Need Cabriole Help!

So I started to learn a lyrical solo for festival yesterday. I've done one year of lyrical and ballet. And since festival is like, in May, my teacher made some things harder so I could learn them throughout the year.
But I need some help! We came to this move in the dance, a cabriole (to the back).
It's so hard! I could barely to a stag jump last year!
I need some suggestions on what I need to concentrate on when doing a cabriole. Plie, I know, push through the floor, I know...

try just standing at the bar and doing the move. use your arms to hod your bodey so you can do it slowly, and then try it out in the center

That's what me and my teacher tried when I couldn't do it at center.
Thing is, I won't have much access to a barre for a while...

make sure you try to hold your back up, leaning forward to get your legs up in back can become hazardous *smacks forehead on floor* sweatdrop
