually scare me still once I get used to the controls. The story line is also very good in the 2nd one.

haha I was the same...well not only with the
boss but with all the damn ghosts that pops
up out of nowhere...have u fought the woman
that fell off the stairs already...LOLZ!! I remember
the first time I had to fight her i didnt wanna go
down the stairs at all.... gonk
I never remember fighting her, but I know I'm at the end of the game. xD
I played through on easy though, so she might only show up on normal or something >>;
haha I guess so....will I know for a fact that
you had to fight the broken neck lady rite?
I remember you had to fight her near the
end in order to get the one of the family crest
and just to let you know if u think series 2 is hard
wait till you play 3 the ghosts are way faster.....

It's not really that it's hard, so much as I'm too scared to think straight. I can play through Silent Hill or something like that easily (once I get the controls down) and be fine. But Fatal Frame messes with me D: The ghosts can go through walls and come out of the ceiling D;
That, and I'm horribly afraid of ghosts. xD
So I play it on easy so while I'm shaking there in fear I don't die. rofl
