I'm currently finishing up my last prescription, Doxycilin (I believe that's how you spell it), which is supposed to help clear up my acne.
My skin is generally pretty oily if I do nothing with it. For years now I've been trying different prescriptions, and different facewashes to help with this. It's not nearly as bad as it used to be, but it's still pretty bad.
Any advice?

Skin care?

Step 1. Get skin.
Step 2. Care.
Step 3. Done.

Did you try ProActive?
I know people who use it and it actually works pretty well.
The pill also help for acnea, since I take it my acnea is gone.

Not. Helping.
LeDesordre: I haven't. I may try it, I just have to convince my dad, since I'm currently broke.

I took Acutane for a little bit and it cleared it up real fast... the only problem is that it has adverse health effects as well...
I use something from Vichy now it's got 4% saylic acid, it's a tiny little bottle and should clear it up within 2 days... it's kinda expensive though...

I used Proactive for a bit... it' didn't do too much only made my skin tight and dry.

I tried the Vichy one and it didn't work for me.
Depends on your type of skin. Some products won't work on some people but will have good effect on others.

I used to use Proactive, it was actually really good. I took medication for a while too but it never worked as well as the Proactive did.

That settles it.
I'm giving in to commercials.

You see.
My mom & step dad are cheap a** hoes so when I get a really bad zit I put toothpaste on it. (not the gel kind)
=/
It really works better then half the other crap I've used.

And I have naturally oily skin too.
But they won't buy me stuff like Proactive or anything like that.
They say my migraine meds cost enough as it is.

But what's been working for me is Neutrogena Acne Stress Control.
That & for the sheer fact that I've done it...lemon juice.

Go swimming at the local Y.
The chlorine will clear your pores.

Proactive didnt work for me.....
My skin takes in too much water for Proactive to work....
Which is good, cause it will halp me look 20 when im 40^^

Anyways...

I use Clean and Clear Advanged Acne Controll
It worked REALLY well for me!!
It started working the first day^^

But, still, try Proactive. It might work for you^^

Me helping-

I usually wash my face on a daily basis
soap works

and if not, then just buy something that says "scrub" on the bottle because you should scrub hard to make it work, particularly on the nose and forehead
