Death is like a chair
A comfort so well-meaning
I stand still
(outside any important limitations)
And watch the sky fall
I stare at my shattered reflection
And I wonder what Death feels
(on the other side)
If I stay here, forever myself,
I am quite unknown
If I stay here,
In this unbroken silence
This piercing sound so loud
I can’t hear myself scream
Watching my own heart
Grind slowly to a stop
Maybe I might just leave
Dazed I fly
None could ever catch me here
